look what toomey racing mailed me

I think thats funny as hell, because you know if they wernt made to run on a banshee why are there so many people running pods? Well if they dont work well why do big name motor builders like Passion, F.A.S.T, HerrJugs, all run them on their biks, hell I have even seen Trinity run pods on thier drag bikes an Cascade Innovations too. Its because plain and simple they work well, when I get my pipes im gonna run K&N pods. If K&N filters work bad why are they the number 1 selling air filter an highest horsepower airfilter in everything from vehicles to quads? Simply put In my opinion K&N is the best air filter bar none, everything I have ever owned I have always put a K&N filter in it. -
you did good an it could have been alot worse, a few years ago when the arena cross came to Tulsa an I went an watched it, there were two shees a blaster an the rest were 450s, this was when 450s were just starting to catch on when half of everyone in the dirtbike class was on a 2-stroke, well one shee just had pipes an he finished last an this course was so small alot like supercross just mainly jumps an the other shee looked set up it had rocket pipes elka/laeger front end an rear end it was bad it one first a YFZ got second an believe it or not the blaster won 3rd. It was great because inside that arena it smelled like klotz an race fuel an mainly all you heard was 2-stroke screams in the quad an dirtbike class.

If your talkin about me no maybe I havnt been to the dunes in Cali, an where the race was held was a 1 mile strip of paved road, I wasnt racing I was just saying what I saw happen, the raptor 700 was an 06 with GYTR slip-on, doebeck chip, k&n filer an that was it, the 450R was an 06 an everyone knows the 06's are faster an more powerful than the older ones, it was an electric start with a Curtis sparks full exhaust an k&n filter an jetted an im pretty shure it had a rev-box, it out ran the raptor by 2 links. Once again im saying im not trying to argue an if you look above what I said Im not hating on 450s becasue I used to have one an I am not hating on Raptor 700s either because there are some that are really fast out there im just stating what I saw happen. And im shure the YFZ I used to have would kill a raptor with a pipe. chip an filter, once again not hating I am just saying. Watch the vid I posted above it was held at the dunes an the shee outran the piped raptor, an it outran the YFZ 450's too. -
hard to start all the sudden...help!

Hell ya man im sold, when I can get more money after I get all of the bolt on mods im gonna get +2+1 wicked a-arms in black an get works shocks black an white springs an get a +2 axel, also im gettin my front and rear hubs pc'd in candy black. But ya if the weather has been consistent then I would rule out jetting especially if the weather has been the same before and it was easy to start, have you cleaned your air-filters? an could be your T.O.R.S if it hasnt been removed, when its being hard to start is it getting spark? or fuel? -

I am not comparing in used prices because all of the quads I have owned were bought new, im not trying to argue either im just saying, I have bought a new YFZ 450 modded the hell out of it an traded it in on a new banshee, thats what I got now is a new banshee well actually I bought it new last year. Ya bone stock vs bone stock 450 will win, basic bolt on vs basic bolt on, it determines the rider , I have seen bolt on shees walk away from bolt on 450s, The 450s are no slouch as I have owned one that was modded out so I know. I meant 450 $3500 in mods vs Shee $3500 in mods Shee will have more power an be faster. Shee vs modded Raptor 700 Shee vs 2 modded YFZ-450s Doesnt answer questions but its entertaining. -

I was gonna say jetting because of a sudden weather change, an if not because of a sudded weather change idk., but no the gas tank being full doesnt have anything to do with it being hard to start, I fill mine up full like that an it ussually starts within 5 kicks cold, 1 kick warm, an surprised the hell outta me when one day I rode for like an hour an the next day I pulled it outta my garage to go ride again an it started on the first kick. It was like 75 degrees out both days. BTW How do you like it since you put on new a-arms an shocks? -

Actually its a proven fact that its cheaper to mod out a basnhee than a 450 or raptor 700, I had like $3000 in mods alone with my 450 not including how much the quad was when I bought it new it was $6700 an I wasnt even close to being done with it thats why I decided to trade it in an get a banshee. For $3500 I could have a banshee faster than most 450s an 700 raptors, except for the drag 450s an raptors. cub cylinders an a 4mil crank an bigger carbs= faster than most 4strokes -

