  1. Mother $£÷,#;!? $**=,=£$,=*[~■|¡¤♢•¡~♤●♤•¿☆. Damn it! Come across any others let me know!
  2. Tried to pm. Please contact me i had some questions.on the works shocks.
  3. My bad I meant to say I would like to ride 3-4 times a month. I've seen a set of used works but they are 275 and set up for 175-225 lb. By time I get them and I would put money all used shocks will need rebuilt (it seems all my buddies that bought used shocks were all garbage), then by time.they are re-sprung and properly set up I will have 500 in them.if.not more. And they aren't new. I see no real good way around not getting.the elkas. I'll just have to find more time.to ride. My set up now is definately hit. Srock.shit on +2 arms. I ride.in Wellsville ohio and it is a rutted out, washed out, rocky, boulder filled disaster. My stock shit throws me all over the place. I mean it's rideable but I don't think I should be having to fight my ride.
  4. Ok I'm still in turmoil. Don't nail me to the cross here, but can anybody share the 450 shock experience. I want to get the elkas, but it's hard to see spending that dough on a bike I have ridden 5 times the past 3 years. I'm trying to ride more but it seems like if I don't ride that much y spend a grand for shocks. I want better than stock but don't know.if I need bad ass.
  5. Ok stuttering is rich. Do you know what your pilot is? With pipes you are going to need at least a 27.5 and quite possibly 30. My ported 4 mil on race gas is a 32.5 and will pull tree stumps out. My girls bike is a stock everything but pipes and it needs a 30 pilot. It odd because I have an air box on too, but it passed a leakdown with no drop. Some bikes are just different and want what they want. The only way you are going to tell is to experiment. A 300 main you might be slightly rich with a stock.port. is it ported or spacer plate? Actually no I think with pods u might be there or possibly need more. Don't run new plugs when jetting. It will take a hot while.to get.color. with your old plugs the color will change quick especially if you are lean. I would run the air screws in and see where your bottom goes, then either run an air box or get some duct tape and tape half the open box off and see if it runs better. That will tell you if you are rich or lean. Then check plug. Start getting a good color.on.the porcelain and a little oil around the bottom thread base and do a plug chop.
  6. What gave you the indication it was rich on the bottom?
  7. A bog is lean. If it's stuttering it's rich. So u were lean before and switched to pods that's why you are super lean. What is your pilot? Is it bogging low, mid, high? If that compression is right than the motor is shot. How did it run before u switched the pods?
  8. I'm intermediate. I'm 6'3" 330 lbs though. Hard decision. Hell the stage 1 elkas are 599, so then 200 you got 800 in it and have stage 1 with no adjustments. 200 more I can get a set up piggyback set up for the front. It just blows they are so much. I have to hook my girl up for coming back home. It sounds lile.stage 3 is the only way to go. A nice set of rezzi fronts will cost 750. Just for sake, has anybody heard of the gt suspension from maultech? They look nice but no adjustment unless again in the 750 range.
  9. I mean I'm not a hardcore rider or racer by any means. Am I going to notice a money's worth difference from stock if I get the kit with the elka rear? I mean if you have to be racing to notice how it performs it's not needed by me. But if it makes the whole bike handle like a beast than I'm down.
  10. I've been looking for front shocks for my bike. I really don't want to spend a testicle but want a good ride. I've seen the works steeler at, the elka stage 1 and gt suspension around 500.for the front. On ebay they have the elka stage 3 with all 3 shocks for 999. Am I going to notice.the rear beating me.after I get the fronts. I would hate to get just the fronts and then need the rear and have to spend more than the deal package. Anybody with suggestions. I ride about 3-4 times a month and in rocky rutted terrain to xl and trails. Thanks
  11. He didn't ask for paperwork. They impounded it period. I had paperwork brought to try and get it resolved on scene. The vin tag won't give me problems as the rivets they use are special star rivets like on your car vin that you will only get from inspection station or a dirty cop. Even if I did need to show paperwork,I would have it so I don't care at all. After me telling the story of what happened and how it turned out for the better, don't cry when you run your bike with the vin not visible or ground numbers. If u get pulled, you will lose your shit. They don't give a fuck if you say its yours if you can't prove it. So let your pride get your shit taken from you, then act like you know the laws and watch them load it on a tow truck while they laugh at you. You won't win.
