Come on guys, no offers?

A guy I know got his boat back 10 years after it was stolen. He was in a gas station filling up his car and a guy pulled up with it on a trailer and the guy was like man i swear thats my boat. Boaters are like Banshee riders, they put everything into there boats and know there boat from another boat that looks like theres. He called the cops and sure enough it was his. Its crazy how things work out in the long run.

Here are the pictures. Also I dug up the rear plastics that I never use, they are pretty nasty and beat up. So the bike needs rear plastics if you want it to look amazing. Im willing to subtract the cost of rear plastics. I also have a video of it running, but i used my digital camera to record it and it sounds really weird. Sounds like a chip munk almost. I can send you it though. Id also like to add that this 4 wheeler sat under construction for the past 4-5 years while i was doing as i had the extra cash. Here are the links to the other pics http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture009.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture008.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture007.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture006.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture005.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture004.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture003.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture002.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o232/ku.../Picture001.jpg

Selling my banshee, check out this email i recieved
kubiac3 replied to kubiac3's topic in General Banshee Discussion
haha, i like the lesbian and beastiality newsletter stuff. Yeah i was pretty confident it was BS, especially since he couldnt spell the word "check", its not a very tough word to figure out how to spell. -
Check for spark for sure, pull the plugs, leave the wires connects and kick it and look for spark. Do it in a garage so you can see. If you dont see anything you could try turning off the lights, but you should be able to see it in a garage. Should be a pretty thick blue spark. If no spark, then its electrical. Probably a melted wire. Or of course the TORS.

Still for sale. Will have pics tomorrow afternoon.

Its someone you know for sure. Somone would only go through all that covert stuff for a bike thats worth alot of bucks. Most people who steal quads get the ones that are chained up in the front yard with a dinky lock posted for sale. You must of either A) pissed your nieghbors off with it and they hired someone to get rid of it or have a bad friend or friend of a friend. I will keep a look out around here and im sorry to hear that. Might want to try calling salvage yards for your frame or engine. There is one in Emmet(sp?), MI. There is a local gun range that people ride at I drive by everyday so if its there I will see it. Also I will check out the woods at this dead end street I live by. I went back there in my high school days to do illiegal activities and found 4 quads sitting there, covered in branches and shit. Called the police when we were done and they were for sure stolen.

More pressure coming out of one pipe
kubiac3 replied to tmac20031's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Here is an old school trick. Take a piece of wood and stick it on the cylindar that is good and put the wood to your ear and listen to how it sounds. Then do the same on the bad cylindar and see how it sounds. If it sounds like rattleing or anything abnormal that you think you shouldnt hear I would stop running it and tear that engine apart before more damage is caused. -
Theres a paint company out that sells paints that match exactly to your bike. There called PJ paints or something, your dealership should carry them. They are spray cans.

Yea when your bike is warmed up the pistons expand. More accurate reading that way. Also rebuilding a top end is easy as pie. With all the parts in hand it should only take about an hr to put it all together. 2-4 hours if you never done it before and take your sweet time to make sure everything is perfect. -
Ran the gas out of the carbs and a week later!
kubiac3 replied to Turbobanshee_kid's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
From the video it kind of sounds like an air leak to me. Did it run like that before your tore the carbs apart? -
no sure were this realy would go but...

Theres 2 recent topics posted, ones about mix oil and the other is about gear oil. I personally like belray gear saver 80wt. and amsoil dominater at 50:1 for mix oil. -
Im going to go with no.

Disregard my last of wanting pics of the new maier plastics, I found some, they make the banshee look like a joke(raptor). I didnt know that at first.
-
http://www.maier-mfg.com/ Thats the website, they have new banshee plastics that are completely redesigned. I was wondering if anyone has any pics of these on there bike or anyone elses bike. Also lakker plastics... any good? Are they fiberglass and if so do they sell front and rear fiberglass. Im lookin to get some new plastics soon and are narrowing down my choices. Its between, fullbore, good ol stocks, laker, the new maiers, or using my old plastics as a mold to make fiberglass ones. Thanks guys.

All oils burn, some burn cleaner then others though.
-
I personally run amsoil dominator at 50:1. I use to run castor 927 but after tearing my engine apart recently I switched to amsoil since it seems the castor oil doesnt burn clean at all. All oils have a btu rating on them which is how well it burns. I know amsoil has a +1 btu rating so it burns pretty good, im sure other oils out there have the same rating so check that out as well on whatever you decide to run.

Im going to say that its either A) the choke tube isnt on or the slides are in backwards. I have done them both before and they are common mess ups, I would start there. Especially since it ran before you tore the carbs apart. The cut away on the slides should face the air filter. -
Hey guys, I want to change my colors this spring after the winter is over with. I have blue plastics right now with silver frame, silver upper a-arm and blue lower a-arm. I just painted my cylindars cobalt blue, painted the head silver, some accents on the sidecases cobalt blue and the cases silver. I dont want to repaint anything on the engine so this is what I am thinking. Since the blue I used is more of a bright blue im thinking of going with black plastics for sure and painting my lower a-arm the same blue I used on the engine. Now what do you guys think I should paint the frame and other parts like the swingarm and such. I want to keep the colors limited to blue, silver, and black or polished of course. I also dont have the money to get it powder coated so that is out of the question. Im going to be doing all the work myself so detailed things are deffinitly an option since it wont cost anything extra for myself to do it. I was thinking of what brand plastics to buy, I love fullbore rear plastics but im not into the front plastics. Do you guys think it would look weird with fullbore rear plastics and stock front plastics? Also are the front fullbore plastics one piece? I was thinking of using my stock plastics as a mold to make fiberglass plastics for it too, but idk how they will hold up as far as paint holding up on it since they will be really rigid. Sorry for the book but I cant figure out what I should do so thats where you guys come in. Thanks.
