  1. yep, been running stock with oiled uni outer no lid,. but I just bought a k&n filter.
  2. Id make an electromagnetic hanger fisher with some solid 18 gauge copper and a few d batteries just becuase it would look cool. Magnetic drain plugs should be in any motor anyways.
  3. yea I know,. its weird you can see light through it both ways so it has to be able to breath,. I just need to see if its enough not to choke it. I have no idea how it works, but it does.
  4. I tried it last weekend,. as mentioned above,. the steering stem is like an inch off the centerline in the back. I put 2 computer fans in with an inverter and stuck on a dang ole thermometer on the radiator and made 3 hard as hell wot passes in sugar sand once it cooled back down to 95 after doing it with no fan and it didnt make any difference in temp. The only feasible way I see to do it is build a shroud with an offset duct and a small blower motor suckin air and Im not turning my bike into a frikin escalade. So Im going the billet impeller/noss head/engine ice route. If it still gets hot Ill get an aluminum radiator,. and it it over heats after that,. its too lean doin 50 donuts wot in 1st gear.
  5. Im always getting water n alot of soup-ie mud in my air box when I hit the trails,,..... I have to hit the mudholes. anyhow,. anyone know how to retard this? I was just thinking of this black cloth 3M makes for french drains that only flows water through it in one direction. I mean hold it flat one way water goes right through,. flip it over not a drop. Im going to try to find some on a construction site this weekend and see how well it flows air with it tight over the top and a vacuum in the intake. If Im not trail/woods riding,. I could always just take it off if it has a small bit of restriction. Or maybe a louvered cover? Input?

  10. yea the fuel/oil ratio will effect jetting a little. gas is very very thin and will move roll leak a ALOT faster than oil,. so if you have More oil in your gas the slower it will jet or vacuum up a small little dinky hole in your main. If your dialed in,. ratio change may throw it off a bit. going from 25:1 to 32-40:1 will make it run richer.
  11. first when you put weight or push down the bike,. the chain gets tighter. It was probly to tight in the first place and thats why the roller broke. I leave 3/8" of play in mine while sitting on it. second if your axle nuts come lose all the time take them off clean the threads and put some red thread locker on them then tighten them back down. I did that on my chain sprockets and axle nuts and they have lever come loose since.
  12. that sounds like the 340 is to rich,. but for the bottom,. sounds like its lean. if you choke it and it seems to want to run with no throttle,... that means it needs more fuel to run. clean out your carbs n see if something is clogged. and yes, get rid of your tors,. they are a for shit.
  13. I just went and got mine from a hardware store. they had a million widths lengths, and strenghts and for a 1/4 the price of specialty shops. did for my rear brake spring too.

  16. yep I run the 927 @ 24:1. I wanna keep the bottom end lubed well. I dont care about a little extra smoke. Only the guy on the 4 choke behind me has to worry about it. I use 93 octane with it as well. When I get my noss head,. I might lean it a little to about 28-32:1 with the higher CR though.
  17. Ive done alot of fender copies on cars and even a trunk floor and a hood using plaster lined with suran wrap on small parts, wax on larger parts. just drop it and the plaster breaks right off.

I was almost in a police pepper spraying a bunch of kids outside the masquerade. they showed up in wagons with sheilds because some kid rubbed his bare ass on a passing cop car and when they tried to arrest him a punk concert had just let out and everyone flipped out on the cops. was amusing. and I like the old guy who walks up and down the street with the big cross over his shoulders. he told me I watch to much MTV. whatever that means. I hate mtv. The clubs there can get pretty wild. south beach will be F killer during spring break as will Lauderdale. But good luck getting around, finding parking, and a place to stay.
  19. Im not sure yet, probly a used motorcycle fan or off another atv. As long as the amperage is equal or slightly less than what the lights draw. Fabricating a shroud will be pretty easy. Thinkin about molding one into a fiberglass shroud. That way I can bolt it up under the same bolts the radiator itself uses, Get a tight fit,. be light, n be trick.
  20. I want to make a relay from the headlight switched wires in parallel to run a cooling fan when the lights are off,. but automaticly switch off when the lights come on. When I get in the trails and ride hard with low speed my bike starts to get pretty hot. In the straighs and cruising its fine, its not an issue, but Id like to keep a fan on it. The average temp hee is in the 80`s too sometimes 90`s in the summer. Or maybe just run it off a small stator charged battery? What do you all think?
  21. I wish MSD would have made an electrical system for the banshee with cdi stator coil and mechanical advance timing plate. So you could dial in an exact timing curve and get way more power in all the band and a much stronger spark. That would be killer.
  22. whats in miami? bad traffic n clubs. whats in ft. myers? edison home and nothing. Tampa is pretty cool. it might be in the 70`s during the day. I like the clearwater tampa st pete area. If your from the north the weather here will be great.

  24. yep,. do a comp test. at low rpms the cylinders have more time to leak over higher rpms.
