  1. one of the guys from my car club has a slightly modified buggy. http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f3..._movie_011.flv
  2. it was leaking but I chipped off the old JB Weld and cleaned around the damaged area then re JB Welded it. so no leak for the last 2 days it has been fully assembled.
  3. As long as you follow the directions you will have no problems. I prefer to run water wetter and water in hot weather.
  4. can anyone tell me where the case breaks when you break a chain? I am curious to see if the moron that owned the bike before me broke the chain or had a clutch failure. is it something like this?
  5. how about some Bronze bushings http://www.dirt-deals.com/cgi-bin/dirtdeal...tml?id=ssceyKHv
  6. 3 to 4 degrees of timing for standard trail riding.
  7. Great info. I think I have decided to get a set of 450 arms for my bike. Thanks
  8. IMO you need to clean out the carbs. and a jet kit would help your bike out also. http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/...=197&page=1 when you port the cylinders and add an exhaust system the engine will demand more fuel. if you don't give the engine more fuel you will lean burn the engine and possibly causing engine failure.
  9. with the exhaust and port job you definitely need to increase your jets. you can pick up the kit at your local MX performance shop for about $70. it should come with new main and pilot jets and needles. If you are running an air box I would not run a lid. the holes will help increase the air flow to the filter.
  10. E-Bay has a purge block... not sure if this helps you? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BANSHEE-DRA...sspagenameZWDVW
  11. IMO the water pump impeller is a good idea. They have a different flow design which allows more coolant to flow in turns keeping your machine cooler. and it is cheap insurance for plastic parts dont last forever. I'll keep looking for a purge system for you.
  12. ^^^^^^ I'm with him. I wouldnt go over 4 degrees unless you just want to drag race. and also use some good race fuel. Good to see that you found the problem. Now get the new parts and RIDE that SOB.
  13. I agree with the two other posts. Just take your time and leave the hammers in the tool box.
  14. Do Banks actually have that much money inside them? The project sounds great! Can't wait to see pictures.
  15. You look a little on the rich side but if it's running great I wouldn't change a thing. I always take a spare set of plugs with me where ever I go.
  16. It is normal to an extent. For me I figure it is cheaper to buy new plugs than pistons so I tend to run a little on the rich side. Plus it keeps the temps down a few degrees. How big of a jump did you make on the jetting when you put the pipes on?
  17. The one thing I love using is PB Blaster. I have also heard of people heating the stud and melting candle wax on the stud down by the threads. somehow this allows the bolt or stud become free. Or heat then WD-40 the stud and allow the lube to work down the threads. Good Luck!
  18. if you have the resources you can use an air hammer that would speed things up. Just dont break the ear off the case. Good luck
  19. I am also interested in the front A-arms. (If in good condition) Please let me know. Thanks
  20. when you refill the trans you are actually just filling the side cover. you need to buzz that thing around for a few min and let the fluid find a new home inside the case and not just in the side cover. with 1 and 1/2 quarts you have plenty.
  21. if this happened after a hill climb you might want to take your fuel shut off out of the tank and clean the filters. and I would also check your carbs for anything that might have been lodged in a jet(pilot and mains) If it was running good than all you did was pick up something in the fuel system. Good luck
  22. I ran without a recovery bottle for a while. It is ok if you dont ride hard. I was hill climbing and overheated it. Thats when I decided to run a bottle. That extra bit of coolant is good to have. Thats my opinion!
  23. I don't understand? Once coolant touches water you can not separate them. I think you meant to say coolant and oil... I would first check your coolant level. if you haven't had to add any and the radiator or the overflow bottle are full than it can be from running through water or sitting in a high humid place. If that is so just change the oil a few times and you should be good. also check the water pump vent. if that tube is broke than it can dump coolant into the trans case.
  24. I agree take it to someone else that knows banshee engines a little better. I took my jugs to Vito's and said true it up and he did so with out any other add ons. Also Vito's is 3 miles from my house. And they have all the parts right there on the shelf to match to your engine.
