  2. I was thinking about taking the head back off and putting just a tiny bit of sealer around the O ring that goes around the domes. What do you think?
  3. Mind taking a stab at my uneven compression? I have a thread on it. I did what you said took the cylinders to the shop he told me to get the next size bigger then took them back to have the pistons fitted.

  5. I thought about this all night and was wondering how I would pressurize the topend. I would somehow need to plug up the intake and exaust ports then kick it over. Would it work if I just ran it and did the soapy water trick?

  7. Hrmm. I dont think my compression test is set up like that. I dont think it will let air back out. It has a pin at the bottom where it goes in the head like a valve stem. I wonder if it would mess it up if i drilled it out then I would be able to tell if its leaking. If in fact it is leaking would it be from the O ring around the dome?
  8. I was wondering the samething. I didnt pay attention when I put them back in. I would like to go down a size or 2 but if the compression is going to be 145 with 22cc then I will just stay with them. I dont have the cash for new domes right now. Will it do anything if I run it like this for a while?
  9. The 280's is what it came with and I ran it all summer with those. The summer was in the 80's and high 90's
  10. Ok now I am stumped. I just redid the topend again but this time I took the cylinders to the shop to have the pistons fitted. I thought it needed just a little bore but when i picked them up he told me all it needed was a hone. When I got home I checked the ring gap to be sure and they are the exact same and they all are .010. After I got it together I did the compression test and the left side is 145 and the right is 115. It seems to be running good but I know thats not right. What should I check? I am reusing the O rings for the cool head. Would that be it? There is no cross over tube. I dont think that would be the problem. The domes do have some piston damage from the last time the piston came apart. Would that be it? Can it be the reeds going bad? Please give me some suggestions Ron
  11. Try taking the filter off and see what happens. I have heard people having problems with inline filters. I personaly dont use one the tank has a filter in the petcock. Or whatever its called.
  12. Thanks what I was thinking too. A lot cheaper then buying new ones. Plus if it up by the hanger it should be somewhat hidden.
  13. I was wondering about if I would need to rejet for the winter. I live in the upstate South Carolina are around 1000 above sea level. It doesnt get real cold maybe 30's and 40's in the winter. I'm at 280 mains and from what i could read the pilots are 25. (hard to see going blind I am going to look again today to be sure) If I do need to at what temp should I rejet? And what sizes should I go to? Thanks Ron

  16. I really need to get rid of these. These are band new and I will include the complete gasket set for 10 more bucks. Brand New Pro-lites 64.50 w/ Unopened Gasket Set for 60 bucks + Shipping!! If you dont need the Gaskets I will sell them for 50.00. I paid 149.00 and taking 100.00 lost. The come with C-Clips, Wrist Pins, Rings, and Pistons of course. It took me 3 times to get the right size so i need to get some of my money back. Yes I know I was stupid so dont rag me. Live and Learn! Ron
  17. One of the psitons set I listed on ebay last week sold but the dick didnt pay for them. I emailed and emailed with no resond. I relisted them and this time I put immedaite (sp) payment required. They sold all went fine. I shipped them out yesterday and then got an email from ebay saying that they removed my listing. Something about the person that was bidding was bidding without the owners authorization. So I would guess the person that won them before and didnt pay sold this guys account. Anyways, I agree ebay is out of control.

  20. Yes it is Brand New. I think milo is going to get it but if not its yours. Good chance I will have another one on Monday if you want that one. I have my pistons coming and I dont need the Head gasket. The only way I wont have it is if my 64.50's sell and that person wants the gasket set along with them. If you are wondering why its because I have a cool head and dont need it. Ron

  22. Thats what I just did today. To advantce it +4 you need to rotate the timming plate 4mm clockwise. It is 1mm per 1 degree, so +4 would be 4mm clockwise. I wont know how well it works until my pistons come. I did it with my drill press and drimel tool. It wasnt hard course thats if i did it right. Hope this help. No i didnt take any pics.
  23. Worked like a charm! I did the M0D to my timming plate. I will see how well I did once I get my topend back together.
