I have seen the top case epoxed up where your talking about. After porting the top case they use the shit to to smooth out the gully for flow. They then redrill the hole to oil the crank bearing
An air striker has extra air vents and long tubes that wrap around carb top and back down,I dont think they make a 36mm air striker but I could be wrong
I would say 35s will hold you back on a drag port. You can jet shearers for a stock port bike w/ stock carbs.I have done that for a few, they felt great even on a stock port bike
Are you running pump gas,I have a similar set up on a bike here at sea level you being 2000ft isnt even a jet size yet.I have 280 mains,27.5 pilots, vitos needles 4th clip
You dont want to build the motor without freshining up the bore,I like to start fresh so there is no clearance issues with the piston. The piston/rings will last longer.Call a site sponsor and get away from the kit shit its too generic a good builder will give you a kit persay and there is no guess work on mismatched set-ups
I have had four diffrent set of shearers, two used two new.The used sets were not show chrome so I wasnt expecting anything. The second set I called matt shearer and he made me a set of inframes to fit with an air box this was show chrome and were flawless and still are.The last set was my oofs I have sent them back twice and am still not happy.I was told thats the best chrome im gonna get for $100 and hes probably rite.He offered them to me raw with a refund 4 the chrome but I waited so long I kept them.Like dajogejr said get them raw and chrome them yourself.Still the best drag pipe out there
Your better off buying all your stuff from one guy,he can piont you in a direction and make sure you cover all bases.Buying stuff from diffrent people can leave you in a mismatched machine if your non knowledgable on the subject
