  1. Im at sea level same set-up,180 main 55 pilot, cel 4th clip.Jetted for 1/4 mile.Maybe its just me but that sounds lean
  2. What jets are in there now with mods ,pilot might be off 4 your set up
  3. I also bet jeffs work will yeild more than 10horse
  4. Fast can set you up for stock carbs no doubt,I have had stock carb bikes that ran just as good as other peoples 4mils with carbs.
  5. Call me back Ill see what I can do
  6. If your friend has 34s they are pj carbs,33mm pwk is the best trail /all around carb there is,my first 4mil is similar to your set-up and ran real mean with those carbs.
  7. I know you checked but it sound like electrical,I have seen severely hacked cylinders run good,im going with electrical though
  8. Bolt it on and shift never!Do it once do it rite,I have pulled apart four motors this year for tranny mods after fresh builds. Two frm this site, they dont shift well at all especially in drag situations.Buy the cub definitally but save until you can get some other goodies too, dont want too see you go through what they did.Good luck just trying help
  9. Stock air box?Lid no lid whats the deal?
  10. The only thing that would help alot is exhaust duration #s,most of the shit I wrote down with durations instead of port type,Go rich first see how she feels. If its fresh do a couple of heat cycles with the 360s take it for a rip see how it feels, just dont string it out if its a new build ,let her break in then tune it.You can go crazy jetting b4 the rings are seated properly, plus I baby new motors
  11. I was talking like 2500 for stock cylinder drag peace ,your tranny/clutch will make the motor
  12. 340-360,27.5 pilot 1 1/2turns out
  13. If you use cut pistons you go further away from stock, add duration
  14. I had to call my boy up because I forgot what jets I put In his bike,4mill cub 34pjs 162 main,52pilot,cel needle 4th clip,Your fat besides the gas issue
  15. Im sayin 100 octane for that compression with +4 timing
  16. I built a fully ported stock bike,by the time your done(if doing it the rite way)its about the same,my stock cylinder bike runs with cubs but there is more capability from a cub
  17. Deto can make it run funkie, lean condition will do the same,I dont think your lean unless you developed an air leak or something,I still think your washing your plugs, definitally mix 50/50 with that compression
  18. I think your way off !With a drag port /cpi pipes You should be in the upper 300s 30 pilot and aftermarket needles.I ran a drag ported stock cylinder bike stock carbs, shearers with a 420main 30pilot and vitos red needles with a perfect plug chop for the 1/4,you can go leaner short distances
  19. Does it still have the tors system and can you raise the idle screw at all
  20. RDZ pipes are ear peircing for some reason
  21. You could still be rich, washing the plugs clean,I have seen that too
  22. Dyna ignitions have the shift kill option, you must run a 12v source and a momentary button clutch side to operate it.The buety of the system is use it when you want to
  23. I dont think that jetting is lean at all,how does the chop look. With those durations that pipe is within its limits.I just jetted a 4mil with 196 deg w/34pjs at 162 50.I could have dropped mor but most people dont jet daily like myself so I left it richside/safeside.What makes you think its lean if thers no popping or spitting,if its lean the plug will be almost white still after running it
  24. I beleive alot can ly in the port work also if an improper job was done .if the cylinder is not scavenging rite you can lose fuel at lower engine speeds,or if transfers were cut on wrong angles.Jetting! could be it too, ignition,.My bike guzzles gas in the 1/4mile I coulnt imagine driving it all day.Compression will definitally hurt your performance .
  25. I have easily put 20hrs into porting, being anal is my nature but thats alot of time.Compare that to jeff who can knock out a play port in 5hrs and a drag port in 12hrs.There is not to many people who tune by me so I do it all myself. There is nothing wrong with wanting knowledge but no one will give it.I have spent thousands on tooling in the past three years and need more .Any one can give you #s but where to take and leave material is experiance.Get a doner bike and start playing around, something you dont mind popping the jugs off every three hrs trying new shit
