  1. I have a set of triple chrome plated PT Mids with freshly repacked OG Fayboy silencers. I bought some stuff to clean them up, so give me a couple days to get them ready for pics. Where you located?
  2. Wow, I thought that was the same engine just tuned better.
  3. You happen to know what mods this machine had during this pull?
  4. Still don't know a mod list or current jets.
  5. This is getting good. What jets do you have in the carbs right now? Are you getting fuel to the carbs? What's the average air temp and elevation? What fuel/oil do you use and what is the pre-mix ratio? How many ounces of oil to gallons of fuel? How old is the fuel you're using? Was it in a sealed container? What is your air filter configuration? Please list all your mods.
  6. ^^^ You bought a dual set-up, right?

  8. I'll be down down there for Memorial Day Weekend. Haven't anything about Easter.
  9. Mine are triple rates. They're sick ass fuck and i can't wait to get them installed. I'm going with a three stage Candy Blue powder on the a-arms and two stage metallic silver on the tie rods. Some day when I sell a kidney or something I'll get the Elka Link and LT Stage 5 in the rear to match... .
  10. yeah, Eric told me that Elka re-engineered the shocks to work better with the LT Arms to help with bump steer.
  11. I called the 800 number and the guy answered in French, then I called Eric at Elka here in CA and he said the same thing. Something is weird. My Stage 5's came in right at 483mm. I'm going to run them... Fuck It!
  12. I just got off the phone with Larry at Fireball and he just told me that an 18.75" to 19.25" eye to eye shock works best with their LT A-Arms.
  13. I I think you meant 1/4". I just called Elka twice and spoke to two different guys and they both told me that for Fireball and Janseen LT A-Arms the shock eye to eye length is 483mm or 19". They both said they've been building them like this for 10yrs... WTF? Thoughts?
  14. This is just a WAG. needles middle clip 27.5 pilots 280 mains 1.5 turns out on the airscrews from fully seated. Do Not Over Tighten the airscrews! Just seat them, take note of the screw head slot and turn them out 1.5 turns. They should be the same. Do you still have TORS? Make sure your carb slides are sync'd. The bottom end is going to suck with CPI In Frame Drag Pipes. You will have to slip the clutch more to keep the stock port motor on the pipe. I can't imagine you're riding trails with this pipe set-up, but stranger things have happened. If you are riding dirty/muddy wet areas? Do you plan on keeping the airbox and lid? If so, get the Pro-Design billet intake kit that fits in the airbox and allows you to replace that stock POS stock filter set-up with a K&N Filter and an Outer Wear. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=457 If you do not ride in dirty/muddy areas, then get two K&N Filters and Outer Weasrs for the stock carbs and remove the entire airbox entirely. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=330
  15. Keihin has the 28mm PWK's, then a large 5mm diameter jump up to 33mm PWK's. Then there's the OKO 30mm Keihin Knock-Offs that I refuse to buy. So something in the 30-31mm range would be sweet and I think it would fill a void in the aftermarket carb world that a lot of us "Play Bike" riders want/need... Thoughts?
  16. Are those Fireball Long Travel A-Arms? Do you happen to know the eye to eye length of the front shocks?
  17. I want to see more of your entire bike. That blue frame looks sick!
  18. Do you suspect the motor has port work and can possibly be stroked. Stock stroke is 54mm. You can find out what stroke crank you have w/out tearing the motor apart. If interested, I can elaborate. I would perform a leak down test to make sure you don't have an air leak. An air leak will create a lean condition and cause the motor to require more fuel. Make sure the intake boots don't have any cracks around where the cross-over tube attaches. If the reed cage gaskets are bad an air leak there will definitely cause a lean condition. There is absolutely no reason at all why your motor requires 35 pilots and only 330 mains.
  19. what is your entire mod list? what is your elevation and avg. air temp? Are your running 35 pilots in stock carbs? I didn't even know they made 35 pilots for stock carbs. If you're indeed running 35 pilots, then your next step down to lean it out would be 32.5's.
  20. I think it should probably read "30 pilots to 27.5 pilots". You can tell if your pilots are too big if your airscrews are turned more than 2.5x out from full closed. You want your throttle snappy right off idle. Ideally you want your airscrews ~1.5 turns out from full closed. Do a proper plug chop to see if your main jets are the correct size.
  21. What's the smallest carb you can make out of the 35mm base carb? And will it have the air stryker fins too?
  22. Take them apart, one at a time so you don't inadvertantly mix parts. Note what jets you currently have in them, ie., pilots, needles, needle clip position and mains. Use carb cleaner and wear safety glasses. Pull the floats off and the needle of the fuel inlet needle and seat. Use some toothpaste on a q-tip to polish the seat. Use compressed air to blow every orifice out completely. If you're talking about stock carbs, i recommend ordering new OE bowl gaskets and switch out the bowl screws to allen heads.
