  1. I would get a 450 if you plan on racing motocross for a while and want to be competitive. A banshee can be a good starter quad to learn on, but once you get fast on a banshee... you will be 10x faster once you hop on a 450! They just dont wear you out as much and are much more forgiving. A banshee you have to be in the perfect gear out of corners, 450 you can just pull through about anything. I love my banshee tho and will not be changin over to a 450 anytime soon!!
  2. Its mainly preference... I race both quads and bikes.... on a bike twist throttle is so much easier because you ride with you body. On a quad id never put a twist throttle on, mainly because your just hangin on to the bars when you turn. Maybe try and find a cheap twist throttle of ebay to try it out or something. And arm pump will go away the more you ride and learn to relax
  3. I agree that it is not the quad that makes you comeptive... its mostly the rider. I can beat 450s all day on mine, my motor is mostly stock with pipes, cool head, and a single carb. For suspension i have 2+1 arms, -2 swinger, and a steering stabilzer. You sound like you have the right idea... just get more suspension to make it easier to ride. Id go with 2+1 arms and shocks made for the banshee.
  4. Hey DMAN94..... what kind of stem do you have on that thing? how much bigger is it? looks like you got a nice setup!
  5. suspension is all you need!! a arms, shocks, maybe a steering stabilzer... have fun!
  6. Hey i just finished rebuildin mine!! heres what she looks like now!!!
  7. Here is mine... Its gettin a total rebuild right now ill post more pics when its done!!
  8. Hey i see a lot of the guys at the track run their quads without a rear skidplate... this doesnt make much sense to me? doesnt your rotor and sprocket get all beat up? any you guys do this? i dunno im just wondering...
  9. Just recieved my parts as said!!! Fast shipping too.... Thanks a bunch Josh!!
  10. yeah those will work i think.... i have the same setup
  11. Im runnin fmf fatties, .030 over and a cool head with 20cc domes and its pleanty... I agree with twiles.... you dont need motor work for mx... a set of pipes and you should be good, put your money into suspension.
  12. Here's a few.... im glad to see that some people still race shees out on the track!!
