  1. Its ok JD.. All I got at this point is my transmission and clutch componets.. lol LITERALLY!!
  2. If your running stock gearing on the raptor.. that could probably be the problem.. It has enough torque to pull the bigger counter sprocket.
  3. One of the site sponsors could probably beat that deal.
  4. I agree with Dave. Do a search on pistons and kinda put the info together to make your own opinion. Majority rule is wiseco. I must admit I was a bit scared running the WSM's but.. after 2 yrs my pistons still were in good shape when I pulled them and they went through HELL!! Lots of cold passes without warmup running @ 13 degree advanced timing. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. But for every good story you hear.. you'll hear a few horror stories also and that goes for every piston. Pistons are like motor oil.. everyone has their favorite.
  5. Steller and Havoc for sure!!! support some of our local HQ guys!
  6. I'd like to 2nd. that Ray (banshee(911) ) is a stand up guy... If there was any problem that he was aware of he would take care of it!
  7. Since everyone is throwing there builders name out there.. I'll shoot mine some props! Nate McCoy. I sent him my 4mil cub and had it back to my door in under 2 weeks. He's easy to get ahold of and always takes the time to answer all you questions Nate Mccoy Herr Juggs Passion Racing F.A.S.T racing Also do some fine work.
  8. whats pickup coild gap set at? and what type of timing plate? I've seen issues with the trinity style plates when timing is changed the pickup coil gap changes.
  9. My sister does die cut stickers. Her husband is Boo_69, send him a PM
  10. No cliques here... just pointing out that you dont contribute anything to this board but are the first person to try and bust peoples balls when you dont like a response.. also.. with a 400ex only costing around 1500. It would make more torque then a banshee for less money then building one up. and be a all around better machine in the woods. So I saw that as a viable option to "want to setup a torquey trail monster" depending on budget.. wich wasn't stated.. So thats my take on that and now I'm done with this thread unless it turns civil and gets back to topic.
  11. Well.... atleast thats a sugestion..
  12. I noticed that you didn't have any suggestion on how to "set up a torquey trail monster" to go with your little rant... Are you going to contribute to the thread or just start shit as usual? 400ex's are going for 1500 or less here. can pick up some older 660 raptors for 2100.
  13. Expensive compared to what? The initial cost of the cylinders isn't bad. They would probably be pretty good for open riding. You can get a cub in a 392 wich is a stock stroke but with 68mm bore so it will bolt right on. No tranny work is "needed" but.. it would be better to have some done to help shifting under power.
  14. heard they do good work.. never actually had them do anything for me though..
  15. with a stock head your limited to dome configurations.. Builders have more options when their cutting from blanks.
  16. The design of the 85's are much more efficient then the banshee. You can't even compare a dirt bike to a banshee... NIGHT AND DAY differences. You might think they have more bottom end.. but strap another 200lbs and ALOT more traction to that bike and see how much bottom end it has. Even the lil 85's get updates year to year. The manufacturere's have to keep the edge. You pick a carb based on the application it will be used for. A 4mil stroker with a trail port will be fine with stock carbs or 28pwks.. I personally will not use anything bigger then 28's on trails. I've tried 33's and 35's... and I didn't like it. I also agree with Dajogejr.. I bought a 4-stroke for trails.
  17. you mean that tab that the air box rides on?
  18. shit almost seems contagious...
  19. I just get the parts from the dealer.. i thinkit totals like 3 bucks or somthing...
  20. You will learn young grasshoppa.... Confusious once say... he who knows little.. knows less then the one who knows all....
  21. ohh boy... :ninja:
  22. I dont think thats from pulling the clutch....
  23. about 2-3hp difference between inframes and oof's
  24. The clutch pack itself wont affect the pull... Its going to be the clutch springs.. Ofcourse this is after you've lubed the cable. Some aftermarket clutches come with stiffer springs.
  25. I think he's a bit shady.... he's been promising me a ultra lightweight swinger for a LONG time now.. I'm still waiting TIM!! WTF!! lol j/k.. Tim is a cool cat.
