Ive heard shortys get hard to pull after a hard day of riding. Do you guys notice a difference?

Make sure your air screw isnt too lean. 1.5-2 turns out should be good. Mine came loose and it started backfiring.

use the clutch... Its prolly ur gas though.

If you want the REALLY cheap way to get some lowend spend 10 bucks on a new front sprocket and go down a tooth. Thats what i did and i love it.

I have a 2002 YFZR6 for sale. It has a 13000 miles on it (tac reads 16000 due to sprocket). Bike has been kept in a garage and been droped once on each side at a stand still (only small scratches). I have kept excellent care of this bike and I bought it from one of my friends (he was the original owner). Here are the mods. Im hoping to get 5k for it. Dammit, not what i wanted to hear. Are you sure its the shift fork? How hard is it to replace one? and how much do they run?

Its a semi-violent, jolt. I dont think its slipping out of gear, unless it can slip out and go right back. I wont take corners fast because of it. The more i think about it the more it seems like a tranny prob. Theres no way a clutch could make the bike jolt hard right? It would just make it seem like it loses power? Anything i can do to see if its the clutch or tranny without ripping the thing apart? Ive never gotten into the motor or trans of a bike or quad before. Thanks for the sites, i know enforcer has an r6 clutch in his bike but i didnt know that they fit stock. Thanks for the info.

Im thinking I need a new clutch in my R6. If anyone has a page to a good reliable sportbike site that would be appreciated but ill post my prob here too and see if anyone has an answer. I bought the bike in august of last year it seems like its been "skipping" in 1st and 2nd gear at full throttle at about 7-8000rpms. It is carburated but the owner (one of my friends) had it professionally jetted with an O2 sensor so i definitley dont think its the jetting. The clutch is about 3 years old and I think he beat the hell out of it (went through 1 clutch in under 2 years). Is there any chance it is something other than the clutch? Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. He did install the clutch himself and im thinking he might have done something wrong.

Make sure your clutch cable (were it comes out of the perch) is adjusted correctly. If that doesnt work take a look at this article, even if it isnt the prob you will probably learn something. Link

Some aftermarket reeds fit stock cages and do not require the stops, boysen and v-force both make them that way.

TORS stands for throttle override system, This system can cause starting problems as well as sometimes cause you to lose power and alot of your RPM range. I didnt need to buy the kit, i just cut all the wires and took the computer out and it runs great now. Had to change my idle too.
