Make sure you choke tube is connected, also be sure you didn't put the carb slides in backwards (this can happen is swaped from side to side), pull you reed cages and be sure the reeds are seated and not broken. I would also give the carbs a good cleaning while ya have it all apart and check the float hight . Good luck.

Bottom line stock carbs suck, if Mod Shee will sell them to ya for 125. get on it, they are grat carbs and will cost half of what it would be to remove the tors , jet, buy a new cable, install an idle kit, and bore to your stock carbs, and still potentially have the famous sticky throttle problem. Flatslides are great! Buy em up!!

The god damn sticky throttle has always been an issue, then the tors gets all fuked up and people blame the tors for the problem, stock carbs suck, filter sucks, tires suck, my ebrake didn't work after the 3rd week I owned mine from new, and if you think I wanna keep adjusting it think again. On the other hand, I've never (or any of my buddy's) had any trouble with cooling, the stock impeller works fine, think of all the RD and RZ street bikes out there with the exact same set-up nad with 10's of thousands of miles on them....the stock cylinder head also is fine, no inherant problems.

best get it, he could still reposess it, there goes $900....

Nikasil is a heat treatment (nickle silicon carbide), it penetrates aluminum sleeves, iron sleeves can also be niasil'd, I belive the cheetahs are still iron sleeve. I've never heard of the coating comming off with coolent??
