it idles and revs fine sitting still, but when i go to take off out of first or down low it bogs pretty bad, bad enough that it struggles to get going again when i pull the clutch in, so i would assume that its either my floats or pilot jet mods t-5 filter 250 mains stock pilots (25) needle is on the 2nd clip going down from blunt end. tried air screws at 1 turn, 2 turns, and 2 and a half turns and still does it so kinda leans more towards the floats being off measure. thanks guys

takes a lot to get it to turn over

well if you jetted your bike or had both carbs off at the same time then i think you have accidently swapped bowls, mine did this ecaxt thing and that was problem until it was warmed up it wouldnt start because the choke wouldnt activate so take the bowl off the carb that has the choke, now there is a brass tube that gos from the carb body to the inside of the bowl and its only on the left carb (choke carb) where that tube is suposed to go, the spot where that brass tube goes should have a small hole in the vary bottom so gas can flow through to it, you will know what i am talking about when you take it off -
i change my mind , i dont like em, get the ktm 525 sick , if i WAS to sell my banshee it would be for that, but that wont happen

hmm check if its an air leak, if not i would say either a 27.5 pilot or you have you carb bowls criss-crossed make sure that the left carb (with the choke) has the bowl with a small brass ball or if you look inside it and where a small brass tube on the carb body goes into should have a small hole on the very bottom -
i like em,

TAKE YOUR TIME, main thing IMO take as long as posible putting it back together, dont have toooo many beers but stay hidrated, and dont get mad at a stupid bolt or screw that may be striped or cross-threaded, simply stop and get the bolt and continue when cool, oh and dont be scared to stop and check out how everything works and all that But Take your time

350BANSHEE350 replied to 350BANSHEE350's topic in General Banshee Discussion
yeah well the problem with ordering stuff from the US is the fees and taxes main triple the price of the jets for shipping and taxes which sucks but ill try the air screw stuff and up the idle and seee how it does tomorrow i really want to just get done with it and ride! -

sorry guys should have been more spacfic 240 main needle is 1 down from blunt end so almost all the way dropped stock pilot (25 i think) T.O.R.S are removed the problem is i will never be able to find any kind of pilot jet which means i will need to pay 30 shipping on a couple oz jet -
damn dude just tell us who he is and then he will need to watch his back

okay so i changed the mains again and up top is fine (t-5 air filter no lid) but when its idling in frist with the clutch in and i give it alittle gas to get rolling it dies out and is difficult to get rolling but once its rolling its fine so i figured it must be pilot jet(i hope not) but i do have the idle super low like so low that just putting it in gear alone it almost dies, so is this a matter of just upping the idle a little and messing the the air screws?

joe welcome and good buy as stated above you need 150 or less then compression to run pump 91-93 premium octane and to change the compression you can put the advanced timing plate to +4 AND change the domes out of the cool head, although i have not read or heard about D&D heads you need to find out who makes different size domes for it

Shifting w/o using the clutch
350BANSHEE350 replied to caddyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
^ what he said you should always use the clutch it releaves most pressure but you can hold throttle wide open and shift using the clutch it works great , just dont recommend it on paved roads lol -

^ dont just go and rip it apart thats foolish, check the simple things first like spark etc if everything checks out there then remove the tors with the kit and get the carbs synced better because the tors dont allow that to happen very well then last take it apart -

^ what he said i like my parents want me to go to college or university so they said they would pay for it which i am extremely thankful for but inspires me to do the same for my kids which is why i want a good job that i like there are a few teams that race in alberta i will look more into my dad also told me to call and ford or chevy dealership and they have people that actually help you find what you want to do and help you go in that direction which i might do as i mentioned my uncle being a top welder, the guy that tought him is retired but his sun which is about 50 now actually talked with me about what i want to do and i told him i DONT want to change the oil out of some buddys old rust bucket and he asked me if i really am desired to work on cars and motors and i told him its my life right now at the age of 15 well he said thats awesome and that he could hook me up with a few restoration builds , i didnt talk with him long because it was the christmas party but it sounds like a pretty cool thing you guys have helped me a bunch and i can always use more advice from you guys thanks alot Mike

okay so basics t-5s and pro design air filter kit with lid removed and 3700-4000 feet aboce sea level for 20 degrees celcius i got my main figured out with a 250 but when i have it sitting still in idle and i slam the throttle from dead idle (note i have my idle pretty low, pretty much as low as you can go) it blurs and dies, is this right? i mean from 0% throttle to 100% i would think its normal because thats a big breathe if you know what i mean but if i just tap it to like 1/4 or 1/2 its fine and revs up quite nicely if this is a problem going from 0 to 100 percent idle would i be able to fix this problem by picking up the needle 1 notch or is it pilot jet? i have not had the chance to ride it yet due to snow but should be able to eventually thanks guys
