  1. :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: This is an '81 Honda! How dare you!
  2. I bought a pair of LED License plate bolts from the local auto parts store...I think they cost like $6 and are pre-wired with a resistor. I mounted them to the "L" brackets that used to hold a number plate on and wired it to the stock harness. It's pretty cool cause it is clean looking and looks like glowing eyes from the back.
  3. Here are some pics of the "melting" of the treads on the Knarlys that I just got. This is only about 20 minutes of riding on my banshee on a sandy/packed sand track... (This was not even on the track, just on the hills and play areas around the track! )
  4. What size tires are you running? This is what the lady at Kendy told me after I emailed them about the extreme wear: "The K535 Knarly ST 18x10.5-8 is designed as a soft terrain tire. So, by design it will not hold up as well under hard packed conditions as a tire designed for harder terrain. You may want to try the K577 Klaw SX which is designed for hard terrain or the K533 Klaw designed for intermediate terrain. These tires should hold up better for you." The grip these tires give is unreal, but the wear on mine is very poor. I'll post some pics when I get home of the treads falling apart after one ride.
  5. I thought so at first, but then I looked at the tread between my holeshots, and these are super soft and squish easily in my fingers where as the holeshots do not budge. They do give a ton of grip, but I will be replacing them by the end of the summer. According to Kenda, the 20" size doesn't have the sticky compond and hold up very well in any terrain...Now I just wish I could find some 18" that are of a hard compound!
  6. Have you had a chance to try out those tires? I got the same rear tires in the 18" size and they are falling apart after 2 rides. I took them off the banshee and put them on my raptor and the treads are just melting away. I am riding on a sand/packed sand track. I talked to Kenda and they said the 18" are for muddy tracks only, even though RMATV advertied them for the Knarliest terrain. RMATV gave me a $25 gift card for my trouble (those guys are awesome!) but Kenda hasn't gotten back to me about a different replacement pair. Let me know how they are for you!
  7. As far as Colorado goes...this is a real easy state to license vehicles. My neighbor just recently licenced his old XR200 and showed me the requirements. All you have to do is have a horn (even a squeeze bulb horn!), brake light/tail light combo, headlight and street legal tires. They didn't even want to see the bike when he registered it! I did ask someone in the DMV a while back about quads (half joking) and she said they would license it if met the above requirements and said that finding street legal tires for quads was the thing that stopped most people. It definetly would be cool riding a banshee on the streets legaly, but I know you would get harrased everywhere you went...I get cops making special efforts to see my license plates on my factory street legal supermoto bike all the time!
  8. I just got a aluminum one (modquad) from Jeff and I like it. Like bonbon said...I don't think that it has enough room for the chain to bunch up in there. They are also a lot cheaper than the T.M. Designworks!
  9. I am in the same boat as FireHead...Definetly would take a beanie and t shirt!
  10. Whatever you do, don't buy it if it is a Polaris trailblazer! They have got to be the biggest pile of crap ever! I bought one for my wife a couple years back and in the 9 months I owned it, I replaced the starter twice, the rings exploded on me thus I had to do the top end and it is a pain to work on. It was also a dog in sand even after clutch work and a pipe.
  11. Happy bithday Jeff!! By the way...thanks for the parts...that head is SICK!!!
  12. Do you have any pictures that you could post or email? My brother may be interested. Thanks!
  13. Count me in! This is going to be a great summer!!!!
  14. One up for ya bro...Happy Birthday and have a good one!
  15. When in June are you going? My wife and I were planning a trip to yellowstone and a side trip to the dunes near the middle of June. Anyone from Colorado/Wyoming going then?
  16. That is the problem...I have called them once a month and Larry keeps saying that they are getting to it. I called about 3 weeks ago and he said that they are working on it now and it should go out real soon. I don't think that it is worth having a tire fixed through them if it is normal to take this long! ::
  17. I bought a pair of Skat Trak haulers from a member on here and sent one of the tires to Skat Trak to get repaired. It only needed one paddle to be replaced, and it has been there since Nov. 14. Has anyone else had to wait this long for a repair from them? I called before I shipped it and they told me it would take 2 weeks?!? It has now been 3 months!?! :verymad:
  18. I am going to pass as I can get some new douglas rims for a little more. Thanks for the offer!!
  19. I am just looking for some front 10" rims in good shape. I don't care about the tires as they will be replaced by some mohawks. What do you want for them?
  20. I am interested in the above front rims, but I am in CO. Do you have any pics of them, or could you take some pics when you "warm up"? The only thing I can trade you that I have extra are some headlights, and fender supports. What do you want for them if you were willing to ship?
  21. Yeah after you do that, can I cram these POS rims he sold me where the sun don't shine?!? This guy is a complete F*&king duche bag and sold me complete junk. Once I called him on the rims not being what he said they were and that they were completely worthless, he stopped emailing me. :wallbash: :shoothead: I wish that people like this can be kicked off this site!! Oh well, I know now never to send a check to anybody for anything...At least paypal has some protection! Good luck trying to get your parts!!!
  22. Thanks guys, I'll see what chase has!
  23. Hey Guys, I am trying to find some graphics for my 'shee and wanted to match my Raptor's stock 3 block graphics. Does anybody know of a year that the stock graphics looked similiar? I don't want to get crazy with the graphics, just something simple and maybe match the grey and blue color scheme I have going. Anybody have suggestions or know somebody that can make some quality custom graphics? Raptor: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/hyp...pg?t=1167775503 Banshee: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/hyp...pg?t=1167775545
  24. I just want to let everyone know that is thinking about buying from this guy...dont!!! I bought the "10in chrome black label rear wheels, used on old sand tire set up......65.00" and they came completely beat to shit, and doubt they hold air! To top it off they aren't douglas rims and they aren't even as thick as .125 blue label rims. He hasn't emailed me back after PMing him 3 times!!! What a complete douchbag!!!! I'll be starting a new thread about this guy!!!
  25. Thanks for the replys...I'll hold onto them i case my fender start to droop a little. I took them off because they were vibrating pretty bad and making a lot of noise.
