  1. Check out http://www.motoquadchassiscomponents.com/index.html They make some killer looking stuff and Kieth the owner is really cool to deal with.
  2. I think the new sand dunes in Syracuse, KS are the closest to Hays. They just opened this year and are about a 3 hour drive SW of you. http://www.syracusesandpark.com/news.htm
  3. Give Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing a call... He can give you whatever porting your looking for from mild to wild and a great guy to talk to! His prices and turnaround time along with his knowledge on jetting with the new setup are unbeatable!!!
  4. Have some stuff for sale that is taking up room in my closet-sized garage so they need to go. All parts are in great shape and ready to go. Plastic is in like new shape... Graydon Proline Nerf Bars $75 Stock heel guards off a 2006 $30 Fender Supports $10 Maier blue plastic gas tank & radiator cover $50 Also have (make me an offer): -stock water pump cover, impeller, new water pump seal, impeller gear -stock head -stock reeds -stock clutch with inner & outer hub -stock timing plate -stock swingarm with carrier and swingarm guard
  5. Not to sure what class the rappy would be in, next time I talk to him I'll ask him. Since you already have the suspension on the raptor dialed for your size, I would go with that. I have seen some wicked banshees race, but they require quite a bit of money to set up and you have to fight the powerband constantly. Another guy I know raced banshees and switched to the yfz450 and couldn't believe the difference. Parts of the track that he would struggle on became a thing of the past with the YFZ450. PM dmcbanshee and see what he thinks...
  6. I used to own a pretty much stock Raptor that I used for the track that I loved. I am a bigger guy so I could control it a bit easier, but I have a friend that is over 55 on a 660 that races it and does really well. He did have a different suspension up front (yfz450 shocks, ASR +2, +1 front end) that did fairly well. The yfz450 is definetly the way to go, but get a different front end setup and maybe a lowering kit on the raptor, and it would do fine! I am not dogging the banshee for this, but for me I thought the raptor did a little better.
  7. Kevin's work kicks ass!!! His jetting was spot on for me also...guy knows what's going on!! Looks like a good time...
  8. Speaking of RMATV...does anybody have a coupon code for them??? As soon as they get some paddles in stock, I am going to be putting in a big order...again!!!
  9. All I can say is
  10. In my opinion this is one of the greatest tools I have used on my banshee. I borrowed one from a friend, now I want to buy one myself. You can tune the carbs really nat's ass close with this thing!
  11. I put a non-oring chain on my sportbike once and had to adjust it about once a week with normal riding...Since then, I have put x-ring chains on all my bikes (dirt or street) and don't have near the problems. I think I have adjusted my supermotard bike once in 2 years, and that was because of a tire change! Rocky mountain sells 120 link x-ring chains by primary drive for around $58 and I really like them!
  12. I wanted to give another bump to the top for Rippen, but also say that I tried this movie on a different TV, and found that the quality was a lot better. The more "pixely" screen came from my widescreen TV because it has to stretch the image to fit the 16:9 aspect ratio. I think on most widescreen TV's you can unstretch them, but I am unsure how on mine. I'll say it again...this video rocks!
  13. The lonestar ones I have seen on ebay go for a little more than the modquad one, and almost look identical. Are they better?
  14. I'm about ready to get rid of the stock dual nut setup on my axle and was wondering what people have experienced as being a better design? I am leaning toward the modquad double locking nut: but was wondering if there was others I should consider like maybe the Dura Blue Posi-Lock Axle Nut: Let me know what you have and how well it works!
  15. Like theshee said this DVD KICKS ASS!!! I have watched it so many times I might have to ask Rippen for another copy :woot: It makes me want to ride every time I push play and it is definetly worth the $10-$15 price range!! I have a couple of Rippen's videos saved onto my computer at work, but it's nothing like seeing them on a big TV with the stereo cranked up listening to the banshee's scream!! One thing that I do want to say about the video is that the camera does these hills no justice as these climbs are NASTY! Seeing them in person makes me have huge respect for these guys and this video! Definetly pick one up to add to the quad collection!!!
  16. Traded some stuff with him and he got it right out...no doubt in my mind that I would deal with xXBlessedWithDeathXx again!!!
  17. Post any and all feedback here if you have dealt with me.
  18. I have some 20x11x10 Sand Star paddles (on my bike in my sig) on douglas black labels if you are interested. Some of the paddles have cuts or chuncks missing, but they do great. Let me know if your interested.
  19. Are you kidding?!? :shoothead: Look under the vid section...Rippen has some of the sickest videos on here!!!! kawiking - In my limited hillshooting with the banshee I am super happy with my 4mil setup w/ 14/44 grears and would highly recommend a longer swingarm!!!!
  20. I have a blue set with about the same hours I would trade you straight across if your interested (RED, WHITE & BLUE!!!)...if not how much you want for them? Blue Maier
  21. Yes the guys there did require my piston to bore the cyl. so they must know what they are doing. Granted it was for a polaris, but they are a yamaha dealer also. While your ordering from Jeff...get some wisco pistons from him as he has great prices. Then take the pistons to Vickery. I think the motorcycle shop in Boulder on 55th & Valmont can do boring/honeing also but I have never used them. If you need any help at all or want to ride sometime let me know...
  22. Where are you at? Vickery motorsports here in Aurora has done some boring for me and I was happy with them. Also check with majicmike, he is in brighton and could help you out. If you want porting ect I would send them out to Kevin @ herrjugsracing.com (San Diego) or Jeff @ farmandsandtoys.com (Kansas) or the list goes on...
  23. Jay, How about you send me the "couple" in your avatar? :yelrotflmao:  Hope the springs work out for you, and thanks for the kind words!! -Brian
  24. It looks a little overwhelming in the clymers, but it really is pretty easy to split the cases. I would start with taking the top end apart...may be lucky and just have something in the top end damaged. I found that Jared's post of Splitting the Cases helped me out a lot!!!
  25. +1 on Kevin at herrjugsracing.com  Great customer service and knowlegde on porting!! I love mine!!!
