  1. you fucking jackass no one said anything about the ATV tire! If you thought this is about ATV then your the fool! I couldnt give a shit about getting better mileage for a ATV its a toy! Last time I checked no one is riding their ATV to work or pulling up to a gas pump to fill it up. It didnt bother me that you all turned this into a joke but dont call me a fool for asking a question. I joined this forum when I bought my shee and I stuck around because there are some very smart people here but if this is whats going to happen when a question gets asked you can fuck off. I could understand if it was a stupid question like what color is my powerband but its not! There are plenty of other forums that people dont act like fucking children!!!
  2. Looks like I will find out if its bs or not. While I was waiting for them to put my new tires on I noticed on their sign that they used nitrogen so I walked over to the guy that was putting them on and asked about it. Turns out that they use nitrogen for all their tires. He was telling me that the main reason for it is it helps with the life of the tire. Being that with the nitrogen in them they will only reach a certain temp. Which make since. He also said that you might get a few more miles to the gallon but its really just to help get the full mileage out of the tire. Its filled with 65% nitrogen 35% air and the only way it will leak out is if you have a rim or valve steam leak and of course a puncture. It wasnt any extra charge so what the hell. Time will tell.
  3. Ok now I am more confused then ever..lol.. The reason I brought this up is my wife came home from work last week talking about this. She said a guy at her work told her about it after he tried it saying it improved his gas mileage by 30%. As we all know with the price of gas if you can gain 30% it just might be worth a shot. Before I waisted some money on it I thought I would ask you guys here being you guys are a hell of alot smarter then me. Thanks, Ron
  4. Thank you for the responce guys. This is why I wanted to ask before I spent moeny on it. You guys are the best!! Thanks, Ron
  5. Ok you dont have to be a smartass!!! I'am just asking a question!! If your going to make smartass remarks then dont reply!!
  6. Has anyone heard of Nitrogen filled tires? I was told it is suppost to improve the fuel mileage by 30%. Hasd anyone tried this and can verify that this is true or not?? Its something about the nitrogen keeping the tires cool to cut down on fritction (sp). I'm about ready for a new set of tires and if this works I was going to try it when I get my new tires. Thanks, Ron
  7. Sounds to me like something got sucked into the cabs. All was good until you switched to reserve. Maybe when you did that something got sucked into the carb from the bottom of the tank. Might try spraying some fuel into the carbs and see if it will run longer. If it was the TORS I would think it would idle just fine the problem would be when you tried to hit the gas. If it were me I would check the cockpit screens, the fuel line, and the carbs. Course I have known to be wrong many times. Good Luck
  8. Dont make the mistake that I have made in the past and guess with size you need. Get the compression tester and if it is time pull the cylinders off and take them down to the machine shop so they can tell you what size you need. Then you can order the right size. Once the new pistons come in take them along with the cylinders back to the shop and have them fitted. Trust me you will save alot of money and time doingt it like that. If you have the $$ to get it ported this would be the time to get it done. If this is the case I would send them off to someone like Jeff at fast and let him take care of doing the port work and fitting the pistons. 600 buck is plenty for a top end rebuid and port job the only thing you will have to do if rejet your carbs after you put the top end back together. The top end if VERY VERY easy like everyone has said plus you get to learn and if you have any question there are alo of poeple here that are willing to help. Good Luck.
  9. The best way is to do a compression test. That will tell you if its rebuild time. The cylinders need to be within 10 lbs of each other and once it gets to 100 lbs or below its rebuild time. As for Wiseco you will find that most of the people here use them. If the rebuild is done right and jetting is right you shouldnt have any problems with Wiseco (thats what I used for all my rebuilds). FYI Vito pistons are still made by Wiseco if I'm not mistaken. Get a good compression tester and check it. Hope this helps.
  10. If you can get away with just a hone then thats the way to go. Doing a bore isnt going to get you any more hp. Take them to a shop and have them check to see if a hone is good enough. No since in cutting more of them if not needed. Now if you want more power get them ported now that they are off.
  11. I asked the same question when I replaced my clutch bands. Just like everyone said ditch the O-rings.
  12. thats just to damn funny!!!! Even if you just had a case of beer? ..lol
  13. Wow the Buy it Now price is 45k. Good luck with that!
  14. Kind of hard to see when your riding. Isnt the whole point to be able to see if its running hot while running? Its not hard to mount one to your plastics.
  15. If I remember correctly you tunr it clockwise to advance and counter clockwise to retard. Here is a picture of one http://www.cascadeinnovations.net/ Scroll down to Stator Timing Advance Plate
  16. Thats what I did to mine. What I did was found a picture of one that is made to be advanced just to get an idea of were +4 was. I only moved mine the +4 degrees. I know others have done it and have a better way but this seemed to work fine for me. I'm sure others will chime in with a better explanation. Course for 35 bucks you can get one that is marked so there is no guessing.
  17. I just signed it even though I dont live anywhere around there. I think it's bs that we are loosing our riding places. If they had their way we would only be able to ride at tracks.
  18. Have you tried switching the plug wires to see if its the coil? just an idea
  19. yeah, I had it listed here first but no one wanted to pay 2500.00 for it which I thought was crazy so I listed it on ebay. Here is the link http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=2000+shee The pics arent that great. Thanks, Ron
  20. You guys are a trip!
  21. Well guys its a sad day for me. I sold my shee to pay bills and yesterday they came and picked it up. What a freaking depressing ass feeling. I guess I could look at it like it was a good thing that i had it to sell but really blows that business didnt pick back up in time so i didnt have to sell it. And of course just my luck business is starting to pick back up now that its gone. I got a call this morning saying that we just got another contract and we will be getting much more work starting Monday. If this only happened a few weeks back I would still have my shee. I just keep telling myself I will get another one by the summer. I sure hope so. It took me several years to get this one. Anyways enough crying. I just felt like venting a little. I hope you guys understand. For now I will just read and dream until I get another shee this summer. Thanks, Ron
  22. Try here http://www.wiseco.com/PDFs/Catalogs/CB07/YamahaATV.pdf .080 over would be 66.25mm I beleive. I know .030 is 64.75 so if i did my math right then 66.25 should be .080 over. Hope this helps. I know its expencive as hell here but if you have no choice.
  23. Man I love how you have that painted!!!!! Are you going to do the back fenders like that too??
  24. just keep in mind that the one by pro design is a pain to polish because of the of the way the top is made. other then that i havent had any problems with mine.
  25. Yes I am looking into them. Thank you, Ron
