  1. I cut out the top and pop riveted screen over it. So the frame of the cover is still n and the filter is butt up against the front of the box. I just remembered that the carb I have where jetted for toomeys when I got them,. I wonder if it had already come with 27.5 piots in em. Is there a way to tell?
  2. old setup was stock pipes. 25/200. 2 turns out. temps are 80`s alt is 0-150. I was going to go with a 27.5 but it doesnt seem to need more fuel. The olny reason I messed with it was because the power sucked on the bottom end with the new pipes. With more fuel it sputters. There is brown in the smoke when all Ive ever had was white from oil. Seems like it may be spittig out oil and fuel. My new setup is no tors .030 over hot rods weisecos alum impeller noss head with 21cc domes v force 3`s lid off and T5`s. And soon +4 timing. Before I messed with it there was almost no smoke at all and no sputtering or overheating and good plugs. Just seems weird to me.
  3. I put t5`s back on my bike. Imoved my mains up to 300 and left everthing else alone and ran it. The bottom end sucked ass, but seemed to run great. I ran it for about 3 hours then decided to bump up the fuel on the bottom end and I screwed in my air screw a1/2 turn and dropped my neddle clip down one to 4th slot. My pilots are still 25. I was going to go with 27.5 till I ran it today. It was all sputtery and smokin normal but with some brown in it. I think its too rich now. Is it possible that the setup I had to begin with was correct and the bottom end just sucks that much? It ran great before,. just the power blew on the bottom. Im going to port later on so I stayed with the 5`s. Is there a way to get some good bottom back other than advance? I ride all terrains so.... even in trails I ride with the fury of 3/4-wot. and stuff.....
  4. I just stuck with the 5`s because I wanna port later. The bottom end on my bike F`n SUCKS ASS now though. mid and high are great tough. They sound so bad too.
  5. yea I agree there. but they should still make it,. just call it something else. Because its not at all a banshee. frame motor plastic everything is different.
  6. before i took mine apart it ran great,. and when I took em apart to rejet I noticed that a washer was missing out of one carb. Still runs great. I just took it out of the other one so they`d be even. I think its just so that the plastic guard on there doesnt crack screwing in the mains.
  7. the yfz 350 was in a street bike aka rz350. also, they should make that bike now otherwise now that the idea is all out there, someone might take that idea and use it.

    I need some 27.5 pilots. I have some toomey 270 280 mains with needles and mikuni 280 320 350 mains Ill trade. Also the 25`s I have.
  9. banshees where popular back in the 80`s and 90`s but now there has been so many articles on em and everyone is into the 450 scene n crap. all they have are kids bikes 450 wars and some utility n rhino/mule whatever. It would be cool if they did more features on one owners bike like they do in motorcycle mags n hot rod n stuff.

  11. ok,. so anyone got a psi/cc range? like a chart or something? my motors only got like 5 hours on it so it should have a good 125-130 psi.
  12. whats a good cc dome for a noss head on 93 octane or lower(93 the highest I wanna go) .030 over stock,. t5`s, low alt, 80-90`s temps? I plan on a +4 timing advance in a few weeks too.
  13. maybe you pilots are good at the bottom and it seems to run fine,. get it warmed up and top it out where your all mains. I bumped mine up from 200 to 300 before it ran good. these pipes dont use much more fuel on the bottom end but once you hit about 5000rpm n up the power starts to really spike and you`ll need much more fuel up there.
  14. the pink power bands are pretty good,. but if you get the green ones you dont need a key. :thumbsup:
  15. I spliced mine on the key switch side so it bypasses the key,. but i can still take apart the harness coupler to make it not start if need be. so its like having a key but not. Makes the handlebars look cleaner.

  18. did you rejet the carbs for the toomey`s? and yea get a noss head, pro. products and noss domes are interchangable. domes+ports=? domes have nothing to do with porting. they just make your psi/cr higher for more bang but you gotta find out how small you wanna go with how high of an octane.

  21. do one carb at a time so you have a reference on how to put it back together slide in right way. check the float heights too after you clean and put them back in 21mm. and use new bowl gaskets. spray em out in every possible hole n direction with carb cleaner then blow em out really well with air. Then when you put them back on the bike make sure the slides open in sync.

  24. yea, I mostly stick to dry or damp areas,. but I live in S florida right outside of the everglades,. Im going to find water,. for sure in the summer time. I hit a big waterhole last weekend where the water was over my knees but it was fast and I got a bunch of crap on my prefilter,. but my foam was still clean. I found a 1/4 a muck in the bottom of my airbox. I checked the duct and it was clean. I just want something that I can slip on real quick when I go woods riding. I like to spend most of my time racing through feilds n trails and on the MX track,. but when Im in the trails,. sometimes I like to nail those holes,. mostly to not get stuck. some are hard on the bottom, and some have muck that you will loose a shoe in and if you creep through it,. your really going to get mud in your boots pushin it out.
  25. I was on my first shee just before I turned 15 and I rode better then probly than I do now. They should have taken that away so that I would have done something better with my time like do lots of drugs and drop out of school to have bastard children instead of doing something worse like having good clean fun while riding,. if I cant ride I can always go vandalize something or steal a car. WTF. If they have someone to watch them who cares. My daughter is 8 and shes learning to ride my old ass lt230, just not without me.
