  1. the needle hieght is adjusted with a clip that goes into groove at the top of the needle, its already in there..
  2. 210 is fine, 220 and up is when you wanna back off, and ride it around at a good pace (low throttle, low rpm's...in 6th gear) to get air flow over the rad and let it cool down...
  3. him: how much does a polar bear wiegh? her: iono.. him: enough to break the ice, hi i'm...name here
  4. my bike before porting ran a 175 at ~2500ft, and i had pretty much the same setup....so, start at a 175 main, EEK needle (middle clip), and a 45 pilot
  5. i like my coolhead, except for the fact its a PITA to put on...... I've been thinkin about havin my stocker milled and the domes reshaped, and sellin the coolhead. I like bein able to put stuff on and have it be done... Stock head takes me less then 5 minutes to put on. Coolhead takes a half hour, and it is really easy to screw up and havce it leak... $100 to totally redo the stocker. or $235 to buy a coolhead, that does look nice, but is kinda a pain..
  6. you don't have to widen th rear right away. I would actually leave the rear a lil lnarrower than the front. If you look at most offroad racecars, the front of the car is a few inches wider than the rear..
  7. increase the preload on your shocks, that'll raise your ride hieght..
  8. oh...
  9. heavy breather?
  10. i ride a lot of desert, don't race, but i feel i could do ok if were to. I love my TCS's fronts. valving is perfect, and they never fade. Unfortunately they don't make a rear shock, they only revelve the stocker(i had racetech do mine, it was a waste), so i'm goin with elka for my rear shock and linkage.
  11. yup, i had a ricky stator fall apart on me and they payed shipping for me to send them the ruined stator, and they sent me a new free of charge...i would never hesitate to buy from them again.
  12. if you want another stovker go with NYUK's, he isn't gonna send you bad shit. A roundhouse swinger/carrier combe will run you $650-$900
  13. prolly after i finish high school, then college, and find a decent career... when the v8 goes in, so does the front to rear cage, equal length frontend, 3 link rear end, king shocks, FF currie 9in, and c4 trans... ya, that'll only cost like $25,000. and then i'll need something to drive on a daily basis..
  14. ya, i'd run 50/50 with that compression...
  15. i wouldn't bore a banshee cylinder that thin...i know wiseco offers a piston that big, but thats really thin.. and on a bansheei think i would put you around 380cc. get your cylinders ported, you'll get way more power out of it..
  16. bahahaha... :yelrotflmao:
  17. '92 ranger. 4.0 v6. flowmaster race muffler. cold air intake. autofab bent i-beams and modded radius arms. bilstien 5100 all the way around. 32x11.50r15 BFG AT's. soon to have front bumper, 4.30 gears, auburn posi, headers and a cam..
  18. in case you guys didn't read htis...he wiehgs 120lbs, a lot lighter than most of us on here..
  19. I was leanin toward the CPI's cuz i was told they had better midrange than shearer. And since i do ride desert with this bike and its not purely a drag/dune bike, i would like to retain some midrange power..
  20. i thought white power only did dirtbike suspension, didn't know they made atv shocks..
  21. 21cc will put you safely in the pump gas range. 20cc will prolly put you on the edge of runnin 50/50. I'd just get the 21's, and if your compression is still around 140, you can go down to 20's. most builders will just trade domes with you, so you don't need to worry about paying for a second set of domes.. EDIT: if you haven't already, buy an adjustable timing plate and set it ot +4 degrees..
  22. oh, i see. everything you have is great, except the airbox....get some pod filters and clamp 'em directly onto the carbs, you'll bet more power that way... and i'd look into some better tires than stock...what kind of riding on what kind of terrain do you mostly do..
  23. did you mill your stock head, cuz your compression has already been raised to higher than stock.. what elevation do you most of your riding at, and are you willing to run racegas, 50/50, or do you wanna stay on strait pump fuel..
  24. why did you start another thread? you have another one that is basically the same a lil farther down the page...
  25. do what you were gonna do excpet buy toomey's 2into1 air filter setup, it will flow more than any airbox. than jet for your elevation and you will smoke your buddies 440ex. and an adjustable timing plate set at +4 degrees will give you a lil more power..
