  1. I can't make it this time, but while you're down there you should find out when they do open that area. I'll plan some trips down there during that time.
  2. WTF? You need to read this thread and post #9 somes it up. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136662&st=0&p=1180525&fromsearch=1entry1180525
  3. Do you still have the billet gear slammer?
  4. Here's that thread you were talking about Jeff. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=144563&st=0&p=1246661&fromsearch=1entry1246661
  5. If you have stock carbs, then you're jetted way too rich. Start with 280's and go from there. What's your elevation?
  6. I want in on this as well. I've read that the Shearers make more power, but have a slight fitment issue? Hopefully people who own the two different pipes can chime in. I really like the whole look of the CPI's!
  7. I jetted my T5 pipes w/2 into 1 Uni Filter/Outerwear per Toomey's recommendations: 280 mains at sea level 270 mains > 2500 ft 25 pilots Needle Clip 4th down from grooved end of needle. Airscrew at approx. 1.5 turns out from full in.
  8. Yes indeed, HJR FTW!
  9. Carlo, how was Dune Fest? Lucky Dog!
  10. What width 8" rim would best fit the 21x12x8 10 paddle hauler? 8x8 8x9 8x10
  11. That's funny. I built my 87 back in 95. It was a complete teardown rebuild. I must have well over 50hrs on that setup. May sound weird, but none of my friends rode Banshees. I don't know what another Banshee even rides like. I just bought this 02 about 12 days ago without even riding it. She's all stock except for the Toomey kit.
  12. Nice, do you have a build thread or a mod list? I'm gonna push these 02 stock carbs to the limit.
  13. Check out my sig for my 87. My 87 pulls on my buddies 250R w/CT Racing's 330 kit. With me on my Banshee and my buddy on his 250R, I out weigh him by an easy 100lbs. Still on stock 1987 reeds. Bike doesn't even idle. Needs to be tuned, but pulls the front tires up rolling into the powerband in 3rd in the sand. I just recently bought the 2002 in my sig. I have yet to ride it. I'm recovering from surgery. I plan to max out the stock carbs on that bike.
  14. What 2 into 1 intake are you picking up? The jetting should be pretty close if it comes with the intake, no? Once you get it, pull it apart, find out what needle, needle clip position, pilot jet and main jets it has in it. I lik to replace the phillips screws with sst socket head cap screws, ie., allen head screws. Buy a large can of Carb Clean and clean out the carb completely. I like to verify that fuel does not overflow out of the bowl. This would indicate a faulty needle and seat valve in the fuel inlet. Trinity sells 2 into 1 intakes that run the 33mm PWK Keihin. Call them and ask for Joe. http://www.trinityracing.com/yamaha-banshee.html#intakes He's cool, he rides and knows Banshees. He'll get your tune very close over the phone. The more info you give Joe about your setup, ie., elevation, type of riding, average temp, mods, etc, the more he can help you. If they ask, just tell them its their product that you're bought used online, Joe should help you out.
  15. Why don't you start by telling us what needle, pilot jet and main jet you have. I agree 175 main is a very good place to start.
  16. Glad you found a potential testing area. Make sure and get some video of this turbo rail! Forced Induction is so addictive!
  17. Yamalube 2R 40:1, 16oz to 5gal
  18. I assume the stock curve is curve 4? It appears that the progamable ignition unit negates the need for an adjustable timing plate, correct? What octane fuel are you running? What elevation do you ride at?
  19. Yep, I can see curve 3 has a nice plateau and pulls longer than any other curve. I have an adjustable timing plate I might have to sell or run it in conjunction with a DynaTech if necessary. Do you happen to know what a stk Banshee timing curve looks like? And do you know if the stk ignition system has a rev limiter?
  20. First mods I'm doing my stock 2002 is full front and rear suspension. I have a ST +2+1 JP Engineering/Works triple rates w/rezzies on my 87 J-Arm and I'm very pleased. Now I have the stock suspended 2002 that's in my sig. I'm torn between a LSR ST +2+1, ST +3+1 or a LT +3+1 front setup. Do your LSR upper A-Arms pivot on 3 piece heavy duty teflon lined adjustable hiem joints? I want a suspension system that raises the entire bike like 1 - 2 inches higher if that's even possible. I'm going to call Matt at SoCal tomorrow and see if he has some time to educate me on my suspension options. This is Nieskes' Banshee with Elkas and ST +3+1 LSR front suspension. I really like this stance. Do the front wheels appear to be a 3x2 offset to you?
  21. Nice Ride! I'm really diggin the red, white and black! That has to be one of the most perfect "First Round" of mods. Now see what a set of V-Force 3's will do! How does the Dynateck Ignition Box with #3 timing map work?
  22. Killer find! Are you running the 20x11x9 on a 9x8 Rim or a 9x9 Rim? They also offer 20x10x9's, 19x10x9's and 18x10x9's I like their 21x10x7 MX Front Tire too.
  23. I'll take the grab bar for $20 shipped if you still have it. PM me your PP info.
  24. Thanks guys, but I'm going to ride this b!tch. The sap I bought it from still has the stock exhaust for it. He even offered it to me.
  25. Thanks guys, I'm very excited!
