  1. Not to sound like a jerk but why not put in a temp gauge? You can get them real cheap at just about any auto parts store. With the gauge there is no guessing if its over heating. Sorry to hear that it blew up an expencive leson to learn.
  2. Hey man dont feel bad I was wondering if you could over rev myself. That is one of the main reasons I havent taken my TORS off yet. I would hate to let someone ride it and they twist it up to high and kill my motor.
  3. its the hubs that come loose. they have the bolt that goes throught the middle of them thats how the stay on no splines.
  4. Does anyone have the X-33 Axle? I am having a problem with mine. When I bought my shee it had one on it and the left hub was loose so i bought 2 more. Damn things were 187 bucks for the set. That was about 6 months ago. I had to keep tighting it up because it would keep coming loose now it is starting to crack were the bolt holds it on. My question is am I the only one having this problem? Is this just a shitty axle? I looked on Dura Blue's site and they talk about them coming loose and to use lock tight which I did. Is there anything else I can do. These things cost to much to have to replace them this often. Thanks Ron

  7. ok sorry not rust but pit. When i got my shee the guy that i got it from ran fix a flat in them and i had to buy new rims because the rims were getting eaten through.
  8. The only problem with stuff like that is it makes the rims rust out from the inside.
  9. Dont use Starting fluid. If your going to use something use either the premix gas or carb cleaner. If topend is in good shape then maybe your pilot jets are to small. Do a compression check to be sure topend is good.
  10. Might be a stupid question but you said you have had it a year and a half. Was there any gas in it while it was sitting? Have you tried spraying cab cleaner in the carbs then try to start? If you are getting Fuel and Spark do a compression test to be sure topend is good. Also if you have TORS try disconecting the black box under the gas tank. Just a few things to try.

  12. Here is how I did mine. Sorry Pics arent the best they are from my phone. I went to lowes and bought the brass T then used a piece of hose to put the sending unit it the top. I'm sure there are better ways but this worked for me.
  13. I will take some tomorrow. you want to keep the sender as close to the head a posible. (sp) sorry. It cost me around 20 bucks and works great.
  14. thats gay! Get a temp gauge from autozone then go to lowes and buy a T for the temp sender. If your worried about it vibrating then get the gauge that is water filled. I didnt care if it vibrates a little. I mounted mine in the front fender.

    Dura Blue Hub

    Does anyone have a hub for a Dura Blue Axle? The one that has the bolt threw the middle of it? Thanks Ron
  16. I'm in the upstate South Carolina area elevation is around 1000 above sea level. I have been thinking about going to 20cc domes but would that bring up my compression to much? Its at 140 now. I want to stick with pump gas 93 oct.
  17. I am looking for a jet kit for my stock carbs. Where is the best place to get a kit that has different ones to choose from? Or do I have to specify which sizes I want? Its getting to be a pain to start so I think I should go up in the pilots I'm at 25 now and 280 for mains. Now thats it getting colder I would like to go up on each one. What would be recomended? 27 on pilots and 300 on mains?
  18. As long as you are above 100 you are good, but they need to be within 10% of each other. Anything under 100 and not between 10% between the 2 is time for a new top end.
  19. Check TORS Unplug the black box under the gas tank and try. If works then you know something on the TORS came unplugged.
  20. hell i can get them on ebay for 50 brand new and that includes shipping. A good deal for used ones would be 25 or 30. You do that then we can talk.
  21. I would think you would need to port then bore so it would take out any burrs. Not sure but would make sence. Course I have been wrong many times.
  22. I agree! And it was running fine until you changed the plate. So I would guess its in the wiring. Are you sure when you changed the plate you didnt pinch a wire?

  24. I'm going to recheck the compression tomorrow and if still not right i'm going to pull off the right side and see whats going on. It just runs so damn good!
