this is technically my 2nd VW, 1st was an '85 Golf 2. turd of a car lol. didnt have it very long. VR6's are sweet. been looking at the swaps into an MK2 already lol i'd rather have a BBB
-
i have too admit, having only owned this thing for ~2 weeks now, this is by far the funnest car i have owned. its very peppy for a 2.0 4cyl and handles like its on rails!

most paintless dent removal is done with "spoons" IIRC. and i think it can only be done in certain areas, where the tools (spoons) can be insterted. i'm tempted to try the above method on my Toyota truck but i dont know, those keyboard sprayers are like $6 a can lol

good deal man, let the pooter pounding commence. lol -
i think you can get camouflage tires too. i say go for it. the Banshee has the styling that will fit this well, as it is shaped like a piece of military equipment IMO. it would be a good match. but dont do the little guns thing... OCC you should mess around in photoshop, do one in WW2 scheme and one in desert camo scheme (which would be badass!).

Whats the difference between the 450 arms and a set of aftermarket arms?
Mullet Man replied to cat's topic in Suspension
that entire reply is funny  1 you recommend Alba 2 who is precision concepts? 3 "looked into doing it yourself", as in without any help or guidance, or refering to the 21 page topic in this forum on that very subject? and 4, you are comparing "good pricing" of $1,000 vs. something that will cost you right around $300-$350 when said and done. btw, what hastles and problems down the line are they (Precision Concepts) knowledgeable of? -
extremely tight spandex pants and Looney Toons T-shirts, (specifically the Tazmanian Devil)? its like a dollar bill on a fishing reel, gets me everytime :ninja:

grease zerks are facing up, i'm gonna say they are on right. besides, it looks like if you flipped the uppers that there would be too much of an angle on the rear upper arm and it would interfere with the shock. but it could just be optical. may be possible that the lowers are on wrong sides... what makes you think it isnt right?
-
yeah but you still cant punch them in the face after the 3 weeks it takes for them to show their true colors.....psycho coocoo
-
yeah, you dont want "+" anything for a YFZ, +2+1 for a YFZ will make your banshee almost 5inches wider.... on each side! lol altho, it would be an interesting experiment with the correct shocks/tierods/brake lines.

motor is internally stock, including the clutch. there are no case cracks or breaks, it is a virgin great running setup! carbs have 340 mains and 27.5 pilots, stock needles. the T5 expansion chambers are HT ceramic painted (FlameThrower paint, could use redone or chromed or whatever), stingers and silencers are Toomey original. filter setup is a ProFlow billet adapter with foam filter and K&N precharger, airbox has been cutoff around the filter but the airbox support mounts are still utilized. stock reeds and cages. carbs still have TORS on them. EDIT: i will also throw in 2 UNI foam pod filters that are new, never been used for the stock carbs, to whomever buys the motor combo i will ship the motor setup out in 2 packages, the pipes and filter/carbs/cables in one box and the motor, crated up (2x4) and boxed in with 1/4" plywood with handles to carry it. i dont want to split the roller up yet, and BTW i forgot, the IMS pegs are Blaster position (but i have them mounted so you dont have to shorten the shifter). if i can find the stock pegs i have somewhere, i might do those by themselves, then i would drop the price down on the roller accordingly. also, the roller will come with some DG Alloy series nerf bars (big tubes/black nets) yep, i'm done riding, for the time being anyway. just too much bad luck within to short of a time span for me. i was making laps on a dirt oval flat track, hanging the ass end out around the turns in the top of 5th gear and this one time (like my 20th lap for the day) it came around just a little to far, dug in on the right side and ejected me off the quad about 25ft and Shee took a tumble buckleing the front right suspension. it was a wild ride and i remember all of it lol. a spectator said i looked like Superman, that is until i came crashing down on my shoulder. i popped it back into place tho about 30m later without issue, now its just very tender and sore. i work hard so i can play hard Nunya, just time to take a break for a while! i will get pics and all that jazz up this coming weekend, i'm out of town until Friday sometime. -
i wrecked on Sat. and destroyed the right front (sitting on the bike) suspension. upper a-arm is in 3 pieces, lower is bent to all hell, and the shock is shaped like a "j" lol. i also dislocated my left shoulder. with the line of work i am in, i cant be doing this to myself anymore. i fractured my right collar bone august of last year, i have 30yrs of a career left and i need to physically be able to last that long. wrecking on my toys and hurting myself is not helping that goal! so on to the Banshee... i have a complete engine from filter to pipes out of my '03 stock virgin motor, never had the head off of it, i will sell for $1300 shipped! that includes carbs, cables, Proflow filter, complete T5 pipe set, engine wiring, kicker, shifter, all of it plus an extra set of .030" cylinders with pistons/rings and a shaved stock head (all in bolt on useable condition). basically be able to bolt into a frame and ride off the same day! rolling frame includes everything except what gets sold with the motor above. brakes, good left side suspension, NOSS tie rods, complete rear, radiator, plastics (black and red), wheels/tires, hide a key (with 2 keys), tether kill, IMS pegs with kickups, EVERYTHING!! find 2 good YFZ a-arms, upper/lower and a good YFZ shock thats all thats needed. if i fix the suspension, the price goes up accordingly. $1,100, bill of sale, sorry lost the title. (no shipping on this, but i can meet up on a weekend sometime, or help with delivery if not too far, for a fee at the price of gas) i would like to get rid of this thing in 2 sales and be done with it. (1 is even better). if i fix the front right suspension, i will sell the complete bike for $2500 not including the extra top end. pics this coming weekend. i can get video of the motor running as well, before i take it out of the frame. pm or e-mail me  Steve

right, i could've told you that. but neglected. just order it from Rocky Mountain or PD direct. your local dealer should be able to get it as well.
-
click and scroll Rocky Mountain ATV should have it.
-
yeah, hes on here. i think he posted that vid a while back in the video forum.

thats pretty good. i was looking on Sears site yesterday and only came across the ~$160 unit. i am looking for my oldman but i dont think anything over ~4inches tall or so will fit under his choppa. the low profile ones are spendy. after reading some reviews on it in that link above, there are some very not so satisfied customers. has a bottle jack like the Harbor freight unit and lots of complaints about it.
-
look into a Yamaha Seca or Seca 2, should be cheap and reliable. early 90's. not bad cafe style bikes. not rip your arms off superbike either.
-

-

-
