  1. Whats the diffrence in a short rod crank and a long rod crank. (which is better is what i'm asking) and is there any major difference between the two?
  2. Whats the major difference between coolheads and a shaved head? Which gives more to a motor (which is better)?
  3. Okay, here's the deal. Recently I got some work done to the Shee. Ported Cyliders (between drag and dune port i think, so i wont have to run strictly high octane gas but can if i choose to but enough to ride on the street and race sometimes), 34mm carbs, adjustable timing plate, Shearer in-frame drag pipes, shaved head, 16/40 sprocket setup, v-force reeds, and 4 mill stroker crank. Can't really remember what its bored to (maybe 64 over 75 or something like that. Rode it one time and clutches were slipping but could feel the power in the low gears. Some friends of mine have Raptors and a couple of them have Banshee's (one stock and one with a little port work and cpi drag outer frame pipes). Is there anything else that i can do to go faster without being strictly for the track. I figure i'll beat them pretty bad when we race though. Any suggestions on other Mods?

  5. Got that taken care of and found out my stator was bad (the wires came aloose and it wasnt getting any fire) bought a new stator, 1 problem solved. Ran into another. Found out the push rod through my tranny was seized up and/or seized to the bearing. Tryna think of a way to get it out without splitting the cases again (already split it twice and tryna think of any way not to do it again). Any ideas need some help.
  6. Sorry bout that. I think 145 or 150. Had 155 in it but was getting to much gas and bogging real bad. Dont really know what the secondary jets are (tha smaller jets). Push starting it crunk up fine so i dont think i blew the motor. Would the clutches cause my mid range to rev like that? Midway through first it kicks in and second is a killer but third and fourth it doesnt really pull as hard. Pulls a little but mainly revs up
  7. Yes it has gas. Brand new rebuilt motor. 4 mill crank, port and polished cyliders, shaved head, timing plate, v-force reeds, shearer inframe drag pipes, 34mm carbs and almost everything you can do to a banshee to ride on the the street and not just for drag racing. i know my jetting wasnt all the way ready for racing but was waiting on my other needles to come in but was still able to ride. Pretty fast considering everything isnt in place yet. Also it revved up alot in 3rd and 4th gear. Hoping its just my clutches slipping or burnt up. Hopefully thats all it is
  8. Myself and some friends were riding our quads and all of a sudden my banshee went dead. It would not start from kicking it off but it would push start. i figured it was just the plugs but it also kind of bogged down when it started. Could it be the jets in my carbs?
