    Cylinders

No one has any stock cylinders for sale? I got a pm from one person but no reply back after a few days so i am still looking.
  3. I pulled the bowels off the carbs and noticed that it has 2 1-1's. Is that going to be a problem?
  4. Man i finaly got the cylinders from someone on ebay and man was i pissed when i saw them. they are worse then the ones i had to begain with. 2 of the bolt holes that hold them on were broke. 2 of the bolt holes that hold on the reeds were cracked. and the cylinder wall itself had a crack in them. The onlything good that came out of this was the guy refunded my money. So now i am waiting for limegreen780 to respond to my pm so i can get them from him. This is driving me crazy that i cant ride it. But in the mean time i have polished everything that can be polished. This was my excuse to strip the paint off the clutch cover and polish it. Maybe by next weekend it will be ready.
  5. fastcar01 has the right idea. Thats how i did mine. I was an ediot and put grear oil in mine thinking it went to the tranny as well. I used a turkey baster and got most if it out them a paper towel with a stick to sock the rest out. I was also hoping to flush out and pieces of the piston that broke in it.
  6. ok now i am really confused. You talked about ATF like that is what you used. All I want to know is which one i should use..lol I just think 7 bucks a quart is a bit much but if that is what i should use then thats what i will use. Is Bel-Ray Grear saver really that much better?
  7. i am looking for cylinders and the pistons if you want to sell them email me at [email protected]

    Cylinders

I need mainly the left side cylinder that hasnt been bored more then 100 over. I would really like 2 stock bore ones. Please let me know if you have them. you can email me at [email protected] Thank you Ron
  9. Also What brand of ATF do you use? I know you said Type F but what brand should I use?
  10. yes it does thank you very much. I need to find a place that sells Maxima Super M around here. My local dealer doesnt carry that. I bought 3 pints of the bel-ray 2 stroke premix today at 6 bucks per pint. It says to use 32:1 for engines 125cc and smaller and 40:1 for engines 250cc and larger. Is it safer to mix 32:1?
  11. Yes i would love it if you posted that and i am sure many others feel the same way.
  12. and no i got it for 2000 and i have spent money on it. New Tires and Rims, Front bumper, Grips, Changed from the shitty screws to stainless Hex's, new rear hubs, and now the new top end. So far i bet i have dropped 1000 into it sence i have gotten it and over the winter I plan on taking it down to the frame and have it pouder coated along with changing all barrings bushing and all the other stuff along the way. This is my pride and joy and i plan on having this for a very long time.
  13. Yes I see where that was confusing as hell. I know premix and gear oil have nothing to do with each other. My question would be. Is the only lub that the piston gets is from the premix? How does the crank get lubbed? I would think from the gear oil. When I bought this thing it had a piston slap so i knew the motor was needing a rebuild. Do 2 strokes have a little piston slap? I am wondering if the pennzoil that i used for premix contribute to the top end blowing up. I am thinking of returning the Bel-Ray Gear saver and getting the Bel-Ray premix. I was shocked to see the price for a gallon of the Bel-Ray premix. 50 bucks for 1 gallon. Sorry for the confusion. Ron
  14. What kiond of statement is that? Can't say I've ever had to break a tranny in...so, I'd just ride it like you normally would... Why would i break in a tranny when i am rebuilding the top end? And last time i read the manual it says to use 10/30 SAE.
  15. Yes I ment for the tranny. I would hate to spend all this $$ for it to happen again. Not correcting the problem if there was one. I am going nuts waiting for the parts to come in. I have polished everything I could ..lol I even stripped the paint off the clutch cover and polished it. I was reading the breaking in proccess by motoman and he says to use 10/40 for the break in. Changing it at 20 miles but to keep using it for the first 1500 miles then go back to your favorite oil. So I am confused.
  16. I ordered the oring kit from Noss. They didnt have the other parts i needed so i went to the local dealer. 35 bucks for 2 base gaskets. Man what a rip off! I am realling hopping I can get this together for the weekend. As I sit for parts to come in. A question about oil. Should I use the Bel-Ray Gear Saver for the break in? I am just a little scared to use it because all this happen right after I switched to Bel-Ray. I doubt that had anything to do with it but thats in the back of my mind. What would cause the motor to just go like that? I am hoping just age. It had a piston slap when i bought it. Would it be running lean? It has 280 mains, T5's, and boysen reeds. Thanks for any input. Ron
  17. Any one know how to get ahold of Jeff? I would like to replace them. Plus I need water pump gasket, base gasket, and the O ring for the clutch cover.
  18. I am sorry if thats the way it is coming across. I am bumbed that the top end blew up. So if my frustration is coming out I am sorry.
  19. Do you have his email? I dont see him online. I need a few other things to.
  20. Thank you.
  21. Can the O rings be reused on a cool head? They look fine. They dont feel dried out or broken.
  22. WTF! Is that question to hard?
  23. Where can I buy the gasket set for Cool head?
  24. This piston is out of the other side and the walls look good still go figure.