  12. Agreed deadbeat. It would have gotten nasty had the cop said you aren't going to get it back after the investigation but I'm definitely not.going to do jail time over a quad. The nicer you are to law enforcement even though u want to beat the fuck out of them is the best way. Unfortunately they have the power and you dont. I understand the reasoning behind why it happened and learned a lesson that i actually wasn't aware of. The reason i was really pissed was that i gave them.the title and there were 5 digits that were visible from the time i got stopped. Granted they weren't all in order but you could clearly see where they would have fell on the title and the numbers matched the title. That's why iwas flipped. It would be a very fucking odd coincidence of another banshee with the same numbers matching title in same spot in the same county, or state for that matter.
  13. Prayers must have worked. They called me and told me to come get it. She's back in the garage. Waiting for my vin tag to come before I take it.out again. I have no idea how they got a good number, you can't see anything. Maybe me calling every hour did it. Who knows all I know is I am happy.
  14. Vin will not be visible long and can wear down depending on what chemical they use. Plus I'm going to have to paint it there so it's just easier to recognize next time.
  15. No its not back yet. I talked to the investigator today and asked if he got the number out. He said it's coming and he's using acid (well no shit). He said he was waiting on information from yamaha and it wasn't being easy whatever the fuck that means. He talked about I will need to get a salvage receipt 106 and pay $53 for the vin tag to be made and he will rivet it on the frame. I said oh so we're cool then , he's like no n I'm still working on it. Told me not to get the receipt yet. So idk what the hell he is doing. Prob riding the fucker and he already had the numbers. I know it doesn't take 2 days to get a vin out of the frame, I've seen it take like seconds. I'll keep you posted, hope.i hear tomorrow. I have no idea what he would be contacting yamaha for. Maybe to see if he can match it to engine? Idk if cases are original though I personally have never changed them so I would hope.
  16. Sleeper the trooper investigating told me to keep his number if i had any questions. Seemed much nicer than the twat that took it.
  17. Investigator just called. Claims he has been working on it for 7 hours today. Which is funny because i called at 1130 and he wasn't there yet, sooooo. Anyway, he said there are various techniques to try and talked about the acid, but didn't tell me exactly what he did today. He said the numbers are starting to clear and some are legible but he needs more. He claims he is trying another technique tomorrow that speeds it up ( from what I read it is sulfuric acid soaked cotton ball with the pos and negative of a battery charger attached both to the cotton ball). He claims he is confident he will get the numbers to show and when he does the officer that took it will get ahold of me to make arrangements to pick it up. So it's sounding better but not out of the woods yet. Definately a precaution to people wanting to powder their frames. Also in ohio the engine vin wasn't with the title. Shitty
  18. The engine number is not on the title. Is there a way to verify the motor number with the vin? Obviously it is not going to put the numbers on the frame, but would definately help the not just a coincidence side of things if I can look up the motor number and it says what the vin should be.
  19. Supposedly the investigator is supposed to be there today, which the day is winding down. I hope to hear something. I have probably 250 pictures of this thing in all the building I've done to it, all receipts and it definatelyis not stolen. I know the title matches the fframe I checked it when I bought it years ago. Yes guys, please cover your vin when powdercoating and clear over it. You could lose everything u had and loved. I don't know what I'll do if the system takes what is rightfully mine. Have a few lawyers on stand by to call if the news is not in my favor from the investigator. For fuck sake then I come.to work to try and forget and my bike is my screensaver. This shit is killing me. I'll keep you all informed. Wish me luck.
