Ya when I bought my shee last year new I traded in my 450 for it an they gave me 4500 for the YFZ an the Banshee was 4700 OTD so I gave them my 450 an $200 an paid my shee off the day I bought it, they still tried to get me to register it but I didnt an its no big deal if you dont.

20 or 21 cc domes is all you can do on pump gas, you might be able to get away with 20 cc domes for pump gas, 19 an below you have to run race gas.

If it was me I WOULD USE THE CLUTCH simply for the fact that why would they put a clutch on the quad if it wasnt supposed to have it an wasnt meant to be used, I can actually shift faster with the clutch, not saying it cant be done that way but better safe than sorry, it could possibly mess up the shift forks an maybe the shift drum an could burn up the clutch, but idk im just sayin.

Ya I heard of that, its stupid just another reason for people to get money off of you, I think its because they dont charge you tax when you buy a new one so insted of paying sales tax if your a resident you have to register your quad, dirtbike, PWC, Boat,...ect When I bought my Banshee brand new last year they tried to get me to register mine but I didnt also when my stepdad bought his new kawasaki last year he was supposed to register it but he didnt either its not a big deal if you dont.

Even if the slides are in backwards it will run like shit, I remember a guy posting how his shee was running bad an he checked his carbs an his slides were in backwards, he fixed that an it ran great.

Its a low end only pipe an unless your gonna do MX on a track or are riding deep in the woods I wouldnt reccomend it. It pulls hard on the low end an some what of the mid range but in the upper part of the mid range an top end it falls off an dont pull.

If the carbs are on backwards it wont run an if it does run the quad will run like shit.

Hit up Jim at Passion Racing, he does some exrtemely good work and I plan on having him port an polish my cylinders with an agressive dune port.

Mine has always done that since I bought it new last year, it doesnt do it much when its cold outside but when its warm occasionally it will spit a little coolant but no big deal, ya you can add cooland to either the radiator or the overflow bottle.

Last year I took mechanical trades at Tech an we learned some carpentry, electrical work, welding an metal fab, cnc plasma cutting, and small engine repair an service. I already knew how to weld as we have a couple of welders at my house an the year before I took shop at school an as a senior this year in high school I took shop again an decided not to take tech as I mainly am intrested in metal fab an thats all we do at school in shop class.

I have to say 3rd gear an then the front end sets back down, 100% bone stock, thats about to change though.

Ya I know what you mean, around here all they wanna do is write tickets an bitch about loud audio systems, someone doing 3 to 5 mph over the speed limit, finding someone who doesnt stop a full 3 seconds at a stop sign, just stupid little shit that they could let go, even though there have been alot of car break ins, vandalism, an other crimes bigger than a damn speeding ticket. I dont have that issue posted in the pic but I do have 4wheel-atv action test where it was the raptor 660 vs banshee vs ds 650 vs 400ex vs cannondale cannibal an this test was done back in 02 & is basically the same test they said the shee was out dated an wasnt up to the comfort level an handled like shit but it went the fastest when they got top-speed numbers Banshee-77mph Raptor - 75 mph DS650 - 74 mph Cannondale - 73 mph 400EX - 66 mph Dirtwheels also did a shoot out in January 03 with the 03 LE banshee with flames an they put on FMF fatty pipes an it was the banshee vs raptor 660 vs ds 650 vs suzuki z 400 vs cannondale moto 440(the $1200 one) they had ALBA put on pipes intakes an jet all of the quads an put on a praphics kit. I read the dec 05 issue an wished they had talked about the shee more an wished they would have finished that project trinity banshee an when they tested the 06 S.E. models in the june 06 issue I wished they would have reviewed them an talked about them an showed more pics not just say here are some action shots at glamis an like posted above they never talked about the other S.E. banshee all black with the candy purple ghost flames an black frame with the silver dust painted in it.

Where did you get those rubber boots for the 2 individual filters? I was wondering if they sell those here in the U.S, if so they might not be a bad idea.

Keep your shee, if its unreliable you can always find parts an turn it into an extremely fast bike, id would rather ride soemthing 20 years old vs something that was only around for 3 years- the honda 250R is the only exception because I have rode a friends 250R along time ago. At least you know what you got with your banshee an if it breaks all of the people here on the HQ are willing to help you fix it with thier advice.

Well im not gonna lie the race was close 450R only one by 2 lengths, your prolly right it would have been a better race if the raptor had the right set up an the raptor prolly would have won if it was running right with the right chip, it backfired alot upon deceleration, the only thing my YFZ needed was a port&polish, 13:1 high comp piston, an a stroker crank to make it 450cc's mine was an 04 an it made 50 HP on the dyno an like 46 foot pounds of torque, im just saying that raptor didnt impress me an im shure my 450 would have out ran it too, BTW just wondering how much it cost to set up a raptor with pipe an filter an PCIII?
