stock pilot jets with a 290-300 main middle clip on needle should be a real close ball park, but they are all a little different. Do a search for "plug chops" to dial it in after that. might need to go up or down one main or clip from there,. but that will be very close. After you get your main and clip position in,. then you can mess with the air screw which will prob end up about 1.5 to 2 turns out each carb. I have some 300 mains if you need.

My buddy down the street always goes to these races and has been tellin me I need to go,. so I got a tether and numbers and what have ya and Im hitting the track Sunday morning by 8am to race against a bazillion 450`s. Wish me luck,... this is going to be rough! Will post vids of aftermath.

Id get a 450 on top of the banshee. Nobody is going to tell me what I can and cant do with the money I worked my ass off for. If you cant get a reasonable sale privatly,... part it out.

Is there other things to do other than play with banshees? Gym rat, the quads, pool, darts, drag racing (cars), bowling, fishing, hunting, rugby, and of course, the obvious, females and junk food!

I have a pair of vf2`s. They are out of a good running motor, but one or 2 pedals have a small gap under em and need flipped or replaced. You cant really tell unless you hold em up to light and look through em. $80 shipped. I can take pics if interested.

I dont like shorting people on money, but Tony sells those buy it now on eGay for $100 and starting bid at $20 no reserve, and most of the time they dont sell for over $50 because people are looking for big names. They are good. Im going back with em on my next build because they worked better than the dual stage boyeseens and vf2`s imo.

Godamn those yamaha engineers with their stock headers and crappy powerbands clogging it up! :mad: And the stock clutches! Only 96 mph with those pos things slipping! You would think after 20 years they would fix this problem and put the good bands on the cam!

Im getting some stuff together for another motor to build. My current buckets are .1 over and maxed out,... but ported. Would I be better off getting some used cyls and having them ported, or sleeving the ones I have?,,.... maybe even to 68mm or so. Id like the keep it at a small bore,. I dont think the head domes fit after 68mm? Or 68.5 or somethnig like that....

I have a set of vf2 reeds, and I took em out becuase the ported caged tdrs and 2 stage carbon pro boyeseen ran much better. Im actually about to sell my vf2`s. I can get a whole set for less than 1 side of replacements let alone the whole cage and reed block new.

Im using slightly modified 28mm flatslides now and it runs like a beast. I dont know much about the 2 into 1`s and thought Id ask, a guy here locally had one with a 39 on it for $150. I might just go with a 35, or a pair of 30`s then. Slightly larger carbs flow more air, but flow velocity and atomization are better with a little smaller IMO. I read alot on the 35`s for the 2 into one, but didnt see anything on slightly larger displacements.

Would a 39mm carb on a 4mm stroked/stock cyl mx ported motor be sufficient? All the bolt ons done. Or to much for a stock stroke with everything else?

yea, stock ported motor doin 10.9 with 200lbs is fast. I just jumped the gun because of the record thing. I know there are banshee chassis bikes out there running much faster is all. Is that cub a stock stroke?

prob clutch side oil seal. Your crank case prob slowly leaked in some oil slowing your crank and slowly spun out, but vacuum and leaking will still pull it in and out your exaust causing the extra oil being burned (extra white smoke) if its your clutch side (rear brake lever side)exaust, thats most likely it.

Im not dissing you or your machine in any way. But where do you draw the line on whats a banshee? I had seen mention of you adding nitrous in the future. Look at your pictures. That like saying John Forces mustang is a mustang. You have some remains of a banshee frame and maybe cases. Your bike is bad. But as far as limits are concerned going that far you might as well call a triple in a banshee a banshee too, its in the frame. A ford T bucket is holding a chevy small block, the title still says Ford. Do you get what Im sayin. When I comsider a world fastest banshee, Id think of stock cyls, swinger with a wheelie bar and stock frame maybe lightened. When I seen this post I knew it was stretched out and everything changed and or modified. If you cant take that thing threw some trails or over some jumps, Im not going to consider it much of a banshee anymore, at which point, anything goes. I had a 70 chevelle super stock that did the same 1/4 as your bike. Thats not that fast for a drag car, but it had a plate on it, stock axle factory motor/trans and 93 only w/o any sort of boost. It had insurance. I could still drive it as a car. Lots of modifications where made, but - the roll bars in the window, ET Slicks and skinnies, it apeared stock from outside.

Im not sayin 10 isnt quick. Im sayin its not that fast to be a record. 9.2 is closer to sounding like a record 1/4 time. And like I said, it depends on what its packin. Stock cyls or something over 600cc`s, ect....
