  1. Im a huge GNR fan and let me tell you this GNR is dead, when axle started wearing basketball jerseys and braiding his hair and not showing up for shows. Slash which was like the backbone of that band is gone. Im from detroit and I was super pumped when I heard they were playing, but if Slash isnt there, im not there. That CD by they way was supposed to be out in october last I heard. I also heard that it was comming out about a year ago so im going with no its not going to see the light of day. There probably haveing problems trying to find a label to back the CD.
  2. When I push down on the front and let the shocks come back up they dont go all the way back up. I can pull the font up about another inch. Is this normal, is there something that isnt adjusted right? The shocks are works dual rates and there on +2+1 A arms. I traded them used for my old shocks and a arms. Thanks, I know nothing about shocks what so ever.
  3. Bansheepro, I dont know you and I already dont like you. You sit there and all I hear is shit comming from your mouth. No one cares what you drive, how much you make, how much your seat cost that you sit your dirty ass on. People with real money don't talk about it and brag about it on a forum. I see either 2 situations at hand, you either took over your daddys business and was left with a gold spoon in your mouth or you have a 150,000 dollar company and your more concerned with flashing your money around to make you feel like a sweet person. Go sand your hardwood floors and get the fuck out of here.
  4. What tire do you guys run for the ice. I just studded my stock tires but was wondering if theres anything that would work anybetter?
  5. Off topic, Where you ice race at? Lake st clair im assuming but do you go out by algonac off of m-23 at that DNR boat launch? If so ill see you out there this year.
  6. If it moves side to side its your locknuts probably. If it moves up and down its your bearings. Easy to replace. Buy a rear axle bearing kit. Hammer out the old onces. Pack the new ones with good greese and put em in the carrier, pack the seals with grease, put them on. put the axle on. Go ride.
  7. Clamp ons. Got em and love em. I dont clean em every ride either, I clean em about every 5 rides. Never had a problem with them clogging. Even rode in some nasty ass mud once and didnt have problems with them either. The only problem I had with them is once fell off once and I never found it. Just buy 2 sets just in case. You will end up using the spare set in the long run and then just keep the old set in your tool box in case you loose one. It has only happened once and it was probably because I forgot to tighten it down and got antsy to ride instead of double checking little things like that.
  8. Wow this thread should be forever remembered. First time reader and im frickin impressed. Boost bottles are a great selling point for your shee though. If you tell a 16 yr old kid it has a boost bottle bam its sold like that. He comes back with a 100 dollar tip and says "Dude this thing really has a BOOST bottle, that thing is like NOS right!?" I say, "Yes son, yes it is."
  9. Plain and simple if you want to go fast you have to wrench. If you take a stock banshee and a stock say honda 400ex and compare them its like comparing a porche to a ford escort. The banshee is an amazing machine, mine is pretty much stock as compared to most peoples bikes on here and to be honest with you it scares me sometimes. A 4 stroke is reliable as all hell but a banshee with pipes and some other little stuff is maybe a little less reliable but not enough to not get a banshee. If you were to blow your top end which is probably the most common MAJOR break down of the shee it would take you about 5 hrs with no expirence to tear it down and rebuild it. And cost about 300 bucks which is new pistons, rings, gaskets and takeing your cylindars to a machine shop to have bored and honed and having the head cleaned up. Also 2 strokes are easy as hell to work on. If I were you id go with a banshee.
  10. So I noticed today my bike doesnt have any chain slides or rollers or basically anything like that. I was wondering if someone could post a pic of where exactly they go. I have the one that is on the end of the swingarm, but the ones up by the engine and the front of the swingarm are gone. I pretty much just forgot about them when I put the bike back together and arent sure where they go other then the one that goes around the front of the swingarm. Thanks.
  11. I run B8ES.... Whatever you do, dont run bosh platinum 4's, they are soo hot it caused my bike to run so ridiculously lean. Plus they cost 5 bucks a pop.
