  11. damn son you riddin in antarctica?????????? you said it was cold, but freeze the gas line........ :miner: :miner: :miner:
  12. what your talking about is the cross over tube. you can waste 30.00 on a boost bottle there. you can leave it stock, you can get an internal crossover like boss,or some seal them off..
  13. not yet, guess thats why i am doing this... weather is supposed to take another shit.... fired off an email to jeff.... now would be a good time for nology coil and to actually get some pipe clamps. i am going first chance i get to the badlands and see what its like........ figured i would do it before nicer weather gets here!!!
  14. mounting and wire route used a piece of heat shrink tubing for wires by handlebar wire to blk/wht... black to black splice.. finished .....
  15. my dog ran off with the plug ...... right after i snipped it off.....     oh well... thats why its a permenant mod...
  16. you can still use the kill switch on handlebar... or i am getting ready to wire in kill tether cord too..... have read in here to use the kill switch wiring system to run tether.. tether is normal open so by splicing in to the black and the black /white wire you basically just wire in another switch when activated closes the circuit.... i will take some pics of this also....
  17. heres a couple of pics on the wires to splice when removing key...... (99 wiring harness) the wires and plug. removing the plug. solder wires. slodering iron ,.032 flux solder, heat shrink tubing. end result.
  18. i am with daj on this one too..... a little ounce of hi temp RTV (prevention),is worth a lot more than a pound of melted pistons (cure)new ones !!!!!! sorry fire head but i am disagreeing with you on another subject!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. nope just a deep freeze.....it only shrinks and expands so far..(i agree) its not the majic cure. but it does help... wasnt trying to steal the thread sorry... guess i will shut the f... up since i have no clue what i am talking about ...... :: :: :: :: hopefully some one will chime in and help you out
  20. i am not talking about using a blow torch( setting bearings on drop light or oven at 200deg) just enough to open i.d. of bearing even (.0005 of a inch)can help i do this all the time at work. precision cnc machinery. even the manufacturers of tool machinery do it. i have been to a few maintenance classes at the machine tool builders facilties.. sorry i have never experianced a faliure because of installation... just my .02cents
  21. i have access to a sand blaster at work.... save a bunch of time stripping it. the first time i tried primer and paint 1200 deg ceramic... it flaked off after a season paint was shot down by cylinders.. this time i went a head and baked paint like instructions say to make finish harder... so far it has worked... heat cycles of break in...... first couple of test rides... spilled gas on from filling tank... (dumbass) rode for approx 1 hr total... 20 min warm up and spin around block.. temp gauge has been up to 150 deg and no paint flake yet!!!!!! hope thats the trick.. or trade in for chrome ones....
  22. not being a prick but wrong forum......... repair and modification would be the correct place to ask this question and to answer question pulling bearings off with pullers is best.. heating bearings and cooling crank off having arbor press ready to seat bearings would be best. but if you feel comfortable hammering on bearings.... you could beat with hammer and center punch i guess ????
  23. i am not baggin on you specifically................... ok apply yourself for 2 more hours and be that much ahead of the game.........
  24. no sh..... i worked 10-12 day during week.. 4-6 hrs saturday & sundays for about 3 months straight. and thats how i paid to do this .... and i still had a life .. went out with girlfriend, did stuff with son, feed dog, paybills, keep house clean,do laundry, feed myself, maintain truck, see my point welcome to reality .............................
  25. you dont think work gets boring ??????????? i dont care what it is .... scooping shit, to designing space shuttle parts.. you may like your job...... but after a while, maybe years, it ends up dulling out.. most jobs give you a lunch... hell even the marine corps lets you stop and eat, so where are you going with that??????? not saying your a troubled teenager  just dont understand your point of view!!!!!!!!!
