Id rather take a small block 400 bore and stroke it to 454 with hp aluminum heads, barry grant carb on top of an 8-71 and weld a sprocket to a super short 12bolt with 50 paddle tires. then put the clutch oh the flywheel and put the motor in sideways. I had that happen on a bike I was parting out. It had a +4 swinger on it and the bolt would not come out for anything. Ended up having to cut it up to sell the frame. Tried sledge hammers, torch, penatration oils, and all. Wasted a nice swinger. :shrug: this was with the spring off too.

make sure there is a circlip and washer holding it on,.. (the idler gear) It may be tilting out when the kicker gear comes out.

Does the kicker move at all? or is it jammed?

Im interested in putting some RZ cylinders on my bottom end. I want to keep the banshee tran, but have powervalves. Does someone make a harness or adaptor for the pv control? Or just get an RZ harness? And would I be able to still use a noss head or equivelent? Looked like the water jackets where a little different. Do they still use reeds? I need more power. I might get a 421 Cheetah PV kit. :biggrin:

They have a few dents in them that can most likely be corrected with some skills. I de beaded one again and smashed the shit out of it and decided its time for beadlocks. I ride way to hard for std rims. Its the one I took off in the pictures. I pounded it back, but dont have a compressor to re seat it. Im just going to get some t9 b-locks in black with tires from rocky mountain alrwady mounted. These rims arent perfect, but look decent cleaned up and do the job if you dont turn in hardpacked dirt and roots pinned in 4-5th gear. Im going to list these on feBay in a week if they dont sell, which I dont want to do. Id like to get $150 for em shipped. oh and Merry Christmas

Yea man, look at the listing. Ive always wanted a banshee with a cam. I could always buy it, and then file a claim that it doesnt have these on it when I get it. Dont know bout many, first time Ive seen or heard of it, But I got a HR +4 crank and the weld broke and came loose in my motor. MIght wanna check the welding on newer ones. It was just a small spot weld on mine. Now its a bead 1/2 way around.

Ive been rather disappointed in them all. Since I moved out here where its all 4 wheelin Ive had my ported/stroker under me and nobody will pull up to me. I show up and do a lap and everyone leaves. There was a pair of people draggin in front of me when I came out of the woods and I passed them up from about 50` from behind them, and the little group of them all left before I could as whos next. A crowd of like 6-7 on 450 and raps where in a line racing through the woods and I came up beside em and they all pulled off to the side.

Thats basically what I was after. I figured they were`nt that good, but wast sure with so many people using that conversion. Im going to order some Elkas then right after new years . Thanks.

fill the tires with gas and fill the tank with helium.

I use the twist. I havent cut my springs either. Just got used to it. Make sure you dont have any short radius bends in the cable, and maybe grease the cable. I like all the spring just incase it desides to stick open with to little preasure.
