Don't know the brand lever...looks like it used to be anodized black, and has since rubbed to a silvery-black. The clutch perch is a EMGO(?) with a moose EZ turn cable tensioner.

Banshee HQ Flag...A New Thread.
hyperlite33 replied to jayzx10r's topic in General Banshee Discussion
What if instead of getting flags made, we do something different like shock covers, handlebar covers or the always reliable shirts and hats? -
I have some heal guard plastic with no damage, have about 4 rides on them and came off a '06 if your interested.

I have some parts laying around after the build, seeing if anybody would be interested in them. Make me an offer on any of the parts as I have a small garage and need the space. The Pipes I am asking $200 shipped and are a great pipe for trail or track riding as they come on the pipe early and stay through mid. Maier blue plastic radiator & tank cover in great condition: FMF Gold Series Gnarly Pipes w/ Powercore 2 silencers, Billet clamps and all hardware: Black/ Blue Yamaha seat cover: Stock Uncut head with nuts: Stock waterpump cover, bolts, impeller, gear and new waterpump cover seal: Stock Reeds: Clutch Lever and Perch: One 19cc dome: Headlights with newer plug. One light only works on high beam, and the chrome is coming off the inside...so basically 1 good light: Whatever I don't sell will probably see its way to Ebay tomorrow or the next day, so make me an offer!

Thanks for the comp. As for knobbies in sand, it is a night and day difference with paddles on. If your going to ride sand a lot, it is definetly worth it! Check out RMATV Knarly if your on a budget for knobbies as they are cheap. I used to have the 18" knarlys and they had unreal traction but wore quick because of the MX compound. The 20" and 22" are a hard compound...I would trade my holeshots in a second for them!
-
I would personally get the Kenda Gnarley in the 20" size even though I have had great luck with my 20" ITP Holeshot tires. For Duning tire (all around play tire) I would suggest the ITP sand stars. They hook up well and a great non-dragging tire.

That is what I needed to know! Do you suppose it hurts the sprocket, chain or both? I did notice that after that happened a couple of times, I needed to adjust my chain AGAIN. :verymad:

I have a pair of 20x11x10 Sand Stars on Black label wheels I could sell you. They do have some chunks on the paddles missing and some cracks on the v's but run really well. Let me know if your interested and I can take some pics of the paddles...only selling them because I need a taller tire!

I remember hearing something about chain noise coming from deep sand. That happened to me this weekend and it scared the crap out of me. It would only do it when I would drop into deep ruts into the sand and sounds like the chain is skipping teeth. Is this just caused by sand packing into the chain when dragged though sand or does it actually skip teeth due to the sand?

I have a yamaha black and blue seat cover that I just took off I could sell you if you get a seat or have a seat. Let me know if your interested.

If Dave I. can't find those springs Jay, I can ship you 3 stock ones for shipping only. Probably would be able to throw them in a padded envelope and a 3-4 stamps. Let me know!

Banshee HQ Flag...A New Thread.
hyperlite33 replied to jayzx10r's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I would be up for a HQ flag, but screen-printed and not embroidered. I would be willing to check some local outfits to screen print logos on blank orange flags if need be! Does anybody know what the rules are in the big areas? (Glamis, Sand Mtn, St. Anthony ect.) -
Banshee HQ Flag...A New Thread.

I just want to put my 2 cents in as far as the manufacture... She makes some nice looking stuff and a very nice person to deal with, but her flags are embroidered and are double sided which makes them extremely heavy. Just going up a small hill on my Raptor (slow)...the flag was just about dragging on the ground. If we had them screen printed by someone else or if she can do that, I think a lot more people would like them! -
It always amazes me how you can take half an engine apart in a couple hours and a couple hours later be rippen up turf...gotta love 2 strokes! What are you having done and who you taking it to?
-
MMMMMMMMM...sounds good!! That is a sweet Shifter right there!! I wish those Chick gallery's had some banshees with them...oh wait they do! Didn't see that at first!!

If it is just the wrist pin bearing, you shouldn't need a new connecting rod just a new wrist pin unless it damaged the rod in the process of coming apart. But, coming from experience, if it is the bottom end you need to get that thing apart and see. You can probably see the crank rod bearing with the top end off. It also could be your crank coming apart...

I did mine with a carbide cutter on a dremel and made sure I took off about the same amount on each ear. I didn't touch the nuetral detent, and I don't have a problem finding nuetral. Just check out some pics of them modified and copy them. If you do end up screwing it up...you can always buy a new, modified one!

I don't know if your interested, but I have a set of FMF Gnarley pipes that "get into the pipe" pretty quick that I will be selling. They are considered a low to mid range pipe. Might help in off the line racing!!

Thanks guys for all your input on these!!! If another deal falls through I'll pick one of these up! BTW... I have a 4mil stock cyl and would like foremost to dune and play around, but would also like to do a little dragging/hill climbing, and a little "play" time at the local track. I know a +4 will be short for dragging/hill climbing and will also long for the track...but will it be a happy medium?
