  1. I'm sure people will answer who have personal expirience with them. I don't have them, but from what I hear they don't do much of anything for you. Unless you need to add spacers for clearance problems, but you still aren't going to get the HP boost. (just what I hear)
  2. Yeah, you know if it was a pit or a rott or any other large muscular dog they'd have hippies pushing to have them banned from the city! The whole someone broke into my house and added porn to my computer is pretty damn funny though.
  3. I remeber something about ford having 7 lugs on some 3/4 tons in the past or some shit. I'm guessing that's what the other guys were talking about
  4. rocketboy hit that one TDC. They can all kill each other for what ever reason they want, the more of them that succede the better off the rest of the world is.
  5. Stock is 14/41, pick up both a 14 and a 15. As long as you get cheap ones you won't be out much, and that way you will have options. Once you decide on a certain gearing that works well with your mods, and the terrain you ride you can worry about getting better sprockets if you want.
  6. That's an awfull lotta chillin!
  7. alright first off, what is your elevation? That will play a part in your jetting. What you have in there right now sounds lean even for summer to me. As far as wanting to go fast. Are you saying your bike isn't fast enough for you? Based on the mods you listed it is deffinatly set up for woods / MX type riding. You didn't say what your gearing was, but With the torqe you should be putting out you could easily pull some higher gearing and gain some top speed that way. As far as what jets to try running for the 0-30 deg. range. I'm in the same boat right now too. But, my shee isn't ported yet. I picked up some 340's, 27.5's, and went to the 5th notch on my needle (needles came from toomey, they have 6 notches). I haven't had a chance to take it out and run it yet though. edit: If you didn't know make sure to run a mix of race gas with that compression
  8. Mine came with my toomeys, I don't know if you can get it separate or not.
  9. Hahaha My wife is gonna see this one
  10. Not to mention, if you pick up an older one for cheap you can ride it while you are modding it. If you start from scratch you won't be able to ride till it's together. (I don't know if you have other bikes or not, this may not be an issue for you.)
  11. So are you riding trails and looking for more low end? I could be wrong, but that was what I was getting from your post. If so, try Paul Turner mids, or a 2 into 1 set up. If not, then I'm just stupid.
  12. I think you are getting too stressed out over something that is more simple than you realize. All of the pipes that have been mentioned are going to cause a big improvement over stock. Everyone has their own opinion of what pipe is best, just like I have a silverado, and will tell you chevy makes a good pick up, someone else is going to have a ford and say they kick ass. The point is it's a matter of opinion. My advice, (I've already said it) buy some fatties, or T5's. Fatties are good pipes, but people seem to think they are not as good a quality as the toomey's. Either way, I think you will be impressed with the improvement. Porting can run from about $250 - $500 or more. It all depends on what you want and or need.
  13. Merry CHRISTmas everyone, and enjoy your two strokes in our "ONE NATION UNDER GOD" and to be honest, I hardly ever go to church, but I hate people getting all stupid about the shit I was brought up with. I had christmas, not " the holidays" I said the pledge of allegiance the way it was meant to be said, and I grew up to join the army, and go to Iraq, to defend peoples right to say we are wrong for saying christmas... go figure! Anyway, I'm half drunk (if you haven't noticed) but have a merry christmas!
  14. huh huh, um like what? Oh yeah, he said uranus! Anyone notice how much this looks like Butthead? ^^
  15. Ha! I spent my porting money on new tires for my truck. So I guess I want my shee ported. Or maybe warmer weather, probably the weather. I went riding today for a very short period of time. Something about below zero temps that makes anything over 20 mph very painfull. That gives me another idea, how about a full face helmet? Either way, merry christmas all!
  16. The thing is though, he never said he was going to get it ported. Although you still haven't really explained the type of riding you do, I'm going to say that you would probably be happiest with some fatties, or maybe T5's.
  17. Did you ask weather or not anyone installs bead lock wheels on their stock wheels? Either way, I'd say weather or not they are worth it depends on what you are doing with your quad. They look cool, but I don't think looks alone justify the extra cost. What makes you think you need bead locks?
  18. Another thought, are you sure your comp. guage is reading correctly? It wouldn't be the first false reading in history
  19. In order for anyone to really reccomend a pipe for you, you have to let us know what type of riding you do... Dunes, tight trails, fire roads, mx, etc. Different pipes are designed to make peak power in different rpm ranges.
  20. I'd say if you aren't going to port it untill "quite a bit later" get the T5's. Just my .02
  21. If you want more power changing pipes isn't the way to go about getting it. You'll end up paying $600 to gain 2hp and move you power band up or down 1000 rpm's. If you don't like your pipes that's fine, replace them, but if you are just looking to gain power for the price of new pipes you could get it ported and maybe even pick up a NOSS head.
  22. Good to hear you got it going! Even if you aren't sure what you did!
  23. I'm kinda with P.T.T. here. How many miles on the truck it's self? You have to remember the engine may have 1,000 miles (according to him) but if the guage reads 200,000 than your tranny, axles, and everything else has got quite a few miles on them. Especially if he's been pulling big tires around for long. For that price you need to really think about what you are getting. Just my .02
