  1. guess you can just say its cheaper to build a banshee, but if you have the money the yfz's are no joke.
  2. i ran one of kevin's 4mil stock cylinder drag ports, but ran 34mm carbs.with the stock head you'd of thought it was stock.man did it ever turn some heads and beat some big motors!
  3. post this in the wanted section.will be alot better
  4. we need more on the mods you have.also is it ported and if so how much?
  5. get those vf3's.cause the 2's have problems with the screws backing out!
  6. usually the person porting your cylinders will tell you.your going to get all kinds of different answers.also all builders a different
  7. you want to buy 2 pistons.your looking at around 200 for the kit.if the cylinders need bored then looking at about another 100
  8. man you have the worst luck.hope you get better
  9. yeah i've tried both, high and medium compression.myself,i don't care much for alot of compression
  10. i ran a wcr tranny, but when i was out in cali, rode a few of kevins banshee's and i have to say i like his tranny's better.seem to be alil smoother shifting!
  11. i think there is alot of depates one if more compression for alky is really worth it.i know thats what seem to work best before, but i think alot of builders now are not doing that.i could be wrong!i know there is more then just compression between the two
  12. putting a set of big bore sleeve's in is just a big waste of money.imo
  13. yes would cause a lean condition but i've never seen a base gasket blow out.check the nuts that bolt the cylinder to the cases and make sure there tight
  14. i ran them and to tell you how big of a difference, i can't say,but i'd say they are worth the money if you are running 39mm or larger carbs
  15. if i was you i would stick with the builder that did your motor,if you have one.but i do know that dajogejr on here runs a pretty different cut on his alky domes.so maybe he'll chime in
  16. the easiest thing to do is find which builder you want to use, then call them and have a pencil ready and right down everything they tell you that you will need and the prices.
  17. with little or no porting,i would run 165 mains, 52 pilots and cel needles on the middle clip.but depends how far you are from sea level!
  18. guess its all depends on what all you are wanting to do to it in the future.but t5's work good on a motor all the way up to a dune port.but wouldn't run them on a drag motor.fmf fatty are also good, but i just really like the sound of the toomy's.lol
  19. not sure what type of riding you do but if its not straight out dragging then i would get a set of 35pwks for the motor you got and it will also work on the cub as well
  20. i have changed them before.pull it of with a wheel puller.then to assemble set the crank in the freezer for about a hr or so and stick the bearing in a little oven.not sure what i set it at but just till its pretty hot.then it all will go together really easy with only maybe very little tapping
  21. you cheap ass!!i'd say the 93 octane would be fine but your going to have to keep the timing down at no more then +2, i would think to be safe
  22. every motor is different. what one guy runs for jetting is not always what works best on your motor.trial and error my friend.don't be affraid to rip into those carbs and do some changing on the needles and mains.pilots are pretty much a givin, right around 50. also mess with the air fuel screw.your motor is only going to be ass fast as the guy tunning it and riding it
  23. since kevin is doing your motor talk to him.he sells the slingshot lockup which is nice cause you can run your stock cover and the 1-5 n down dunable overides he sells are really nice as well.spend the extra money and get those 2 and you will be very happy
  24. there is more power in porting. if its not already been done.the cub i had, from a clean up to a drag port was night and day
