oh yeah, tru that. i think i'm going to degrease and strip the frame i have to keep cost down. maybe i'll do a rattle can clearcoat myself afterwards. this is a budget build up (as with anything i do lol). but its for the woman so i want her riding pretty :biggrin:

i'd love my aftermarket shocks too if i spent $400+ on them. the question after that is whether or not i would love myself for having spent that much for them lol. pickup a pair of YFZ shocks and try them out, if you dont like them, turn around and sell. very unlikely that you would lose any money by doing so. might even be able to make a dollar or 2.

K&N makes their own version of "Outerwears", called "Prechargers". maybe look into them...

great price you get! so i need to specify or ask for (just in case its not standard in that price) plugging of bolt holes and bearing taping. i like the idea of clear coating as well.

yea, you could use the screw type clamps like for the exhaust pipe to stinger tube seal or a tiny worm clamp. you should be able to find a kit with a few different sizes (couple of each) at an auto parts store. whats wrong with zip ties? hahaha :ermm:

yep, '04-'07 a-arms are the same. only thing different is the tie rods and tie rod ends/balljoints. i would just get the arms off of him and then buy some aftermarket tie rods that measure 13-3/8" ($40 from NOSS Machine when you mention you are a BHQ member) and yes, stock brake lines will work just fine! refer to the pictures on page 1 for info on how to route them. :thumbsup:

what are you guys paying to have a frame powder coated? i got a quote from a place in Decatur IL called Strip Masters. they want $50-$60 to PC my blaster frame in black and close to double that for media blasting :biggrin: every other place i called wanted $150 and up for PC work only, not including blasting. i think at that price, i will have them do some other pieces as well!

yamalube 2R @ 40:1. 16oz bottle to 5 gallons of gas. no probs here. going to run the blaster on it as well for the convenience and ease.

use something with a blunt end (allen wrench worked good for me) so not to damage them. tap it out from the inside with a hammer, working your way around the bushing so it comes out evenly. dont use something with a sharp end on it to tap it out. should pop right out after a few taps around it.
