Can I just get the needle valve assy for that carb or do i have to buy a complete rebuild kit? I found 1 site and they wanted 33 bucks for one and that wasnt the whole kit. I dont want to keep messing with the float because i am scared it will make it starve for fuel while its running and blow the motor. They are stock carbs. Thanks

Does someone just sell the rubber? I pulled it off again today cleaned it out and even tried adjusting the float again but the damn thing is still leaking.

I got new plugs yesterday and when i put them in i noticed they gave me BR8ES. Whats the R for? And does the R matter? It seems to be running great. Other then when i shut if off the right carb drips out of the over flow. Does the needle and seat have rubber at the end to shut off the fuel when the float reaches the top? If so I am thinking that while they were sitting durning the rebuild it shrunk from no fuel being in the carb. Does that sound right? I pulled the carb off and cleaned it out and ajusted the float a litte but it is still leaking. Is it time to get a rebuild kit for it? Thanks

ok i am going to get new plugs tomorrow then get everyone opion... my mains are 280. and i noticed my needle is on the second spot from the bottom. Thats how it was when i got it so i need your all's help on making sure its right. After i put the new plugs in it i will take another pic. Thanks guys!

These are the ones that i had in before the rebuild that i tried to clean up. I am going to buy me some new ones tomorrow. One side was missing until i switched them.. So you think its rich? I added more oil to be on the safe side. bit i will go back to 32:1 until i feel safe them i will go to 40:1 .. Where can i find i good pic of how they should look? I did a search for spark plugs here but go all kinds of stuff.

Well i got her back together and shee runs great but i am alittle concerned about the color of the plugs. Does the brand of oil make a difference in the color of the plugs? I am using Bel-Ray 2 Cycle oil this time and the color to me looks like a grayish brown. Is that how it should look or is it lean? Here is a pic of them. I would heat to go though all this and mess up the motor. Thanks another pic

Never mind i found one. after called everyone in the phonebook one about 50 miles from me has one in stock. Thanks anyhow.

what a bunch of bullshit! No local dealer has a throddle cable in stock here! Unfreaking real! Is there a way i can repair mine until a new one comes in? It is broken where they split into 2. on the left side.

Thats what i would think to. I would think that all dealers would stock them. I hope so anyhow. I am ready to ride again!

Is the throddle cable something that a local dealer would stock? I got the motor put back together tonight. (man that was alot of work!) The i was checking the slides to make sure they were in sync and noticed they werent and it turned out the left throddle cable was freid. That was disapointing. I really wanted to start the break in tonight. But on a good note. A few kicks and it started right up. Course it died without the cales hooked up but she is ready to come back to life! I would like to thank all of you that has giving me help with this! The is a great forum!!!

and florida isnt. lol .. I lived in fla for over 15 years and what a shit hole it is. If you are cuban then fla is the place to be specaily Miami.. As for MRYTLE BEACH i cant really say i havent been. After living in Fla i hate the beach.. I live on the other side of South Carolina in the north west corner and i love it!. I have seen some of you guys talk about plug chops. What is the advantage of doing this? Is this something you want to do ONLY if you have motor mods? Like porting. Or is it good to do with no mods? Thanks

That was another question i have. I noticed i have hot rod rod's are those stock? My guess would be no and it would seem to me if you go through the trouble of replacing those the crank would have been welded. Course my luck it hasnt been done.. lol

mine has been though 2 owners besides me and has had alot of mods done to it. So i wonder if that has been done already and if not would it have come apart by now. Its a 2000 and i am sure it has been ran hard. The top end has been rebuilt before i got it and now i am redoing it myself only cause the right side piston came apart.

I have been thinking alot about this myself. Can you see if it has been done with the jugs off? or do i have to split the case?

marked on the bottom of the bowels. 1-1 goes on one side and 1-2 goes on the other side. They are different for the choke.

Dont rag me to bad if this is a stupid question but I was wondering if clear vinyl hoses that you can get at lowes or home depot would work for the coolant lines that come from the water pump and the motor? Not the main hoses. I want to get rid of the black ones. I was wondering if the vinyl ones would hold the pressure if there is any pressure in them. Or if they would dry out and get briddle.

two bowels and they both are side 1-1 .. one is 1-1 and the other side is 1-2 .. the 1-1 is the choke side.