  12. Ok so ive lost 30 lbs since I rode the shee last. i weigh about 180 now so i still have plenty of weight to push the tires into the ground, but I cant stop the wheels from spinning on dirt. I mean yeah I can give it less gas but then i dont go as fast. I was wondering what would be the best way to get some power to the ground. I have maxxis razor tires size 20x10x9 and stock gearing. Stock rear suspension too. Pulling a wheelie on dirt is impossible unless i stand on the rear grab bar. Thanks. O and yes my tires do have a decent amount of tread left on them.
  13. tighten it down with a real socket and driver, you can make a flywheel holder with 2 bolts and a peice of box tubing. just drill out 2 holes and put the bolts through it and put the bolts in the holes in the flywheel to hold it. MAKE SURE the bolts dont hit your stator and end up ripping off the coating on the stator. I had the same problem, hit it with an impact and it came off, sheared the key right off. Tightened it with a socket and driver and no more problems. Also on my impact theres an adjuster to adjust how much torque it puts on the nut, could also try adjusting that.
  14. I agree with doing it right the first time, but 60 bucks for the shee to ride right for the winter is alot easier for now. Im not going to be jumping at all really in the winter just ice racing. The axle will have to wait.
  15. Well with my stock rims on in front then the rear and the front line up almost perfect. With both pairs of douglas rims on the front is much wider then the rear. I wanted to make sure before I ordered the wheel spacers so that when they got here they were right and not what I wanted. Thanks.
  16. I have a pair of +2+1 a-arms and I was wondering if it was +2 inches on each side for a total of 4 inches wider or +2inches total for a total of 2 inches wider. The reason I ask is Im buying rear wheel spacers so that the front isnt wider then the rear and I can run my new front rims and tires(rear rims are offset). If the a-arms widen the bike 4 inches total then I should buy +4 wider rear or +2 wider rear spacers? Thanks.
  17. How much should I have the head milled? Id like to run pump gas if possible. If not the local gas station sells 110 octane. Also you think I could just take the head to a tool and die shop and have it milled or is there more to it then just cutting it down? Or any suggestions as too who to send it to and around how much it will cost. Thanks.
  18. Lookin for some more low end power. Dont have alot of money to get it. Whats a good reasonable mod I could get to gain this power. Milled head? Paul turner pipes? new powerband with the stripes?
  19. Ive been to the mounds once. Drove all the way there to have the DNR not let me ride because my silencers werent spark arrestors. I fixed that problem though. Im probably going to be up there this Sunday actually. I havent got a chance to take my banshee for a real ride since the rebuild so Mt Morris is lookin like the only place to go. Ill let you know for sure if im going to be there when the weekend gets closer.
  20. Was wondering if there are any good places to ride in southeastern michigan or kinda around that region. The only place I really know of is Mt. Morris and silver lake of course. Also what have the conditions been like. Call me a pussy but I dont like alot of mud, no airbox, too much cleaning after. I dont like any dirt on my shee its too sexy to through around in the mud. Thanks.
  21. 55 horse for a stock banshee with just pipes is pretty damn high, but im not a dyno. I would think around 30ish. I know toomey has pipes with a hush thing to bring down the db's. If I were you i wouldnt worry about horsepower. A stock banshee is pretty damn fast. Pipes would really put some life to your banshee though.
  22. Pretty positive its suppose to be strait. You could just heat it up and try bending it up and put a strait edge on it to check and see if its pretty strait. Unless of course your picky about handling.
  23. Good deal, Thanks. I was thinkin the same thing but figured id ask the pros.
  24. Yea you have to replace the whole thing, Ricky stator has em. Also vitosperformance has the ricky stator one as well but you have to buy the caps with it. Thers other high performance ones too like nology. Ricky stator stuff is really good though.
  25. Well first thing is to just remove any coverings on the wireing harness. Go to tech documants at bansheehq home page. Go to the electrical one. At the very bottom I believe there is a schematic to basically do what you want. Its all color coded and really nice and easy to follow. For the TORS you will have to get an idle kit, I believe toomey.com has em. The banshees have quite a bit of saftey bullshit on it in my opinion.
