  1. No offense dude but you can get it shipped to your door from amsoil cheaper than that.
  2. Welcome man. Im in the same boat as you. I have an 04 banshee and an 08 R1. I had an 02 R6, took it to the track (grattan) and thought it was waaaay underpowered. I went out and bout an 08 R1 for 10,600 OTD and never looked back. This bike is absolutely unbelieveable. 35mpg 180hp 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. Amazing, those japanese know there shit. Hard to believe all these harley guys think they are the shit.... Do you take your R1 to the track?
  3. Yea, people dont like to read before they respond. Make sure your choke tube is connected as well - me being an asshole. As mentioned above switch your coils from left to right and see if the misfire changes. Might wanna throw some new plugs in too. Compression check wouldnt hurt either.
  4. email me a shipped price for the tank to 48183. Pics too please. [email protected]
  5. CLR works wonders.
  6. As mentioned earlier shit is gunna get technical. Assuming you had two 26mm stock carbs and one 52mm carb the 52mm carb IS going to flow more air because there is less friction loss inside the carb. But of course, how can you argue that two 52mm carbs wont be better? You cant. Then there is always the arguement of its easier to maintain and tune. Which is usually true. Less parts also means less change for failure.
  7. That makes ALOT more sense than your original post. Because the quad is supposed to idle when you arnt touching it. Anyways... Prolly an air leak or your idle RPM is set just a hair too high. When you open it WOT and let the throttle go does it hang at a higher rpm for a sec then go back to normal? If so its prolly that the RPMS are set too high.
  8. Yes it is normal. Dont worry about it.
  9. They fucked it up make them get you new carbs and a new tors eliminator kit. Go in very politely and tell them what you found and that you didnt do it. Tell them that you would like them to replace the carbs. If they wont then tell them you will tell everyone not to go there. Also that you will call yamaha and complain. Also submit several internet reviews about your incounter. Try to do it with a service department full of customers. Be loud and annoying enough to where they hear you but not so bad that they call the cops. Threatening to get a lawyer works too. ..... ask me how I know....
  10. Heres a helpful link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4azg3hIl9oI...re=channel_page

  13. Cut up a credit/atm/bank card and use it as a reed. Itll work as good as new.
  14. What year are the carbs off of? Pipes have any dents?
  15. Np man, Just make sure you use a motor oil/Gear oil/Tranny fluid that either 1."Contains no friction modifiers" or 2. "Wet Clutch compatible or safe"
  16. Adjust your clutch and put new fluid in. Should fix the probs.
  17. Try letting the clutch out.
  18. I can do a good 5-6 hours of hard trail riding with a few short breaks here and there. Im stock power wise though.
