  1. waz up all????? i aint been on in a while, but id be down for showing up for a ride with the bhq badlands crew.... i only made it out there once this year... been busy getting a getting a diffrent rig to roll around in and haul the toy.....
  2. if your mainly trails (rocks, stumps, roots)the 9" rim gives you more sidewall on a 20"tire... i had a set of 10" and after a couple yrs they were pretty beat up... i went with a baja and 20" tire and havent had anything bend it yet and that is with 2 more yrs on it....
  3. i love the airbox gives me alot better feeling when i hit puddles or an ocassional small creek crossing...it was a pain in the ass to get to fit ... 33pwk's,intake and v3's make everything go back... from original mounts.had to cut them off frame to tuck inbetween frame
  4. nope on the s west side of indy ...ride out in danville in. and make a few trips a year to the badlands in attica in. it does have a drain down in front center between air filter flanges
  5. you could put in an aftermarket impellar... it does help somewhat and is added insurance against nylon impellar fins braking off and you not know it...
  6. havent had any problems with it and love the set up just to follow up...
  7. im still planning on going, looks like they have had about 2in. of rain... (kinda sucks) the orange trail and wooded area will be flooded out for the most part... ON the good side there is still such a big pea gravel and sand area that the water doesnt pond up in... shouldnt be to dusty
  8. so far i am planning on being there.... will have a friend with a 450r too... still dicking with my jetting since i added alum. air box. i love the idea of not having the clamp on filters, but it did change the air flow, good time to try and maybe dial it in.ill bring my jets
  9. i cant figure out how to edit my previous post but it was 06 instead of 04...either way that is your answer it was a special edition of stock yamaha plastic.. i have a set on my 99... black is a bitch for scratches.. maybe think about a blue back piece and tie it in with a seat cover scheme..
  10. yamaha banshee special edition in 04 had them.. check yamaha of troy ohio web site... i bought a full set a couple of years ago... the radiator shroud is fake carbon fiber looking also
  11. im am gonna try to squeeze that one in so far nothing on my schedule....
  12. you can relocate it in the trash... that is the easiest or you can buy a relocation bracket that moves it under your seat... if you SEARCH you will find all the answers here at the hq...
  13. i would like to go :woot: mot sure whats planned for me then... dont count me in as of yet but a definate maybe... plus i got mine dialed in with the air box mod and going to try it out tomorrow the 18th weeeee
  14. going to badlands tomorrow.... sat 18th clamp ons air box diff view another rejetted and dyno tuned by moto xperts in laffayette indiana... toby(owner) is a great guy to deal with and he really took his time and dialed it in... i have the dyno chart it was 36.5ft/lbs and 57.5hp with the airbox installed... Fast built the motor 4 1/2yrs ago... +4 timing,20cc domes, stk stroke, woods port, case port,v-3s,33pwks,nology coil w/ wires... should be a blast and hope to have more pics
  15. i had to grind off the mounting tabs on the frame, where the stock air box/coolant bottle attach...threw them in my tool box. with the boss intake,v-3s,and the 33pwk setup it moves everything back so tabs were in the way of air box...its a tight fit in between sub frame... i think i will really like this set up once dialed in... i am cheating and having a shop in lafayette in. dyno tune it for me (moto-xperts)toby is a cool dude(owner)he did an 05 450r for a buddy of mine and i was very impressed with his work... i will take some better pics and post them when i get a chance...
  16. here is a pic it took some doing to get it to fit with my setup
  17. i didnt have any problem with him shipping the product... it took about 1 1/2 weeks came by us mail... was happy with it and if it would just quit raining and i could manage some free time... i know that cfm is up in michigan... (maybe i got lucky)
  18. i have not been able to find the time to finish installing air box... the silencers and tubes needed to be removed to fit air box in place...(t-5's). my mods include v3's,boss intake, and 33 pwk's so i have the adapter boots for carb diameter and choose to try uni filters... yes there is a drain hole up twards the front of airbox between filter mounts... will keep you guys updated sorry its taking so long.. exhaust is removed and am cleaning up the area while i have apart... maybe this coming weekend????
  19. just got the airbox in going to put it on over the weekend... will let you you guys know how it works out... looks nice tig welding is uniform... atleast it looks like it gives me some protection against the spray off of tires when going thru water in creeks and on trails... still going to stay out of the deep stuff(or try) ... should be good out in the badlands at attica in...
  20. getting ready to try one out here in aweek or so... i will try to keep you posted
  21. great group of guys....... i had a good time... putting a clean set of filters and plugs half way thru the day made my shit run better... it was great to see all the banshees at the badlands. had a great time running the trails in the woods... thanks to the members of the hq that were there... and my new grill is sweet  thanks to the boys from michigan
