  1. so what makes the stock cages with 2 stage reeds better than v3s?i just dont wanna dick around and spend money if i feel no difference?oh-snoop-how do u like ur tm 28s?again with this-is going from a 26 to 28 flatslide gonna make a difference u can feel??if so-i might look into a tm.u can get them brand new for 250-and i dont gotta spend another 1000 on jets for a keihin.ive got ass loads of jets from my tm 34s.i think the pilots are even the same.can i get pros and cons on switching reeds and carbs.i really do appreciate the help guys.snoop-u da man-sammy thanks for the ported cage post.rajuncajun-i think the norn around here is the cel needles.
  2. ouch-that sucks dude!!i would say thats definately your issue.when u built it were the pistons tight in the bore??how long do u have since build?id still have to believe u would have alot more compression than that even if the rings havent fully seated.any cooling issues??bubbles in overflow??

  4. i agree but not in this case.its like talking to a roll of toilet paper calling him.useless info to say the least-but really did do a nice job on porting,very clean-well leave it at that for the rest of the service.
  5. no-i messed that up-i have an aggresive trail/dune port.ive been adjusting my bike as to what ur telling me snoop so i hope im in the right direction.ive since sold the cpis and have pro circuit platinums on now.i ordered boots for my chariot billet intake so i can use at least stockers now instead of the 34mms.im probably going to dump the v3 reeds,but i opened a post about the vitos carbon flex stage 2 reeds.they are 1/2 the price of carbon tech or boyesen and ive always had good luck with vitos.now-should i dump the intake,or will it not make a difference in power?and also should i port my stock cages for 2 stage reeds or leave them alone????so as of now-the bike has pc pipes,26mm stockers on chariot billet intake machined for v3 reeds.what do u think????
  6. what up guys.trying to decide where to go here.i got v3s now-was thinking of porting stock cages and running a dual stage reed for the woods.i know carbon techs and boyesens are good reeds but $90 too!the vitos are $44.thinking of trying them-just looking for the right set up to run.also im running pc pipes and got 28mm okos on the way.thanks!

  11. ok-i got the post about picking pipes.i got pro circuit platinums but they came with type 296 silencers.i was wondering if i need to get 304 silencers or if the 296s will do fine in performance.right now im ready to tune but i wanna know if these are power robbers or not.i would think anything baffled would reduce power-butvon the other hand theres more backpressure so is that okay?im slowly learning and getting away from window licking-bear with me lol.

  15. i know dude-i already shipped the cpis tho and got some pro ciruits on the way.gonna sell my 34mms and get 28 flatslides too.the only thing is the silencers are type 296 forrestry silencers.ill have to try them-might go 308s.with cpis i had 240 mains dude.if i went leaner i dont know what would have happened!!!!!lol.

  17. timing at 0-when at +4 the bottom was better but top end blew-thats all it has now.called motor buy who ported it-its not a dune/drag but is aggresive trail/dune.hes hard to talk to-no real answers for tuning.he ported for t5s but said i could run cpis with no mod to his porting?i just want a snappy bike that rips and went the wrong way.compression is 155 psi per cyl-again timing at 0.it has 20cc domes.what pipe will be good for ported motors-in the woods thats not a t5.i already ran those-not too crazy bout them.gearing is 14/41 with a 20 inch holeshot-that actually looks 2 inches bigger than all my buddies 20,s-the old style holeshots.
  18. well i am an idiot thinking that if i went for all out hp in a drag port i would get through the woods easily.well im stupid cuz the power curve is poop.i had t5s,and they were better but i tuned it on the street and thought the cpis were better.i needed to tune it in the woods-the t5s were prob better for my app.well before i ship my cyls-id like to try another combo.i want to try pro circuits-and maybe throw my 26,s back on-just to try guys.should i take off my intake w built in crossover too?just wondering if that spacing helps or hurts low end.im going to try this because if im going to cahnge pipes and carbs-id like to salvage the season before i rip into jugs,but ill already have the other parts id need anyway.thanks for the help guys-but i absolutly hate using the clutch when its possible to rip without with the right combo.

  20. i got a set of cpi small bore chrome pipes for sale.they are not good for the setup im trying to run-i need a woods bike.the pipes are only like 2 months old,have no dents,no scratches,no rust.im asking $485 shipped.i will post pics but they will be on the bike still.i will get close ups.i havent taken them off yet till they sell cuz they are all i got till they sell.you can see them in my personal pic but i will post better ones.e mail [email protected] with any questions.ebay is crano2006-check my 100% feedback.i accept paypal.pics will be up tomorrow if i figure it out.if they are not-email me and i will send them to your email.thanks!
  21. ok guys.my mods are dune-drag port job,4 mill stroker,20cc domes,34mm mikuni flatslides and the cpis.ive never been able to tune them to get them where i want.the pipe takes a day to come on.when it does its a rocket but i do mostly woods riding.i dont know y i got them in the first place-to give em a try i guess.im looking for a pipe to go with portwork,still has a good top pull-but i really want a pipe with the quickest powerband hit.i hate waiting for the pipe.my bud had t6s on a ported stock stroke and his feels on everytime u crack it.mine pukes till up top.it really has lightswitch powerband.you got it all,or u got dick.please help me.ive been thinking pro circuits or trinity,but i dont know how they will compliment my mods.thanks guys!

Since nobody answered your thread (or mine)-ill help you out.i would run a 300,(you'll prob end up around a 280 in the end) like you are.you can always go leaner.break it in properly and check a plug.dont check the plugs for at least your break in period and a good ride.its going to be wet looking/rich because your rings need to seat first to give an acurate reading.blow by from rings not being seated yet wont give you proper readings.i would ditch the lid and install a k&n after break in..check plugs after break in first though-if your rich-just ditch the lid to lean you out and start there.

  24. klotz supertechniplate.ive ran amsoil dominator all last year.bike ran good ,no probs.tore it apart for motor upgrades-the carbon was so thick ud need a chisel to get it out.that was 40:1.been running supertechniplate-all this year-looks like i put the motor together 5 mins ago.ill never go back to amsoil-id run their oils in my car and transmission on the shee-but no crank.my 2 cents. :yucky:
  25. hey whiteboy-did you test your stator or just think its bad because it looks bad?not jackin your thread bro-i have cleaned my contacts with sandpaper though snops.its still pretty rusty.im going to change my stator tomorrow evening and i will post if it helped or we have another issue.it is a known good stator that the bike had no problems on...i hope this works but havent had it running right yet so im not counting on it.i have to say-with my t5s on there it was better but still had the same problem.its funny and im glad you posted that vid on youtube-i let my fellow banshee bitches listen and before i said anything they were like "dude that sounds exactly like your bike"lol.ill let you know whiteboy incase you ordered a stator and have to wait for the results..
