  1. Uhhh, I know the cheap way of doing it. Take an old butter knife, wrap a towel around the handle, heat it up with an acetaline torch, and slice away. Used to do that on old snowmobile seats, the big ass boxy ones on the old Bombardiers.
  2. Ahhhh, this is why I work on all my shit myself. Once you start getting in with different builders and shops, it's justa mess, everybody seems like their out to make a buck, often at your expense. Too many cooks spoil the soup you know. All of the stuff your talking about you probably could have done yourself with the help of a Clymer. FYI your save a buttload of money turning wrenches yourself.
  3. Damn bro, I think he went to Glamis allready, this post is like 3 months old.
  4. I knew he was up to something with that reed sale. That's an old trick, rocky mountain did it to me before, took a few weeks to wear off, and my cell phone still dials them mysteriously from time to time.
  5. Why is it that like less then 10% of the posts in this forum never have any pictures?
  6. There are a number of things that could make it lock up. I would check the easiest first, the bearings in the carrier. The carriers do not have a grease fitting, but the bearings are sealed, so you don't really really need one. I tapped one into my carrier anyway when I last had mine apart. Also check and make sure the brakes arent locked up either. There are other, more serious ones are engine or transmission trouble. How is the shifting? Still pretty easy and smooth? Also, did you check the pressure in the cylinders, I'd try that too. Was the jetting right? How much gas to oil were you mixing and what kind? Like I said, I'd check the easiest first, but from my limited experience, when bearings fail, usually they give plenty of warning, and even then, they don't just lock up. I wish you the best, but it sounds like you may have more serious trouble.
  7. 260 seems right, if you are running an airbox with a lid, at mild temps, and lower altitudes. Just wanted to start with the obvious first. Other then that, sounds like you had something rattling around in there.
  8. I see very very few if any sales pitches in the last 20 or so posts he has, and plenty of technical help. He has always been a very very nice guy to me, I remember when I was having trouble with my carbs, and he told me they neded to be synched, etc. etc. I did not even know he sold a carb sycnh tool until I ask dajoegejr about it. Never once did he try to sell me one. And you know what, after buying it and using it, it cleared up my problem. From my limited experience here, Jeff is a very cool guy, and most of his posts are not sales pitches or BS, they are in fact quite helpful.
  9. Yeah, that guy is a grade A douche bag. Not only is he a blantant racist, and a cocksucker, he did in fact beat NYUK for a seat on e-bay. We had a whole long as thead on here abut how many cocks he sucked, and it got deleted, don;t know why, sure could have helped you out. Any story that homo tells is made up by the way. If you wanna see the money or the swinger your probably gonna have to go down to FL and leave a boot in his ass. NYUK has his adress, and he would most likely give it to you. If you see this guy kick him in the nuts for me once.
  10. Stupid question, but when you put those fattys on you did rejet right?
  11. Got a pic of those Razrs, what kind of ITPs are they on? Thanks,
  12. It shouldnt on an MX track. The only reason I run mine is because I hit some pretty rocky trails. Otherwise I wouldn't. Even your rims should have a larger diameter then the sprocket and rotor, so assuming you are on a smooth surface, the rotor and sprocket will never touch the ground. Last time I went to an X track the only people running skids were guys that ran trails also.
  13. As much as I complain about NJ, I'm glad it isn't the nanny state that canada is. Really, at what point does Darwinism just go out the window?
  14. I actually like those Cannondales, heard they were sick handling bikes, but this one looks like it's been used and abused. Come on though, a buck 20, if your gonna lie, might as well go for the gusto, just tell 'em it will do 220 or some shit.
  15. Damn, all these people, and all these stories, it sure is hard to keep 'em staright.
  16. Hell yeah it is, hope he learns a lesson, watch who the fuck you say shit too. You can't expect people to sit back do nothing. Why would something like this be staged? Enetertainment?
  17. So your bike isn't in pieces, you just put the plug back in. That's interesting considering you know you melted a ring to the piston, and burnt whole in the piston. Now I'm not gonna argue with you here or start a flame war, but if your going to post a story on the internet, and you had it torn down this far, I'm just wondering why you wouldn't snap a couple pics to share with us. If for nothing else to keep assholes like me quiet. Do you not a have a camera, is it broken, or you just didn't think about it. Just wondering, that's all.
  18. Is that the same shee you traded for the 250r? Lookin' nice, those are some bad ass graphics. Let me know if you wanna sell that bumper, PRMs are the shit.
  19. I'd probably put this in the mods/repairs forum. Besides that we need a lot more info. You can get a decent amount of money from these bikes on a part out. I don't know how strapped for cash you are or arent, or how much you paid for the thing, but if the money is right, I'd go that route and buy a banshee afterwards. If you are gonna fix it, make sure that is ALL that's wrong with it, sounds like it's been in a crash. After I rolled mine, I thought it only needed minor stuff, come to find out after it was all apart, that I had bent a lot of shit I wasn't planning on. So, like I said before, if your trying to do this on a tight budget, you might be better to part it out, and get another bike with the money. If you do decide to fix it, I'm sure we could help you here, or check out YFZCentral.com as well.
  20. Damn broke, I never saw your shee before. That shit is nice as hell. I wish I had the loot for an outlaw frame, those things must handle sick as hell. I only trail ride mine, and it could use a little more in the handling department. That's a damn fine excursion too.
  21. Wow, my dad thinks his Kawie Prarie is fast. Awesome post dude, nice to see people gettin out there!
  22. Holy 5 time post! Don't get too happy on that button there.
  23. Well, I'm sure th bike is in pieces now either at your house or the shop(probably the shop). Break out the camera, git r done! Just trying to keep people in "Rides of Shame" honest, lot's o crazy stories here.
  24. Pauly Shore's a douche bag anyway, never really cared for him. That's some funny shit, next time, the video forums are probably the place, either way,s till funny though.
