  1. I think he is saying Moose clutch with a Hinson basket... Hinson sells a cushion kit that is very inexpensive. Make sure the back plate is not warped, for I have seen that happen before. As mentioned above, it is a very easy fix. Make sure to use loctite on the back plate screws...
  2. Who is sponsoring the event? Four Stroke Association?
  3. I clean my bike before maintenance, but I am weird like that. Have fun installing the T5s!
  4. It is like that with a lot of guys. It bugs me with the zilla guys I have seen because I know zillas can run. I have seen a few fast ones as well, and it is much fun to watch good running zillas rip the hill...
  5. A lockout will only exacerbate your shifting problems... I would make sure everything is adjusted correctly and within serviceable limits before going the override route...
  6. Bump. A few bites, but I still have them.
  7. I have seen quite a few zillas in the dunes, and most of the time they are not tuned even close to efficient. The owners stand around scratching their asses trying to figure out why they do not run hard... Clutch this, crank that, tires this, bad gas that...
  8. Can you expand on the shifting problems?
  9. Looks like a Keihin 28PWK to me. I am not 100% sure...
  10. 28Nm/20ft-lb Be sure to follow the sequence, and torque the nuts in increments...
  11. Nothing, domes are kind of important... EDIT: Are you wanting to know what an aftermarket head with stock cc domes will do?
  12. I think you are the first person I have ever heard that likes a 13 with a cub. That is interesting... With an override, I really like the 15-40/41/42 range...
  13. I vote for "pin the piston on the builder"...
  14. I rode with a guy who had a Rudy Kurtz ported stock cylinder engine. It ripped... I kinda got the impression that Rudy was working on a who-you-know basis, but that is just the way it sounded form one conversation with one guy...
  15. The $100 permit fee is not terribly expensive. I suppose it beats the hassle and expense of fines and charges. I have a black cloud over my head, so I would definitely be the one to get busted, even if I were there only one day... It does add up year after year though...
  16. What are the penalties/fines if you guys get caught without a permit?
  17. So, are you wanting to gear it so that 1st on the override is similar to 2nd on a stock transmission?
  18. Lee has his ear to the ground around here. I had a problem with my premium status last week. Sent him an email, and he replied within minutes. He had my account fixed before I could even start to bitch at loco.
  19. If the end of the rod is rounded over, you will not be able to get it out. I am not saying yours is rounded over, just keep that in mind if it does not come out...
  20. You should run that cub on straight 109 and bump the timing. Cubs do well with a little timing...
