I'm just going to replace that dome. The things runs like a bat out of hell! It has never gotten to 6th gear this quick before. The way it used to be was when i would mess around i would have to go back into 5th in order for 6th to wind out. Shit now it winds 6th out like it isnt nothing. I cant wait to see what its going to be like once i get the timming plate. Ron

I pulled it all apart angain this morning to be sure the rings are in there right and they are. I also tried switching side for the domes to see if the compression would change sides but it didnt. My readings are 105 on the right and 120 on the left. I have tried spaying wd40 around the base and the reeds to see if it is sucking air but that seems right. I am lost. Once the rings seat do you think the compression will even out? Ron

Yes i used a tester. the left side pumps right up to 115 and the right side i have to kick the shit out of it to get to 100.

I get mind at NAPA. Autozone around here dont carry them. Just another thought. Ron

I just put my topend back together and one of my jugs dont have the same compression as the other. My domes have some grooves from the piston before coming apart. Would this be the reason for the uneven compression? I know I need to replace it funds are low right now. Thanks Ron

hehehe. Good thing i didnt win them then. Thats what i was asking is if they would fit. I'm getting mine bored to 64.50. I guess i didnt explain myself good enough. No stroker motor either. I will get a port job on my next build i just dont have the funds for it just yet. For the most part mine is plenty fast enough for me. I would like to wake up the bottom end a little more though. My thinking to the 20cc domes was, being that i have the topend off i might as well go from 22cc to 20cc. Specaily if i could get them cheap from ebay. I seen were someone has them for 50 bucks shipped so i might just go that route now that i didnt win the other ones. Thanks Ron

ok cool then I will bid on these. i lost the last ones i bid on this morning. From what someone else said they should bring my compression to 140 which i still should be able to run pump gas. I was just unsure that these would fit being he has them listed as bigbore domes. damn got outbid again. oh well I wanted to get them for 25 shipped.

My domes have some grooves from when the piston came a part which i think they would still be ok to use. But if I need to replace them should i go to 20cc or keep 22cc? I also would like to pick up some used ones for 1/2 the price of new ones. Do you think it is worth it? Or just put my old ones back on? yes i am going to do that too if it isnt already done. I dont know yet because I havent pulled the flywheel off yet. Being that I have my topend apart for a rebuild I kind of wanted to do this at the sametime. I just dont want to have to run anything more then 93oct. From what I have read if you bump up the compression it will boost the power.

Don't waist your money on a billet one you cant see it anyhow. Look on ebay you can find them for around 35 bucks.

WOW 99 bucks! They are insane! You can get them much cheaper elsewhere. Is there a templete or instructions on how to do the mod yourself with a drillpress? I know the hole have to be made so the plate can be moved. I am not sure how you know when it is at +4. Sorry if i am jacking your thread.

Will pro design bigbore cool head domes fit in a regular pro design cool head? I wouldnt think so because I would think they would be bigger. I just wanted to ask to be sure. Thanks Ron

I am trying to figure out what size my singarm is. It is 20in long. How long is a stock swingarm? It is lsr along with the a-arms I would also like to find out the size of the a-arms too. What do i measure to find this out? Please help. Thank you Ron

I know man. I just thought it was a little funny. Hell it took me about a week or 2 to get used to mine when I first got it and I would ride everyday. This is with the lsr A-Arms and Swinger.

What compression should I expect with a fresh bore at 64.50 with the 20cc domes? I live in the Upstate South Carolina area. Is there a site that you guys use to check the exact elevation?

I was wondering how much if any gain I would get going from a 22cc dome to a 20cc. I dont want to have to run race fuel. I would like to stay running 93 oct. I am in the proccess of doing a top end rebuild and would like to know if changing from 22cc to 20cc/19cc would make much of a difference. Also would i have to rejet? My mains are 280's now.
