  1. I use case sealer and locktite on everything, people critisize me all the time but my shit never breaks when I need it to run good
  2. I have seen the top case epoxed up where your talking about. After porting the top case they use the shit to to smooth out the gully for flow. They then redrill the hole to oil the crank bearing
  3. An air striker has extra air vents and long tubes that wrap around carb top and back down,I dont think they make a 36mm air striker but I could be wrong
  4. I have read a similar article but now have it saved ,Thank you
  5. Did you ever drill/tap a brass idle screw in the side of each carb?If not thats your problem your half removed
  6. Get a manual and ohms test it for resistance, check the pick-up coil gap it should be .020
  7. Build up happens,I have never seen a two stroke that doesnt. If you clean it off and do a good pull and there is a ton of it you might be rich
  8. Those carbs jet real low,big compression motor-aggressive port work-4mil took 135main 40pilot.Hope this helps
  9. They obviously didnt do something rite, why did you rebuild the carbs ? Was it the same way hard to start. Is the bike bone stock
  10. I would say 35s will hold you back on a drag port. You can jet shearers for a stock port bike w/ stock carbs.I have done that for a few, they felt great even on a stock port bike
  11. Are you running pump gas,I have a similar set up on a bike here at sea level you being 2000ft isnt even a jet size yet.I have 280 mains,27.5 pilots, vitos needles 4th clip
  12. 300 main 27.5 pilot, you will prob end up at a 290 in good weather
  13. You dont want to build the motor without freshining up the bore,I like to start fresh so there is no clearance issues with the piston. The piston/rings will last longer.Call a site sponsor and get away from the kit shit its too generic a good builder will give you a kit persay and there is no guess work on mismatched set-ups
  14. I have had four diffrent set of shearers, two used two new.The used sets were not show chrome so I wasnt expecting anything. The second set I called matt shearer and he made me a set of inframes to fit with an air box this was show chrome and were flawless and still are.The last set was my oofs I have sent them back twice and am still not happy.I was told thats the best chrome im gonna get for $100 and hes probably rite.He offered them to me raw with a refund 4 the chrome but I waited so long I kept them.Like dajogejr said get them raw and chrome them yourself.Still the best drag pipe out there
  15. No gain unless your top end is toast and running like shit
  16. I love air chisels,there the shit
  17. Even if you overfill it ,the bike will find its own happy medium and spit overflow into tank
  18. Check your intake boots for a rip,air leak.Did you just put new carbs on or clean the old ones
  19. I really like a stock coil unit, but if you want nology coils have the best out put #s
  20. Its not a recirculation tank, you dont even need it.I take them off all bikes except ones that run at the track.Dont worry its plumbed rite
  21. post pics of the rest of the ports and the bottom of the cylinder
  22. Your better off buying all your stuff from one guy,he can piont you in a direction and make sure you cover all bases.Buying stuff from diffrent people can leave you in a mismatched machine if your non knowledgable on the subject
  23. Chech piston/cylinder clearance in both barrels with a bore guage if accesable, check if piston skirt collapsed
  24. Yes that it aluminum taken out is it ported well or nice,NO!!!!.Did the bike ever have fuel through it with that port work looks fresh
  25. You need to jet up,my bike went from 185 to 195 with that gas
