  1. My cdi is relocated between the tank and radiator. As for the key, that is worthless. I deleted my key. I went with a Kompulsive Conceptrs harness after about 5 years just to have it all new and cleaner. However, most of the rats nest of wires is hidden between the tank and radiator.
  2. Stock works fine. Or FMF. If they are too short. Stretch them a little by hooking one end to the foot peg and pulling with the spring removal tool. Careful because they stretch easy once you pull hard enough.
  3. Moonshine just gets the taste and bacteria out your mouth. So it's kinda irrelevant.
  4. That's what i had to do. It was a lot of shims. I also had 30oko carbs so maybe the cap was a little smaller. I used cascade style aluminum clamps which has two small allan head screws to hold the expansion chamber to the stinger. I also had stock intake and reed spacers.
  5. I took 2 1/2 years. Do you need a safe space?
  6. Dark color. Your local powder shop has tons of them. I knew I didn't want a bright flashy color so I went through his book I don't care for black or gray either. Too common.
  7. ^ Canada doesn't get government cell phones and Internet. Stay out of this
  8. at what temp should you shut the engine off?
  9. I'd be surprised as well. Worth a shot though!
  10. Either way, i want to contact LED late this year to see if he will build some quieter silencers for my shearers. Cascade quit making them.
  11. No mine was paid for November-ish of 2013 to start the engine. Finished in april-ish of 2014(it took a while because we both agreed on that being ok). Control was late 15 according to when this thread was started. He can confirm his though.
  12. No problem. Just making sure. It certainly doesn't feel like a peaky drag engine. As for the LEd's, I could maybe justify a set of snipers just for shits and giggles, but there's no way I can justify $2800 for LED's. I'm just glad someone did so the community can get real world dyno info. That stuff is RARE.
  13. Here's what is you said from the chat room today: locogato11283 : (27 January 2017 - 12:13 PM) cody, yours is a serval. i asked cam How do i have a serval if they didnt offer one? I'm not trying to start more drama, just setting things strait for the rest of the people curious.
  14. Hell, a couple years would even be fine. You figure, $10-$20 a year for maintenance over the long run isnt a lot. Especially on something vital as engine temp.
  15. I have one. Another 521 serval owner in here posted has one. We would benefit to see benefits from a pipe change. There's a nice number of 521 cub owners out there too. Far more than 521 servals. They drag race. They could benefit from results as well.
  16. Controls build according to this thread started late 2015. 2 years later in 2017 we are done. And there's now a 10mil serval with a 72 bore made. Looking back at my build thread since i dont have invoices at work from redline, my engine was built late 2013/early 2014. So if that's true. I have a cub. Doesnt feel like one though. Years before a servals were out, flotek and i talked about decking a cub or cheetah to have more of a play engine. Interesting.
  17. I like how you put the protective spring on that aftermarket hose Perron. And I want to look into those temp gauges. I like the screen. It's ugly but IMO functions better the readout on the hose.
  18. Well as long as my power band comes on as early as a serval should, im content. I do find it comes on a little late, but it's got shearers. It's not exactly a SLP style pipe. Plus my engine wasnt designed for that. It was designed for open fields. Which it seems spot on.
  19. I did not measure the bore when i had the head off last year. It better be a 72mm bore because that was agreed upon. He never did a 72mm bore serval in 10mil which is why he cut me a lot of slack off the price/r&d and it took so long(which we agreed on). Griff's 10mil was 68 bore. Mine many substantially more power than his and there's a graph showing. Both pump. I'm not disagreeing with anyone. Mines bought, not built. Just trying to understand some things said.
  20. So mine which was built much earlier is a low port timing cub as well?
  21. Plus its a veeeeeeery small market. Most people bitch about $600 stamped pipes costing too much.
