  1. I didn't even think about that. You could have used some paper clips and bridged as many metal spots as you could then flipped it on and fryed it that way. No getting past a burned computer.
  2. looks like a pretty small track. What is the length? What size motors you guys run? My brother used to race 600cc Midgets several years ago.
  3. Most common hu? I would think the PWK was much more common. Maybe back in the 80's the PJ was more common. And used on record bikes? You sure that they arn't using either Lectrons or huge PWK's? PJ's suck because they do not respond to changes as well as PWK's. I had a set of PJ's and had to turn the screws to where they would damn near fall out just to run them. Useing exact same jetting on PWK's and it idled and ran like a champ.
  4. It's kind of funny cause people spend a ton of money every year so they don't loose a computer and they end up doing just that. Then he is trying to tras his and can't do it for the life of him!
  5. agree
  6. If for what ever crayz reason you decide to not go with Stellar, don't bother spending the coin on LSR, get the wickeds. They are very nice arms and cost much less. I and several others have had a set of them and they are great.
  7. Yamalube need to be richer then the Benol/Synth blends, but it is muh cheaper so iy's a wash. Your buddy might be assuming that you shouldn't switch from a syth oil back to a conventional like in a car???
  8. You buddy is full of crap. You can change oils. One thing to think about is going to a cheaper oil than either of those. I didn't start running Supertech until I switched to alky. Before that I ran just good old Yamalube. Cheap and ez to find. Does great job. I run everything 36:1 gas and alky. Only changed to supertech becasue the Yamalube doesn't mix with alky.
  9. Although I missed you before you headed to the desert, in the furture don't waste your mney buying plugs at moto world, FBC, or any of those places. Go to PEP Boys or any place like that and buy the plugs. You can get them for like 2 bucks each rather then 7 or 8 like the shops charge for the same plug.
  10. Both kits are good. Alloyz had some issues a few years ago when it first got bought out, but it sounds like they worked them out. When most of us got the fastenerguy kits, it was around that time. And he was offering a better deal. Both kits will require you to use Anitseize. You can't go wrong with either of them.
  11. myslf and several others have went with th fastenerguy kits. They are pretty nice. Mine have a little rust inside a few of the allens heads but other then that they are good. Also I have had him send me a few diferant bolts over the last year or so from the threads getting jacked up from installing and removing them. He sent them to me free of charge and even paid shipping.
  12. You going to drop $$$ and get the ARP studs? I just installed a new steering brace on my 06 today. And I FINALLY found that ever illusive recessed zerk fitting in the front drive shaft. Poor girl was damn near empty!
  13. I know mine doesn't. Learned that from experiance.
  14. Disable ALL fans. Then go and download the higest resultion game you can find that will run on your system and turn all the setting sup as far as it will go. Cover the box with a trash bag so no heat escapes and let it fry it's self. It doesn;t matter how good of a tech the kid is... he can't re-install a fryed computer.
  15. Sorry it took awhile to get picts. Weather has been crap.
  16. Bump $500 shipped with money order. Paypal add 3% for fees.
  17. Well then your TORS was not removed all the way. I am fairly sure I under stand what the TORS is and does, but what do I know...
  18. So the e-brake kept your bike from revving and not the Throttle Over Ride System? Man you must have your self one speical Banshee there. Like said all years of the cdi are interchangable. Nothing in the Banshee ignition has changed since 1987. Only change was the brake light switch thing, which does NOT control the rev of the motor, the TORS does. There are three differant plug designs, but all years cdi internals funtion the same way, there for they are interchangable.
  19. Agree
  20. Heard of TORS? Remove it and problem solved. All years ARE interchangeable. The only differance is the years that didnt have the parking brake. But the parking brake isn't what keeps it from reving, it's the TORS.
  21. Your prep work is what will give you the best ending results. Wet sand any rough areas so they are nice and smooth. Then get your self a few different rogue compounds and a good buffing wheel. Use a wire brush to clean the wheel off as you go. Dremel for the tight areas. And TONS of patients!
  22. Yea it's rough times all around. I am in no rush to sell it, and not in a tight spot. Just figurd I don't have time or desire right now to mess with it so I might as well give it a shot. If all else fails I will let it sit in my shed until I have the time to play with it more. Thats why I am not parting it out until the big stuff is gone so I don't have a halfass bike laying around the house.
  23. Those are not military masks, at least any more. We use the M40 mask now.
