  1. click here Note: You cannot flip the carb all the way over to adjust PWK carbs ! I did not see the 33mm carb on that chart, but I would guess it is 16mm from the info shown.
  2. I dont think you'll hear a ping from detonation over the noise of the pipes. About the only singn of detonation (prior to blowing a hole in the piston) is the plugs backing out. Keep a close eye on how the plugs burn. Do a plug chop to be sure
  3. doubt it is compression either if the pistons/cylinders looked good. Sounds like fuel prob. Pull one of the fuel lines off the carb and open the petcock and see if the fuel flows. If it doesn't check for inline filter clogged or petcock filters clogged. If it does ........... You said it is stock. Probably the fuel lines are original too. It is possible for some of the rubber to erode out of the inside of the fuel line and clog up the needle and seat as well. Especially with all that oxygenated fuel you get at the pump.
  4. Those Lonestars are also caster and camber adjustable and the tie rods have ends on them.
  5. My brother has an 07 raptor. It is one badass machine. And its a dream to dune. Just a few mods and 82 rwhp on the dyno. (stock stroke and bore too) His bikes have always been slower than mine, but now his raptor keeps right up with my 4mil. In fact, now that he got the suspension set up right he gets better holeshots on me and I cant run him down. Guess I'm gonna have to go to a +6 swinger so I can get a better holeshot ! lol
  6. get the 35mm carbs if you can get a really good deal. PWK might be a slightly better carb, but not 2mm volume better. Dont worry bout your bottom end. You will be going with a 4mil or larger anyway. And prolly a cheetah cub or something. LOL We may laugh, but know it's true !
  7. Yeah, my bad. they do go up to .080. I was trying to get a set that was 66.25mm once and they only go up to 66mm (.080 over).
  8. Yeah, Owasso. Check out his website. Good builder. Great customer service !
  9. As stated before, call Jeff at FAST. If it is a 4mil you need to know if it has been ported for the 4mil and uses recessed domes or if the builder used a base spacer. If they used recessed domes you will need to replace those domes with the correct ones to lower the compression. Better to just run race gas IMO. Also you may be screwed if it is a 4mil with +5mil rods. I believe the 795 series prolites only run up to .060 over. Then you are talking about using Blaster pistons which are a little shorter from the wrist pin to the crown.... needs an entirely different dome cut for correct piston/dome clearance.
  10. If you cant find one at a dealer or from Jeff, Look for a company like Copperstate Nut and Bolt or Fastenal. They usually have shoulder bolts and such. Just get a grade 8 shoulder bolt.
  11. left handed drill bit ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ or drill it out small and use an easy out. I bet it wont be that hard to remove if you dont jack up the threads at the top of the hole by tryin to pick at it.
  12. Welcome. Always nice to get a new member. Makes us all feel a little better about our addiction.
  13. LOL In my younger days I think they got a whole shee !!!
  14. yes Exact same cylinders/porting ? Were those cylinders ported for 4mil stroke ? Unless you have big gaps between reeds and cage or chipped/broken reeds they are probably good.
  15. Fuck em if they won't take paypal !!
  16. Ok, you said break up tho. If it is bogging then it is too rich. I cant believe it is that rich with that setup and sea level ???? Is the needle on the 4th clip position from the blunt end or the point end ?
  17. BTW, you do not have to remove the clutch for either of those two mods.
  18. Factory calls for .028-.031. With higher compression you need to run a little bit closer. I have seen people run as low as .015. I run .020 on my 4mil with 170psi compression. Have you done a leakdown test ? Check for air leaks. Sounds like you may be a little leaning out on top. Breaks up and noses over on power. You are at about sea level. Alot of air and it is getting cooler. Try jetting up your mains a couple sizes. (360-370) Do a plug chop and see what the plugs look like.
  19. On a CV carb you won't flood the cylinders by opening the throttle with the gas on. The motor has to be spinning to create airflow thru the carb to pull the fuel out of the carb.
  20. Thats a pretty big plug gap. A little more info please. What jets do you have in now ? What is your temp and elevation ? Was the bike running fine with this setup or did you change some things and are now getting this problem ?
  21. I had the same problem before. It was the stator. Not spinning fast enough to deliver enough power for strong spark when kicking but fast enough when pull starting. Check all the stuff the others have suggested first. If all that is good I'd be looking at the stator.
  22. Just buy those pipes off NYUK ! You will rarely find a better deal than that and rarely find a better guy to deal with. You are gonna want to go faster at some point anyway. That is a promise !!! Never met anyone that owns a banshee that doesn't eventually mod up ALOT.
  23. yeah ^^^^^ Check to see if your crankcase oil level is getting low.
  24. Clymers is a repair manual. It will tell you how to fix things (step by step) like the water pump. Also has pretty good pics to show you what they are talking about. It is a really good help. That single carb may not be enough volume depending on your porting. Check with the guy doing the port work. He should be able to tell you how much carb you need to compliment his work.
