  1. So did you get a delivery yesterday?
  2. You might be able to see damage from the fire ring to a cooling jacket. Also check the head for warpage. The Clymers Manual will help you trouble shoot this.
  3. There is a plastic gear on the end of the WP impeller shaft. They can melt and not function 100%. And your low compression is probably due to a blown HG from a warped head. Either way, I'd get yourself a Clymers Manual and take a look at it. You can also eliminate the TORS as well. Just my $.02. One more thing, are those cold compression test numbers?
  4. And don't ever get into the powerband in 1st gear on the street...
  5. I ride a twist too. You have to be up on the tank with your right foot ready for some back brake action to help settle her down if she gets out of line.
  6. I was trying to illustrate static compression ratio with everything else being equal except displacement. Wouldn't the math be correct if both the 350cc motor and the 500cc motor had identical exhaust port timings?
  7. Wrap your head around this: Compression Ratio = (Total Cylinder Volume) / (Combustion Chamber Volume) A 350cc engine cut in half is 175cc's. One cylinder is going to ingest 175cc's + one 22cc dome worth of air/fuel = 197cc's. So, (197 / 22) = ~9:1 compression ratio So, now take a 500cc motor. Long story short, (250 + 22) / 22 = ~12.4:1 compression ratio. Little different, isn't it?
  8. Did you cut every other engagement dog off both sides like this? http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=140526&view=findpost&p=1213705
  9. Congrats on your results! What are you running for a clutch set-up? Any transmission mods?
  10. Thanks for clearing that up.
  11. You my friend are a perfect candidate for the 421cc Serval. Call FAST, HJR or M&M and ask them about the 421cc Serval. Makes 80whp and 50ft*lbs of torque on pump gas. You already have the 4mil crank, you're half way there.
  12. Hiper Tech 3's cost a small fortune. A set for the rear will cost up to and over $500. ITP Baja or Douglas Evo rims will run you a touch over $200.
  13. G-Force Axles are adjustable from 1-5/8" to 3-5/8". http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&webTypeId=17&navTitle=ATV+Accessories&webCatId=24&prodFamilyId=9207
  14. This link will educate you, it helped me out. http://www.directdrivecnc.net/banlockout.html You can also do a search by selecting the little snowflake looking icon in the upper right hand corner of the page. Type "lock-out" or "lock-up". Include the quotes and select "search titles only".
  15. The Serval is going to test your entire clutch and shifting mechanisms. Now is a good time to do maintenance on the entire clutch system. All the way from the clutch lever to the pancake bearing. I would get the following from FAST: Modded Shift Shaft / Spring and Oil Seal New Eccentric Screw New Locking Tab Billet Basket and New Locking Tab FAST Clutch and Springs Pancake Bearing ?Clutch Push Rod and Ball? ?Clutch Actuator and Seal? ?New Clutch Inner Hub? ?New Clutch Pressure Plate? ?Clutch Cable? Find an Ez Pull Clutch Lever http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=146323&st=0&p=1261960&hl="ez%20pull"&fromsearch=1entry1261960 They say a lock-up recommended, but people say their FAST Clutch Kit has worked just fine.
  16. Wow... Bump for a great deal!
  17. That's what I thought, pole 8 on the water and Sand Highway Marker 25. They close from pole 6 to pole 8 from Mar. 1st to Sept 30th.
  18. Cool. For one reason or another I thought you were running the Noss Head and Domes on your Dune Port Stk Cyl... My Bad I can't wait for results. Did Andy do a clean-up port on the Serval?
  19. If he bought the domes for the Serval he's good to go.
  20. N I C E ! Now I really can't wait to see these results. Make sure and have Andy at M&M cut you some new domes for the Serval cylinders.
  21. NICE, I too will be following this thread. On another note, how the heck do you change plugs with those R2's?
  22. Yeah, not interested in those. I have a set of Sand Skate II's.
  23. You still have these?
  24. There are mile marker poles out there, how far did you get? IIRC, I've been as deep as pole 8...
  25. Call a your engine builder. I want in on this too. I have a set I'll be using as well.
