Some people claim the plastic is better because if you loose a chain the metal can bust the cases still. I have never seen it happen though. If you are interested I got a used metal one for sale from my motor I am parting. 25 bucks shipped.

Chrome Shifter and Duneable SOLD!!!

Straight cut does nothing for your shifting. It takes the side load off your crank bearing. The difference between a duneable and non is the duneable can take backloading it. Meaning you can let off the gas and let the clutch slow it down. It isn't something you want to do evertime you want to slow down, but it will holdup alot better than the non dunables. Also the non duneables you need to be pretty much stopped to down shift, the duneable you do not. You can pull the clutch and down shift just like normal. I would look into the 1-5 neut down. Your really never going to need 6th gear in drag racing unless you plan on doing LOOONG runs.

Yea I thought it would be bigger than a M10 too. I will take it to Lowes tomorrow and use thier little handy dandy thread pitch thing they have in the hardware section. I got to order two taps from mcmaster so I want to make sure they are the right ones.

I need to get a tap to cleanup the threads in one of my peg bolt holes. Anyone know what the right tap size and pitch is for it?

Do you know if it is a 520 chain? If you have the old chain just measure it. It will have stretched a little probably but no biggy, you can cut a few links out if need be.

Ok so I decided to part out my motor. All prices are PLUS shipping! If you want to use paypal you pay the 3% for fees, no if ands or buts. If not I will accept money orders or personal checks but parts will not ship until money clears. That goes for paypal as well. So if you use the bank account option, it can take up to a week for it to clear so keep that in mind. Please remember all parts are slightly used. They may have small scratches, or slight surface rust. As everyone that knows me can attest, I am super anal about maintaining my gear, but the bike has been sitting for over a year while I was deployed so the humidity has caused some spots on a few metal parts. Nothing that can’t be cleaned off. I just don’t want to hear anyone crying that it wasn’t fresh from a chrome. I am sure that there are things I forgot to list.
