haha sorry guys it was late okay so i pulled the head off and pulled the gasket off and it left soe weird rubber stuff on top of the jugs wear it was placed i use a q-tip and my fingerust have scrubbed to hard and it left a mark that looked like i scratch i was like crap but i cant feel it. so in other words its like a buff mark or scuff probably would have been better word choice so will my head gasket still seal properly? oh and the cometic gasket isnt flat it has pressed shapes in it, you get it if you see them new, but anyways des it matter which way i put the gasket on as far as upside down ?

so i got my head off and theres some seal that i need to clean of right and i used a q-tip (sp) and when i was done i ended up with a small buff on one cylinder. being careful not to scratch it. you can nt feel the little buff but you can see it will this affect anything

hey. slasher i live in calgary market is expensive for used stuff down here isnt it well i would do what has been mentioned get a good comression tester and test both machines (should be around 110 psi for our sea level) ride them both look at both plugs look at how clean they are rust etc riding areas in alberta can be ruff so stand the machine up on the grab bar 9put a towel down though so you dont scratch the grab bar) and make sure nothing is bent if both machines are okay then go with the 2000 because mods arnt cheap here partscanada.com charges about 790$ for fmf pipes or if you online order them shipping is big bucks good luck btw maybe wait for a little things seem to be cheaper when the snow is gone and you dont want to rush when it comes to buying a used shee

they are splash guards and should be there the are not ment to be under the main jet you just screw the main in and slide it over top all the way down

pointless IMO all you need to do is make sure your gas can is always clean and make sure your tank is always clean and thats free besides you could pick p a filter at a hardware store for a buck if you reall want one dirt gets in easier at other places (air filter, any clamps for the carbs etc)

okay so i just need to double check some things about 2 parts 1. i got an inline cooler and it says to place it 10 cm from the hot hose (as in hot coolent going to the rad) which is the "hot" hose? the one from the head to the rad? 2. i got my case saver and i am just wondering if i remove the white plastic peice in the front sprocket are where the saver is placed or if it goes over top of it thanks
