  1. Don't remember what the problems were, but EVERYBODY says stay oem...on all electronics. If you have to have more Watts, then you don't have much of a choice, other than battery but...
  2. Its the other 1/2 of a. c. Circuit. Before it completed by connecting to the frame. Now it's completed @ battery (-) via reg/rec and other1/2 is now completed @ bat (+) via reg/rec Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  3. Not my idea of better big ones...but if it does it for you...
  4. I think whats confusing "i think" where he said keep factory ground on frame its just the wire on the screw on the stator that comes out ( black i think) and has nothing to do with lighting. the ground ( 2nd 1/2 of a.c. for lights) for lighting is the new one you extended , from the wire that was soldered to stator base He could have left that off of drawing & it would Have made more sense. ( that ground is there but has nothing to do with your floating mod) Also this all might be overkill, since youve got a factory stator & not a 200w like him, relay that is
  5. What year is your stator...I'm not sure of colors (yb depending on year)but iirc you only " had" one coming out of stator, the other one "was" connected to stator base , until you removed it & floated out to the reg/rec the others don't have any thing to do with lights
  6. Correct "Yellow (s)" is/ are ac then converted to dc & comes out the red
  7. And thats not a factory stator i dont think, & has 3 wires(-) ...you know your stator has 2 separate windings correct. your only using/ modifying the lighting 1/2
  8. Yeah i did'nt re read it so...he also has dc to switch an ac in& out on relay... not to familiar on that either
  9. According to claudes pic yes (technically) Red wire
  10. 85 is powered by the light switch then goes to 85 to close the relay( lets the system know lights are on so start outputing) and no either wire from lighting circuit stator can go either way
  11. Just found this but looks like you already did...i didn't re-read it but you can
  12. ^ & not to confuse you more, but your light circuit stator output will still be a.c. till it comes out of rectifier/ regulator fyi Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  13. No (and im no expert) the ideal per most is not to use chassis ground at all. Which keeps it a stand alone circuit. The rest of the elec. ie coil, cdi...are ac and use chassis for ground ( as did lighting, before floating it). I assume for simplicity & not to conflict with a.c. & warranty... most say to stand alone Everything will have to run back to batt. (+ & -) Some used the relay for 2 things: Not to run power wires everywhere ( up to switch & back) and iirc some used 1 to basically turn off lighting circuit when not in use. Theres a write up on here somewhere. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  14. That's a separate circuit now and a has to dump extra voltage to ground and your frame is not ground for that circuit And if you're not using your lights it's constantly dumping extra voltage to ground ( creating heat). Where if you have a relay inline to take the stator off line when not needed Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  15. Mainly so you use switch wires as a signal, low draw, to tell relay to send main power from battery/ stator to lights. To save your switch. Any relay that will cover your light draw will work. iirc some use another relay to kill the stator, light circuit, all together, if youre not using it.
  16. Leave him alone, he doesn't even like to spell E D
  17. Rear vent plugged? Cover vent not ran high enough? Rear vent & cover vent T together, not coolant Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  18. illbeedurn...you do got cluezz Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  19. Should be good then, but i'd send pic's to u.s. to get there opinion. If for nothing else, piece of mind Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  20. Use tapatalk for pic's, what did u.s. say! did you lube piston, i can't imagine the piston would scar proper nilasil that easily, especially by hand
  21. ^ ^ ^ Wins Handedly Against Tyler Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  22. ^ ^ ^ doesn't over think ^ ^ ^
  23. Are the 20x10x10 working good now? Rollout is just the circumference of the tire. just wrap a tape measure around it Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  24. ^ youre basically grounding the r/b wire on the cdi
