  1. You don't want the radiator to get clogged up with that shit ?? Get in front ! Stay in front ! Simple.
  2. Yeah this has been covered before. But, I think it's cool that you figured it out yourself.
  3. Yeah, what he said. ^^^^ Also, never had to heat the cylinder either.
  4. If you get them with the stock dogbone mount the shocks will still work. I think the rear brake line has enough length for a +2 as well. But don't quote me on that cuz I'm not positive.
  5. Whatcha gonna get ?
  6. IMO, if you are gonna buy new swingarms might as well go longer than stock. I promise you'll be building those motors up and you'll want a plus length swinger eventually to help keep the front end down. This is a damn sickness !! LOL I shoulda started with a 500cc 10mm Cheetah Cub. Then I wouldn't have spent so much going in baby steps !
  7. Sounds like you need a new choke assembly. Get one from Yamaha, theyre pretty cheap. click here then select year Then banshee Then carburetor It's item #25. If you add it to cart and go to checkout you can get the Yamaha part number.
  8. The hole is started, but not all the way thru.
  9. double nut them. they should back out fairly easily.
  10. Maybe the problem is your eyes are "glazed". You been smokin that shit again ? :yelrotflmao:
  11. Did you retorque your head after running a few heat cycles ? Those head nuts will come loose after the first couple heat cycles and you may blow the gasket again. Also you need to recheck the head and make sure it isn't warped again.
  12. They are pretty reliable if built right. You will need to do some porting to convert to a 4mil. You will also need to get a set of domes for a 4mil and a coolhead if you don't already have one. The build should be no problem. Banshee engines are easy. Get a Clymers manual it will be a big help for the build and other things as you go.
  13. To do it right you will need to drill and tap the carb body for idle screws. It really isn't that hard to do. If you don't you will be adjusting the idle with the cables. That will cause the idle to rise whenever you turn the handlebars to one side. It can be done that way but it is not the right way and you won't be happy with it. I tried it when I had stock carbs on mine ! There should be instructions on the procedure in the kit. If that isn't enough info do a search on the forum board. There have been tons of threads on the subject. You will also have to cut a couple wires to the old tors system. Also not a big deal as that has been covered as well. Don't be afraid of it. We will help you out if you get in a jam ! You will be happy with it when you are done. Search Repairs and Mods board for "tors removal"
  14. Gotta give that one a Hell Yeah !! And that shouldn't be too restrictive either.
  15. I have 35mm carbs. The springs might as well be on the suspension holding the damn bike up. After trimming the springs and not getting much better I changed to a twist throttle. It's alot better now. I never had that much trouble with the stock carbs though. But the tors were removed. I agree ^^^. Get rid of those tors. Get a tors removal kit with a new cable.
  16. Just look for one you like that has alot of flow. If you don't see one, dont change it.
  17. Who's bashing "him" ? I didn't see anyone bashing the builder. Jeff was saying that you should give the builder the opportunity to help you get it tuned. After all it is his name on the work. Grim meant that "you" should have let Jeff at FAST do the work. After he did the work he would bend over backwards to help you get it tuned. If your builder will not help you get it tuned then he is only hurting himself. Service after the sale is very important to most of us.
  18. If you are serious about drag racing don't buy T5's for either one of those. I would go with Shearer inframes and 35/39mm carbs on bike one. And same pipes with 35mm carbs on bike two. I have not run 300ft drags so I can't help you with gearing. Maybe someone who really runs 300ft will chime in here. If not take it to the track and run it. See where you are in the powerband when you go thru the traps. You'll know from there what to do.
  19. Call Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing. He is in San Diego.
  20. What carbs are you running ?
  21. Dude, You need to put up a pic and price if you want anyone to take this seriously.
  22. I am not a big fan of front bumpers. If I had to get one though it would be this one. quicksand bumper click on the pic of the red bike
  23. Nice banshee. It's alot of fun starting with a completely stock bike and modding it out. I'm jealous. Wish I had 2 ! Your mod list ($$ouch$$) sounds pretty cool too.
  24. It's an aggressive dune port on a 4mil. Runs really hard. Has a +4 swinger but needs a +6 now. Still a little rich, so theres still more in it !!
  25. Sorry, thats "possesses" !
