  1. PM sent....would be great if you could size down my pics to be accepted in the forum.
  2. Selling my 2002 Banshee - never raced, tweaked or abused. Always run on Yamalube 2R at 24:1 and carefully maintained. I am the second owner. First owner bought it new in 2004. I bought it last fall. Together we may have 40 hours on the bike. Everything is like new. Plastics are very clean with very few scratches. Always garaged. Absoulutely stock from the air filter to the pipes. No mods - period. I ride with my son and our schedules just dont' give us enough time to ride anymore...that's why I'm selling. I don't think you will find a cleaner 2002 stock Banhsee. [email protected] for more info and pics..... the resolution and size of my pics is more than the site accepts. $2600 OBO Clear title.
  3. This might be a dumb question....but how does it install?
  4. You may find a "gap" in that relationship during the "know it all years" but they will come back. My oldest doesn't ride...he has Cystic Fibrosis and at 27 is a living miracle. He has 2 sets of twins so that's my hobby with him....helping him out. But as a boy, he and I built a huge model railroad layout. We still go to train shows but now we take the little ones. So we still have a good bond and good relationship. My youngest was the wild one...we bought and raced a Mustang to get those hormones off the street...that blossomed into us building a full blown 11 second drag car...and now we ride 4 wheelers and we're building a drag 450R Honda to run at the local track. And today....here in St Louis we have a 67 degree day predicted...so guess where my youngest and I will be going in about an hour? The 4 wheelers are already packed and ready!
  5. Just got a well maintained stock banshee with almost no hours on it. Given that launching means slipping or dumping the clutch and that these beasts have little low end, what are you all seeing for average clutch life? Most of my riding is on sand flats/loose dirt. Thanks.
  6. Any chance you could e-mail a pic of the rear fender? [email protected]
  7. Noticed the front fenders said blue...is it safe to assume the rears are blue also?
  8. Starting smalll is good advice. Once I got completely comfortable with the banshee, I started small jumps and worked them till I had them nailed and worked my way on to bigger ones. It;s all about knowing your machine...and your limits!
  9. I'm blessed to have 25 and 27 year old sons who actually want to spend time with old dad. And ya can't beat spending time riding, tweaking, cleaning and playing with atv's. Except maybe spending time with my oldest sons twins (2 sets....the oldest set is 27 months the newest is 3 months!). He doesn't have a lot of free time right now! But I enjoy really enjoy the grandkids. I don't know how we'll afford 4 50cc atv's when the time comes!
  10. Today was the third time out for my new (well...new to me) 2002 Banshee (maintained by the previous owner in totally stock condition). With a week of ice and snow behind us here in St. Louis..the prediction was for 48 degrees and sunny today so my son and I headed for the state park. Yeah...I'm 52 years old..yeah this is my first Banshee...and yeah....it amazes me everytime I hit the throttle. WHat a great day! Only about 20 other ATV's in more than 4000 acres of sand/mine tailings and trails. We had the place to ourselves. I'm SO glad I got the Banshee....it all started as a way for me to keep up with my son on his 660 Raptor. I looked at other 4 strokes...other makes....but this was it. I had ridden 2 strokes as a teen and had an appreciation for the powerband. So, it felt like an old friend when I first experienced the pull of the banshee in the upper rev range. I know there are plenty of things that will make it faster...but for now, it's fine and just plain put a grin on your face fun everytime she hits the powerband. I'm lso impressed with the handling, which some folks fault. But hey,....that's why they make so many types and styles of ATV's cause we all don't like the same thing. Just a note here to celebrate a great day of riding with my son on a great machine.
  11. Will see how old the crowd on HQ is.... "I rode my bicycle past your window last night"............................ extra points if you don't have to google it
  12. Stock 02 running raptor style Dunlops. SO far I'm impressed with them. We ride at a state park with primarily sand and sand/dirt trails and an open area with old lead mine tailings. They hang on better than the stock tires ever did.
  13. Got a stock 02....just bought it but I have about 10 hours on the plugs and it runs perfect. Then, it's me and my son on his 660 Raptor flying around the state park...so I keep it revved and clean. The guy I bought it from said it fouled plugs but I don't thin he was running it enough or hard enough. Time will tell....
