  1. well, i just traded in an 04 with 39k on it for 35k. fully loaded, 5 tvs, wheels/tire, small lift, perfect paint, etc. sounds like a good deal?!
  2. Well, I took it up and down the street at few times and rechecked it.... low. SO, I added more until it was perfect on the dipstick (when screwed in) and it took a little over 1.5 quarts. Not sure about you guys, but if I just set the dipstick on the case, it doesn't even register. I am guessing it would take about 2qts to fill it up to register on the dipstick while not screwed in... Anyway, thanks all!
  3. Thanks to the both of you. I will let it sit overnight, and start / warm up the bike in the am and recheck.
  4. No. I checked it cold (it registered middle of hash), drained it, filled it and now it registers like stated above. So tomorrow I should start the bike for a bit and let it heat up and recheck? Thanks guys, you rock! BTW - I love this thing.
  5. So I should ignore the dipstick (it is reading halfway up the stick)??? Thank you!
  6. Hi all, I am very happy to say that I recently became a banshee owner with my 91. I went for a weekend ride after getting it, and now doing some work in preparation for next weekend. Anyway, I wanted to change the oil. So, I checked the fluid (right in the middle of the hash mark at bottom of dipstick). Drained the old fluid, replaced the crush washer with a new one, and started to fill it with fresh fluid. At 1.5qts, the fluid level is halfway up the dipstick!??! Is that normal? Not sure what to do, but I let ALL the old oil drain for like 10min (on a level surface). Please HELP?! Thank you! -B0