The 450s are bad, I owned a modded out YFZ an ya it was fast an I outran a few shees but it wasnt by much, mine was piped , cammed, pro-flow intake, quick shot, little mods to the carb an some other little things , it was dynoed at 50hp. There is only one raptor 700 around where I ride that I have seen run an it was slow, it had a pipe , chip, k&n intake an it was dissapointingly slow, im not hating on 700s because there are some out there that are really fast but when a 450R with just a pipe can blow it away its sad, an the 450R is slow too it got smoked by a shee with just fmf gnarly pipes the only people around where I ride only ride YFZ's, 450R's, banshees, an dirtbikes. The only people who want 700s around my area only want one because they think oh its a 700 so it must do 90 mph stock an have like 100 hp an its got a 700cc motor so its the fastest thing around, basically people who dont know much about quads. Have passion, herrjugs, or F.A.S.T..ect do a professional port and polish an maybe some bigger carbs an if you go all out an get a real agressive port job get some different pipes , like CPI inframes. -
Ya man if your gonna get a 450 sell the shee your self or part it out, the dealers wont give you anything, back when I had a blaster I bought it brand new an it was an 03 1 year later with lots of modds an it was better than new an I keep my quads immaculate they only gave me $1500 I was gonna sell it for like $2700, ya an that was back like 4 years ago when I was hell bent on gettin a 450 an of course $1500 dont make a big difference when you buy a brand new YFZ, on the flip side last year when I traded my MX modded YFZ in on a brand new shee they gave me $4500 I was gonna sell it for $5000 an I payed off tha shee the day I bought it, I got my new 06 S.E banshee for $4700 OTD.

Ya definitely hit up Nitrotate, he does some badass work, if you have him do it you will definitely be pleased with the out come. Im gonna have him PC my front an rear hubs in candy black.

Ladies, deer hunting, I like to fish, trucks, car audio, partys an right now school, in may I get to start full time job because I graduate high school in may, guns, hangin with my friends, workin out. -
Ya that was like some guy on e-bay trying to sell his shee an he was like ya its super fast an has pawerbands too, I was like wtf a power band inst a mod its just how every motor runs an its the peak point in the rpm range where the power is made.
-
My bad, I was in a hurry lastnite an I misread the post, you already know how much hp you have now.
-
Im gonna say like 43 to 45 give or take.
-
Well see theres your problem, after you get your head ported an a different cam an a pink powerbad then your haulin ass, you might need to get your valves re-seated too. jk jk jk
-
Well with that list of mods im gonna say your horsepower is anywhere from 52 to 60 give or take.
-
If its a bone stock Shee about 36 or 37 hp.
-
Ya I remeber seeing a thread like this a month or two ago, we all figured out that it was just 2 cylinders set up kinda like a banshee an we all figured out that it didnt run, but it looks cool.
-
As far as how much hp you have its way over 30 I can tell you that because a stock Banshee dynos at 36HP, an with your mods im guessin your prolly at around 46 to about 48 hp give or take. I have seen well running shees with basic bolt-on mods have 50HP .
-
Well if I were you I would have it ported by a pro, like passion,herrjugsracing,F.A.S.T,...ect then buy some 33mm carbs, an have your stock crank trued an welded, an a heavy duty clutch kit and im pretty sure you will be happy until you buy that 4mil.
-
If it was me I wouldnt do it becasue if you think about it the oil wont mix up that good with the gas an running it that way when the fuel goes through the carbs if its not mixed right the oild could gum up the carbs, and or when you leave the bike set for a day or two an the half-assed mix the oil would settle to the bottom an then when he fires the shee up it would be sucking alot more oil an that would definitely gum the carbs up, and or like said above it would run a chance of sucking strait gas an that would blow the top-end. I would just buy a $5 gas jug that way you can mix it at 32:1 the right way.

I love this website an the wide variety of Banshee information, the people are cool, idk why some people on here like to start shit but I have never had any problems with anyone. If you treat people the way you wanna be treated you wont have to worry about anything. I love this site an have been a member since 06, I finally bought a new shee last year an have been hooked since, this site has givin me alot of helpful information an givin me an idea of what im gonna do to my shee. Everyone on here has always been helpful to me.

I run pump gas in mine, I actually run 91 because its the highest octane you can buy at the pump in my area.
-
Hey man thats a really good deal, do you have pics? because my best friend is really intrested. He is willing to buy them if he can see pics, I can PM you his E-mail adress if you wanna e-mail pics.

LOL!!!! That shit is funny MJ. But for real if you want to get a different pipe all together then I would look closely at the FMF Fatty's or SST's or like Snop said Pro-Circuits. if you like dragging you definitley dont wanna get the 2intot1 pipe because it falls off too early for the top-end. Toomeys are good if I were you I would keep them, but its your choice. Fattys are great pipes, my best friend has some on his shee with a mild port job an his hits hard off the bottom an pulls good through the mid-range an has decent top-end, the fattys fall off a little sooner than T-5's SST's are like the fattys but they dont fall off as soon as the fattys an they pull alot harder, comparable to T-5's Pro-Circuits I cant really say as I have never seen them on a shee up close an have never rode one with pro-circuits, but I hear they are torqey as hell an have a decent mid range an top-end.
